I guess you don't believe that at all since you think understanding belongs instead to those who are of your religion. Guy wetin you dey write self? Christianity Etc › Re: Justification By Faith Vs Works! by ichuka(op): 8:44am On Apr 23, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: How can faith amount to the doing of honest work when you are told in Isaiah 64 vs 1 - 6 that your sins taint every one of your honest works rendering them all filthy and hence an unholy abomination to God? Faith has instead to be something else that you do in response to paying back that which you owe— your sin debt— and since sin is merely disobedience of God's commandments. It makes sense to believe that faith is that which offsets that debt aka obedience to God's literal teachings and commandments. What one believes works for him |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Does Luke 15 Use Three Parables? Is Not One Adequate? by ichuka(op): 8:09pm On Apr 21, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: A parable is a statement or comment that conveys a meaning indirectly by the use of comparison, analogy, or the like. Parables typically lose their meanings when one attempts to interpret the content used in conveying the message. I read through much of your doctrinal thesis, and all I kept wondering as I did was wonder why you engage in the unnecessary when the message is made clear right in the parables. Why convolute the utterly simple things... for what purpose?
Jesus Christ told those parables in order to provide a rebuttal to the Pharisees and teachers of the Law pointed out at the beginning of the chapter.
These Pharisees and teachers of the Law were men who claimed to be knowledgable of the Law yet they looked down on the sinners in the land, thinking them worthless beings, and hence of no value to God and His Plan. This isn't the first time that Jesus Christ is recorded to have used parables to provide rebuttals to the claims made against Him by the same crew. And in almost all cases, the message of the parable is found within the story itself.
PARABLE #1 - The Kingdom of God aka God's special Nation of Priests - Exodus 19 vs 6 - welcomes the sinners of Israel who decides to change from following his sinful ways PARABLE #2 - The angels of God welcome a sinner of Israel who decides to change from following his old sinful ways PARABLE #3 - A sinner of Israel who decides to change from following his sinful ways is like a son who was once lost but is now found, once dead but is now alive. PARABLE #4 - A sinner of Israel who decides to change from following his sinful ways is like a brother who was once lost but is now found, once dead but is now alive.
By way of these 4 parables, Jesus Christ provided, for the Pharisees and teachers of the law, 4 simple reasons why He came to call to Himself the sinners of Israel and not the righteous brothers/sons of Israel. Dude, I have heard u |

pressplay411: It would seem Paul and James and in fact Scripture contradicts itself in this 2 books. But I assure you they don't.
I also struggled with reconciling this too. I even backlidded before I came to understand it.
I pray the Holy Spirit unveils and gives us understanding in Jesus name.
The point Paul was making is simple, our justification is by Faith alone apart from our works.
We are already justified by our Faith.
But this is where James was addressing and which further study of the Epistles of Paul including the same Romans also corroborates- Now that we are justified by Faith alone, what next? What is the evidence of our justification by Faith?
It is the works that confirms/justifies that our Faith is true and genuine.
An illustration would be Abraham believed God (had Faith in God) and it was imputed to him as righteousness. He was justified by his faith alone without any works. God simply promised him and he believed. He did not have to offer any sacrifice to justify his Faith then.
But later when God had given him Isaac the Promise, God commanded him to sacrifice Isaac and He obeyed. His Obedience to genuinely agree to sacrifice His Promised Child here being the work that justified his Faith.
In conclusion, You can have Faith absent Works. But it is the Works that confirms the genuineness of your Faith.
Which is why James continued by illustrating that even Demons have Faith. They believe God and know how powerful God is. But clearly works of demons are not works of righteousness.
So what type of Faith do you have? It is made evident and revealed by the Works it produces. And as James submitted, Faith alone, without works, is truly dead. This is why Jesus Christ cursed the Fig Tree. But that's another discussion.
Grace, Faith and Love multiplied to us all in Jesus name. Amen. Nice one |
Christianity Etc › Re: Justification By Faith Vs Works! by ichuka(op): 10:37am On Apr 08, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: 1. In Genesis 26 vs 5, the Almighty Himself revealed that He justified Abraham by the works Abraham did in obedience to Him. (Abraham lived his life in submission and obedience to God's laws and statutes.) Jesus Christ equally called on His followers to live their lives in continuous submission and obedience to His teachings and commandments, declaring those the traits of those who love Him and will be equally loved by His Father - John 14 vs 15 - 20 & John 15 vs 9 - 11. Jesus Christ then revealed that only those who do works of righteousness — would be rewarded with Heaven after He returns and judges the sheep and goats in His Kingdom - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 40. So, clearly, as Jesus Christ proclaimed, it is only those who stand faithful until the end — who live their lives in continuous submission and obedience to God's Law and Truth — will be saved - Matthew 10 vs 22 & Matthew 24 vs 12 -13 & Mark 13 vs 13. The Faith expected of us by God is the Kind that involves the doing of works(obedience) in addition to fully trusting in Him. Any kind of faith that does not include works(obedience) is dead on arrival. Dude please read Romans4 from verse 1-4 |

