Npowerng,
Good day, I recently changed my name officially, but I had already been selected with my former name and my page has been confirmed already. Please how do I go about editting my profile. I don't know how long it will take to effect these changes on the portal because I have to change my bank account name also. I hope these will not affect or delay my payment in any way if the bank account name does not correspond to the one on the portal.
Secondly I just applied for a driver's licence with my new name because the IDs I have are all in my former name, I was told it will take about 2 months before it will be ready, so I will not be able to upload any ID on the portal for now. What do you suggest I do. Thanks. Awaiting your response.

P.S: I am a 2017 beneficiary.
npowerng, please respond. Thanks

Mothers are breadwinners ,care for kids financially in Nigeria or which country are you talking about?

Maybe you were trying to sound sarcastic.
You are so funny.
The way Nigeria is today, you will hardly find a family where there is a single breadwinner, but couples combine efforts to care for the family financially.
FamilyRe: Why Are Fathers Under-appreciated? by Icecreamy: 9:09pm On Aug 22, 2018
That norm of father going to work and mother always with the children doesn't exist anymore. In most families both parents go to work, if children don't appreciate their fathers, I don't think it has anything to do with him going to work, there are probably other reasons.

But I believe most children appreciate both parents.

For those writing things about thier spouse (e.g birthday, anniversary messages), I think the message is simply to their spouse, just to show they are proud of her/him

FamilyRe: A Dysfunctional, Domestic Violent Family by Icecreamy: 11:29am On Aug 08, 2018
This is so complicated.
First of all, I think the father should apologise to the two children for the pain he has caused them, he should also take back the curses he placed on them (if there is anything like that) then let's see the response of the 2 of them. I believe those 2 are the main victims of the whole issue as you can see it's affecting their lives. But is the whole family really ready for peace, or it's just someone's idea and he his trying to impose it on others.
CelebritiesRe: Ifu Ennada Exposes Cee-C And Alex Beef After Acid Attack Threat by Icecreamy: 10:38pm On Aug 07, 2018
Both CeeC and Alex are bad role models to their followers/fans, they enjoy the trolling their followers do and pretend like they are not involved, meanwhile they are secretly happy about it. Their fans are reflections of them, have you ever seen Bambam, Lolu or Anto's fans troll others?

Are you Nigerian at all, or this is fiction?
You sound like one oyinbo woman, because the Nigerian women I know don't take nonsense like this. You are still asking if you should apologise, so funny. Any way, what's your husband saying about it, I guess he his enjoying all the pictures, he his the only one that can stop the other woman.

You will not live long. Living a hollywood fantasy life in Nigeria will send you to your early grave. If your mother-in-law does not influence her to kill you - especially if you're wealthy, her aunt or friends will.
Watching too many nollywood movies has affected your view of life.

Hopefully the next generation will be better if we as parents raise our children with the right values. Since we have realised some inadequacies of our parents in raising us, we had better not make the same mistake in raising our children.

I read the p-square thread and even commented cos he made a very intelligent statement and it's few nigerian men that think that smart, most men will drag fire into his own house just to prove a point to the world, the world leaves and he burns in the fire that he started, and this okoye dude decided to let the fire keep burning on the streets and let it stay far from his air-conditioned home, marked his territory and secured respect for his wife and children but most nigerians are truly not used to seeing men actually step up for their woman, actually be a man and protect her, so to them he's letting the very evil lola with 3 red horns control him cos when they see a man being a man, they think he's being a woman cos all their female relatives work and look like men after years & years of having to work like men. so they recognize masculine energy but they've only seen women exude it cos they had no choice, so when they sense masculine energy, it's a female thing to them.

most ppl here come from families with a lot of malice but their fathers never took the initiative to protect them all from the adult drama and abuse. every christmas he'll put them in a vehicle and drive them there with a long list of ppl they must not talk to when they get there and how many hail marys must be recited in their mind if this uncle/aunty hugs them. what man sees a warzone and takes his own to the frontline and tell it to try not to die when he could have protected them from all that by not taking them there in the first place? most nigerian men cant stand their ground to protect those who need them to speak up for them and sever certain ties to keep the home they're the head of happy and full of laugh. many women have damned themselves by association to weak men who are easily influenced by pressure and dont have a mind of their own. they leave women stranded and embarrassed always.
The bolded is so funny. Honestly a lot of our men need reorientation. But how do we go about this, what is really the way out.

Kai.. false prophet!! Children suffering because of their parents’ actions?
Lol, I am not a prophet, but you know all our actions have consequences. Adultery has its consequences and there is no way the children will not suffer from it. An example, if it leads to divorce, won't they suffer, if it leads to death, won't they suffer, mind you there are still lots of consequences that you can't even imagine.

MrBigiman:
It is important that every profession have a progression to their zenith though. The theoretical details for BSC nurses is definitely tougher, and takes nursing from a bedside job to a research based course, where new innovation and protocols can be instituted empirically. That's the reason for the BSC.

However, it would be wrong for a Medical officer with a PHD in anatomy to be seeking for more pay in the hospital, because it doesn't add anything to patient care. He can also decide to lecture anatomy part-time or go into Anatomic based research. Also, a BSC nurse who went further to have a PHD in Nursing Education has not business asking for more pay or role in the hospital, it doesn't add anything to patient care, though she can go into research and propound theories. Now dragging for equal pay with a physician, with a non clinically inclined masters or phd is the ridiculous aspect. That's what is happening in Nigeria, and that's what I am against.
Alright, I understand better now. Thanks

No difference in Job description. Why should diploma be scrapped in Nigeria, when it still obtains abroad?
Oh, I never knew they had diploma nurse abroad, but since there in no difference in job description, may be BSC is not really necessary then.

Whether the woman is married or not, adultery should be avoided at all cost, it is very dangerous for both parties. Even innocent children can suffer from the curse of their parents adultery.
HealthRe: , by Icecreamy: 2:42pm On Jul 27, 2018
I think it's time to start phasing out diploma nurses since we now have a lot of BSC nurses. It is necessary for you guys to earn your respect. The diploma nurses are more like technicians, they should go back to the university and upgrade to BSC.

By the way is there any difference in job description of diploma nurses and BSC nurse, if yes, some one should educate me please. Thanks
CrimeRe: Katsina Grandmother Throws Grandchild Into Well To Teach Daughter In-law Lesson by Icecreamy: 11:56am On Jul 27, 2018
stane007:
A 55-year-old woman from Katsina State, Aisha Ibrahim, who killed her grandchild by throwing her into a well, has been arrested by the Niger State

“I told my husband to tell his son to divorce his wife but he did not listen to me. My daughter-in-law is fond of insulting and assaulting me all the time and the only way I could pay her back was to tie her daughter with the rope and throw her inside a well to die so that she will equally feel the pains and agony I have been going through.

“We have been living in peace as one big family before my son married her; I have 12 children and all of us are living in one compound; she cannot come from somewhere to destroy the family I have suffered for years to keep, it is unacceptable,” she explained.
