Speed is a scalar, torque and HP are vectors. You can't interchange the use in any logical statement. Torque is rotational momentum and speed is distance per time. Assuming in a vacuum two objects of different mass (weight) are at the same momentum¹, the smaller object would be faster. If you apply that logic in a car, you find out heavier objects are slower if same momentum ( which is torque) so faster means more HP or torque and less weight. I don't want to go into more mechanics so others can follow.

¹Momentum is mass x velocity (speed)
M1 V1 = M2 V2
M= mass
v= velocity ( speed)


More HP does not mean faster if it did diesel engines would be the standard for racing.

My point is
1. Speed is not measured in HP
2. More HP doesn't mean faster.
3. HP to weigh ratio determines speed.(with all other factors being equal)

Oga Renault doesn't own Nissan. It is an alliance and it controls Renault, Nissan, Infiniti, Renault Samsung Motors, Dacia, Datsun, Venucia and Lada.

When I had leaks in mine, green dye was pumped in the system(used to detect freon leaks) and the leaking point was easily mapped and fixed.

A 1996 BMW 328i has 190hp. A 2007 Toyota Camry V6 SE has 268 hp that's a 78 hp difference. There is no contesting that. Also, the Camry is not in the same class as the BMW 3 series (which is classified as an entry level luxury sedan). The sedan is in the midsize family sedan class. Do your research before talking nonsense.

How can a car be slower by Horse power? Slower means less speed, MPH or KMPH. So why are you saying HP?

Okay. I am getting an EV or hybrid next. You save at the pump but it cost like $5K more for the car and for a certified used one the difference is less. And the modern hybrid battery is estimated to last 10 years compared to 5 years in earlier versions 10 years ago.

It's gonna be a daily commute vehicle and I'll have a big block too.

Piyke: Okay I'm trying to buy the original honda OEM coolant, but haven't come across it yet (Base:Owerri). I plan to do a radiator flush and refill with the original stuff. I know those that stock the OEM Toyota/Nissan ones in Enugu, but sadly the same guy doesn't have that for Honda.

Does anyone have the link for any person that sells this? I'll do the job DIY .

You don't have to use the exact honda coolant, just get a reliable brand that is the same color as the OEM coolant in the radiator.

People do get confused on how drag is more when the windows are down. You need to have a creative mind to understand my explanation.

The air rushing into your car thorough the windows is pilling your car back Its like a Drogue parachute(chute used to stop jet fighters). That pull is causing the drag on your car. At the bottom of your back windshield there is a tinny gap the helps relive the pressure build up, but is not good enough.

Facts you need to know

Driving at 60MPH head on at a wind of 10MPH would give you a drag Equivalent of 70MPH ie what you would experience driving at 70MPH on a no wind day. (60-(-10)=70. Read Newtons laws of motion.

Wind tunnels are created taking the laws above to model air resistance. They don't have to drive at 150MPH to figure out what would happen. They just force air at 150MPH.

The faster you go with your windows down the more unstable your car is. The turbulent flow would fishtail at very high speeds. You know air resistance at high speeds make planes fly.

If you are really trying to save gas with no ac, you best bet is to buy a convertible.

so the functions of compression (and expansion) require power (drawn from the engine).
then the drag, from this perspective, which is resistance to motion by virtue of the movement of air across the vehicle (with its windows down), is another limiting factor.
so given these two circumstances, i am to a limit uncertain as to what the actual answer is to the Op's question.

Ra=Ka.A.{V.V}
Ka= coeff of drag
A = frontal area of the vehicle
V = speed of the vehicle