Kobojunkie: UPDATE: Following the conversation that Jesus Christ had with the thief on the cross, it turns out paradise literally means the grave, and yes, the dead aren't conscious or asleep— it is written in scripture and Jesus Christ Himself confirmed this in the case of Lazarus, His friend — and so the content of Luke 16 is confirmed a parable by that. Abraham's bosom is a euphemism for the grave.
The promise that Jesus Christ made to the thief on the cross is that he, the thief, would be with Him, Jesus Christ, in paradise that same day. And we confirm from what is written Jesus Christ was in the grave that very same day and remained there for 3 days afterward. Invariably, Jesus Christ's promise to the thief was that he, the thief, would die that same day as opposed to hanging alive on the cross for many days after, which was a common occurrence for many of the victims of crucifixion back then. LoL so paradise is liken to grave right? |

Kobojunkie: 1. Grace is a reference to Eternal life which one receives when one is born-again and this after that which Jesus Christ stipulates in John 3 vs 1 -21. Faith applies as far as the work that is done by carrying out what is stipulated by Jesus Christ.
2. Grace is sourced through faith — trust, and obedience to God's command. Faith is not sourced through grace — eternal life which only comes by way of obedience .i.e. faith. Dude you don't know what Faith is |

Kobojunkie: 1. God said the Words which He has spoken, the very Words out of God's own mouth—not your bible— is spirit. So, again, your bible is not Spirit, and your bible is not born of Spirit. Your bible is instead a compendium of the thoughts of various men— some of them evil —, Satan, and his demons, and the Word of God. There is nothing "spirit" about the book itself. It is the Words out of God's mouth that are instead spirit .i.e. Spirit of Truth since God's Word is Truth. So, why do you keep wanting to add to that which is in fact written? Why?
2. These claims are not written in scripture at all. Think about the claims you make carefully in order you stretch your mind for yourself. If only those who are regenerated are able to understand God's Word, according to you, then why did God bother to call to Himself unregenerated sinners when He could have sent Jesus Christ to instead call the already righteous, those who were at least more knowledgable in the ways of God to Himself?
3. By regenerated, my guess is that you mean one who is born-again, right? Another problem with these claims you continue to make is this. Jesus Christ said that in order to gain an understanding of the Kingdom of God, one would first need to use the understanding that he already has- Matthew 25 vs 29 & Matthew 13 vs 10 - 13 & Mark 4 vs 22 - 25. What that means is that the non-born-again has first to use the unregenerated understanding he has in order to be given more understanding by Jesus Christ about the Kingdom of God in order to lead Him to become born-again aka regenerated. So, when an unregenerated soul approaches to learn of the Kingdom of God from Jesus Christ, he or she must use the unregenerated knowledge previously available to him regarding the kingdom of God before He can receive more from the Father.
See how quickly your conclusions regarding the Spirit and knowledge of God fall apart when put up against the Truth of God. Ok.heard you |
Christianity Etc › Re: Men Of Faith by ichuka(op): 12:15am On Mar 26, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: 1. I am sorry, what you just typed amounts to gibberish as nowhere in that book is it in fact written or declared that the book itself is spiritual. So, let's get that out of the way first, so we can focus on what is in fact stated.
I asked you, What do you mean by spiritual? Expand to reveal that you know what you are talking about. Also, you quoted from John 6 vs 63, kindly explain why you felt to include that verse considering the message is clear that Jesus Christ was referring there to the Spirit of Eternal Life — not the Spirit of Truth- John 14 vs 15 - 20 - mind you. So what place has the Spirit of Eternal Life in this here conversation? That which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). We should put John 4:24, 6:63, and 3:6 together: “God is Spirit,” “The words which I have spoken…are spirit,” and “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” The words in the Bible are spirit. The life which a man receives at the time of regeneration is spirit, and it takes a man with a spirit to read the words of spirit. Only then will the Bible shine within him, and only then will it become useful to him. No matter how clever and well educated a man is, as long as he is not regenerated, this bible is a mystery to him. A regenerated person may not be that cultivated, but he is more qualified to read the Bible than an unregenerated college professor. The former has a regenerated spirit, while the latter does not have such a spirit. The Bible is not understood by talent, research, or intelligence. Since God’s word is spirit, only a man with a regenerated spirit can understand it. The root, the very nature, of the Bible is spiritual. If a man does not have a regenerated spirit, he cannot understand this book; it will be a closed book to him. |

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Kobojunkie: 1. The Church of Jesus Christ, the Vine — John 15 vs 1 - 11—, is in no way associated with the churches of this world which have their very foundation instead in the religion called Christianity, a religion that is structured from its' very beginnings on the doctrines and traditions of men, which Jesus Christ warned His disciples not to associate themselves in any way or form with - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 & Mark 7 vs 1 - 13.
2. Membership in the Vine that is Jesus Christ(the one and only Head in the Kingdom of God), — for a branch— only requires that one abide — exist in continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, God's Truth and Law — in Jesus Christ, the one who is the National Constitution in God's special Nation of Priests - Exodus 19 vs 6 - aka the Kingdom of God. There is no other body one is to belong to. What's the church? |
