AIG07: I am not surprised. This is what is expected when Square pegs are inserted in round holes.
I like that your meme.
That was the exact state I was, when our female U-20 coach Danjuma was trying to teach Nnadozie(Gk) how to take Goal Kick.
HHe was shouting at the top of his voice. "Bend small before you shoot." I just use my hand cover my face...
So much unprofessionalism in the way we handle things here.
Dalung and his cohort wan carry Giwa (a person serving 5 years FIFA ban) go do meeting with FIFA like se na political meeting de wan do...
I can't imagine how they'll go about it. Maybe something like this...
*Dalung Arriving FIFA sectariat*
Dalung(knocks) Security personnel: Hi, Dalung: Hey, come here. SP: How may we help you? Dalung: Don't you know me? I am the minister of sports of the largest black nation in the world - Nigeria. A sovereign nation! SP: Okay. DalunG: We want to see the FIFA'S PRESIDENT. Giwa: (whispering to Dalung) let's enter joor. DA lung signals to Giwa to be calm. GGiwa: rushes forward, pushes both the SP and Dalung aside making way for the door.... He does so shouting WE WANT JUSTICE! AMAJU OUT!!!...
tbaba1234: Athletico Madrid second team that was on vacation. Athletico scored whenever they raised their level a bit. Do not read too much into that game. Nwakali, the stand out player is now playing for Porto B in the second division of Portugal and in two games, he has not shown anything.
I just dey look two of them. Especially him wey say him follow African football pass everybody.
According to Colin Udoh, the federal government have written to FIFA agreeing to their demands. So Giwa is gone.
"Nigeria’s Federal Government wrote to FIFA on Saturday agreeing, amongst other things, to allow football to be run on FIFA Statutes and to expedite passage of NFF Bill. Giwa? Toast"
TheSuperNerd: Joined via free transfer from Gil Vicente but already the toast of the fans. Been following the lad since I spotted his move to Zaragoza. He is just one of many I keep following and trying to keep close tabs on.
Even a young Nigerian forward named Taofiq Jibril debuted in the Portuguese top flight for Portimonense and he only joined them this summer from Vila Real also in Portugal.
Dem boku no be small. Even Adeleke made his debut for IK Start. I hope he convinces and leave that league abeg to a better one within the top 6 of Europe.
A certain Simon Ayo Okosun is also on my radar (I am certain you have also heard of him). Joined Midtjylland just this season but already a mainstay in their lineups. He is versatile as he plays CM, RW and recently started as A CF in their last game. Dude isso mightily tall (stands at 1.97m) and is Danish by nationality but still available for Nigeria. Sadly, his time won't come now as We have plethora of quality options in better leagues too. But his time may yet come... He is still just 25. But shaa... Time will tell.
Been (and still) keeping tabs on so many more like these... Prospects, uncapped or capped.. talented FBs.. and more... Just still occupied to come share them but I trust You and Chriskels are doing just enough. Alongside Charlesemeka85 too.
Honestly, this was a wonderful weekend for Nigerian Football. So happy seeing our Super Eagles players doing their thing and showing their stuff all around Europe especially within the Big 6 leagues. I can't wait to see Rohr's first post-Russia Team list for the Seychelles game. Something good is coming for our Super Eagles... The Dawn is close.
Hopefully, no ban news spoils this.
Good insight.
But let me pick on something. You said the dawn is close? Hahaha, I thought it has dawned already since like over 2 years ago? Why the postponement again? You don't trust the last dawn again?
Any one with any help or antidote to curb over excitement..
wanna learn to move in silence especially when something big comes my way.. But i always feel it's a big load Burgin me until I spill it out to few of my folks..
Since nairaland lacks psychotherapists section like reddit and Co.. (tried navigating through reddit many times but always gets lost). I feel like this is the best section out of many threads and sections I follow to spill out one of my darkest flaws.. {thank God it's a faceless forum).
So anyone with any advice to offer?
There is nothing abnormal in this.
You achieve success and you always feel like blowing it open right?
You always feel like sharing the good News.
But may I ask if you are married? If you are married and still blow the News of your personal success well I will say that is where there is an issue.
But if you are not married then that is normal. Solution to this may be to get married so you can get a confidant.
Over all, solution to this is seeing a bigger picture about your successes. Ie knowing your final destination and believing that each success you achieve is just a small step or milestone towards achieving the bigger picture. Trivialise each milestone you achieve yet be thankful to God. Then push towards achieving the next milestone.
My brother when the time comes you don't even need to blow open your success story by yourself, everyone will see it.
godspeed: How is football being run in communist countries like China and North Korea without government interference ?
Hahaha, this one hard o. But just like in the case of most African countries where government is responsible for most part of the funding and FIFA allows it, I think same goes for the communist nations.
BascoVanVeli: That is government interference in the purest form. That is not how FIFA is ran any Nigerian citizen of upstanding character should be allowed to run for the post. They are closing the door on our ex internationals with this.
That is not how FIFA is run but that is how most FA's of African countries are run. They depend mostly on government funding.
