wait o.. we go scan the stamped pages of the passport too?

That's why I said "if you have to".

I don't think it's necessary if you won't list the country under travel history. But if you for example list UK as a country visited, it won't be a bad idea to scan the UK visa page. There's actually a provision for that while filling application form.

We thank God ooo. Visa Lodged.... All documents frontloaded except pcc uk. Still expecting it. I want to ask ooo. Do we need to attach expired passport also or just the current passport. Cos the current passport is fresh, it's the expired passport that have visas, etc. Secondly, are we to scan and attach pages with visas, stamps, etc. Thanx. Anyone in the house can also help with this. Thanx all.

There's is a section on form 80 for travel history. So you might need to upload expired passport to back that up if you included countries whose visas are on the old passport..
If you have to, make sure you account for every stamp, even stopovers. Reason why I got CO contact cry cry

Thank you very much. Now it's very clear.

God bless you.

What do you mean by grant received? COPR? If yes, then my answer is yes, so far you are yet to land. You just need to inform IRCC that you are now married and your COPR will be retrieved. You will however have to wait for about 1-3 months for them to do eligibility and background checks on your spouse. If he passes, they will re-issue PPR for both of you.

Please note that you can't have married months ago and then decide to inform them after PPR or after COPR. It will be termed as misrepresentation. Also, you can't land after marriage without informing informing IRCC of the change in marital status. If you do that, you won't ever be able to sponsor your husband again.

You have to inform IRCC within few weeks after your marriage and add him to your application or PPR, depending on the stage you are then.
I hope my explanation is clear.

Are you married already? If yes, then you HAVE to indicate that you are married in your application. Since he does not have a degree, he can just do IELTS to get back 20 points out of the 30 points allocated to him from your CRS score.

However, if you are not married yet, you can submit your application as single applicant. You can add him to your application from the time you submitted your application till just before landing. If you do go this route, he won't have any effect on your score but you will need to increase your POF to a family of 2. He will also need to fill an application, do PCC and Medicals.

The final scenario is if you marry him after landing in Canada, then you will have to sponsor him. The processing time for family sponsorship was just recently been reduced to 12 months.

You mean spouse can be added to application even after application is concluded and grant received?

If one doesn't claim his work experience during EOI by indicating irrelevant experience, won't that raise a red flag on how the person got a positive assessment in the first place and that might make them to consider your information as false for not declaring the right status of your experience. Maybe it could work for Engineers who assess through EA as they don't always need relevant work experience unlike VETASSESS which requires at least one year relevant experience.

Hmmm...good point

My IELTS result is not more than two years and I scored at least 6.5 in each section.EA requires at least 6 in each section.I have a degree in Engineering and hope to complete my MSC soonest.I want to know if this result will affect me if I use it for EA while I wait to write another few months later to hit the jackpot of 8 across each band.Another,I want to know if there are some province that do not require POF in case one fails to hit at least 60points.My degree course is in SOL.

,

Of course you can go ahead to use the current result for EA. Yes some states don't require POF but you also have to check which states can sponsor your occupation. What branch of engineering is it?

Thanks for the info. Do you have an idea of how long it take to get invitation. I applied for NSW on 4th January with 70pts for Computer Network and System Engineer but nothing since then.

Even thinking of taking PTE again for 20pts so i can increase my point to 75pts for 189 visa. I put in for 189 visa on Dec 11th, 2016.

I really don't know how long...I think they send bulk invites on specific dates. Your occupation is competitive maybe that's why you didn't get. You might, in the next round.

You might also get 189 in the next few rounds provided a lot of 70+ pointers don't join the queue. For 4th January round the visa DOE was 20/11 which is 3 weeks from when u submitted EOI. When the analysis of today's round comes out, it will give a rough idea of when you are likely to get an invite. You might then consider another PTE depending on the outcome.

Cheers bro.

For guys hoping to receive NSW nomination, looks like they've resumed for this year. Got their invitation yesterday, though I don't need it anymore.

All the best to everyone.

OK. Do you have an idea of when it's ceiling will be reached?
Secondly, it is a flagged occupation. Isn't it likely that it will be removed from the Sol by July?

No one knows when the ceiling will be full. I think it's almost 800/1000 at the moment. Why not do PTE ASAP. It's still January and you should be invited soon with 70 points. You don't wanna wait till after July and then it gets removed from SOL. The way these people are changing laws anyhow, nothing must be taken for granted and time is of essence.

Lol.
But if it's general knowledge that Universities in Nigeria don't send original copies to individuals, wouldn't that make them question how I got it in the first place?

I know I'm over analyzing but I like to tie all loose ends.
Nigeria Universities are mega-annoying.

This one is more than tying loose ends...This one is sealing loose ends with super glue cheesy cheesy cheesy. Oya use personal copy, the ogas have spoken ; cheesy : It's not an issue.

I know I can just put an institution or organizations address to get official copy but...
Pls help.

....but what?

Use any organization that you have access to. Then pick it up when it's delivered to them

Don't know if ACS accepts transcripts stamped with 'personal copy' but Engineers Australia does.
