safarigirl: methinks the battle is between Simy and Joel.
One of them will make way for the other
We are either taking 8-5-7 or 8-6-6 Could also be 7-6-7 |

Martz101: if you know this team well you will know the 22 sure player, 1 spot is up for grab. adding a midfielder(joel) or a striker(simmy). Joel will likely make it Russia. Once Agu and Agbo have been dropped I don't see Rohr dropping another midfielder. Simy is up against a defender. |

realpoacher: Brother mi, the answer to your question is not farfetched,.. He wails on it too much thats why... In the case of Every other person here with their favorite player not called up will simply express their reservation or displeasure just once or twice and call it a day. Some few will even sulk on it for days in their privates but after a while, they will shake it off and come back here to start supporting the team wholly.
But NO!..... Forgiveness will keep on wailing till eternity... Wait for it!!... He doesn't just wail alone, he insults everybody else here, he accuse NFF and Rohr of corruption, he berates and insults every other players invited. He takes it personal, it becomes a fight to finish.
All these things he keeps doing over and over again, he doesn't stop... No!.. He doesn't know when to stop!..
Discuss team release,.. No!.. He is wailing.
Discuss formations and strategies about our upcoming match... No!.. He is busy wailing digging up stats left, right, center,... SMH
After match which we probably won... Drop your match analysis and rate every player on how they perform... NO!!... Forgiveness is still busy wailing
Its preposterous!!,! His constant wailings and labelings is insulting to our intelligence and sanity. He is not the only one here. This thread is not created for people to come and wail here, let him go somewhere else and wail.
When he wails, he labels everyone a tribalist, or a corrupt man if you supports the non invite of his players.
If there is anyone you should caution.. Then the person is sir forgiveness.. Tell him to stop his constant wailings... Underline the word CONSTANT.
He is entitled to express his feelings but when it becomes excessive (like it always does), its no longer an expression rather it becomes wailings. Which means that he is overstepping his boundaries. Such should never be condoned.
I suppose that you are a lawyer. If true, then you should know that we all have rights but so also should we know our limits to such rights when interacting with other people.
His constant wailings is an intrusion into our rights. Therefore he should tone it down else he deserves everything coming his way.
Remember, if there is anyone you must advice, it should be him. He can express his reservations but he shouldn't wail nor insult us because its becoming very childish of him lately.
Thank you Lol! @ Constant Wailing. |

The only Nigerian player that played last weekend was Victor Moses |

Kog45: Thank you,do we need to argue it that Kayode is better than Lokosa even he is better than Simy but we need to respect Rohr decision who is in charge and know what he want in the team. Kayode is obviously better than Lokosa and maybe better than Simi in certain aspects and vice versa . But the fact remains that Lokosa merited his call-up as the NPFL highest goal scorer. And Rohr needed to patronize the local league just to boost the Morales of the NPFL players. As for between Simi and Kayode, I would not want to use statistics to compare them because they play in different leagues with different levels of competiveness. Firstly, Rohr has interest in tall CF which is why he has shown interest in Osimhen. Simi is a typical lone striker. He brings in something that the other CFs do not really have( only Ighalo shows it when he is in form). We have so many Kayode-like players in the team. Iheanacho, Musa and even Onyekuru play similar ways as Kayode although to different degrees. Plus height is a disadvantage for Kayode. I don't really clamor for players much but I don't have much confidence in Ighalo. Let's see what Simi can offer. |

Martz101: Thank you very much, your last paragraph is key, lokosa should start Congo match I would rather have Simi Nwankwo start. He looks more like a player that can add value. We really need to assess him closely. We should give him more time and maybe Lokosa can come in later in the game. |

Lucque: firstly I'd like all of us to step back and take a chill pill. All this constant back and forth banter is not helping d thread... It's dividing it. Secondly I'd like to start from those ppl accusing forgiveness of tribalism... Please let's stop it. He has d right to cry, wail, or say whatever he wants, d best we can do is ignore the posts that he makes to avoid any rancor... Den to those supporting forgiveness, pls let's do so without taking sides. Forgiveness myt be d victim here but he is not without fault especially on this matter.. Then to chief egbon forgiveness... Pls sir na only a selfish ND stupid woman go wan win argument at all cost to the point say she no mind weda her marriage scatter.. ...in ur quest to defend kayode's honor ND ryt u have called rohr's list corrupt, u have turned forumites against one anoda, u have directly or indirectly run down some players ND d team with small small swipes.... Please the reward or satisfaction u are seeking is not worth the unity of d thread.... Kayode is a good player ND he has done well I admit and am sure u only want things to be fair, but we know that life is not fair to all, kelechi is lucky because he is an integral part of nigeria's squad cos he has proven overtime dat immediately he wears d nigerian jersey his club performance doesn't relate... Hence his goal returns for Nigeria.... Kayode has been good but I feel that luck has not rili been on his side as it is obvious that he is not the kind of player rohr fancies... Now u must realise that the coach must not invite players that u like but the ones he believes can add something using his style of play... So like everyone has said at some point... Let it go ND support the team please and please...lets all stop dis unnecessary fights... Please... My work is d very stressful type and dis is wer i come to take my mind off of things, but lately d fyt here come pass d wahala for work... Please u guys and babes are like my second online family, let's not fyt. ..and lastly M getting married in exactly 2weeks time m inviting all day can make it... It's happening in warri I greet d house The good Lord bless you my brother for this post and congrats on your wedding Please can you post your wedding IV here? or through any other means. I would like to attend as I will be in Warri that same weekend. |

tbaba1234: Gernot Rohr on the call for Nwakali:
“You cannot say that we should take some players after the holiday match against Atletico. They came with a second team and the plan was to see them for the future. I have no regrets with my selection.
“My real regret is that people talk about players not on the list than those on the list. This is not fair as we have many interesting players on that team as well”, Tell me why I should not love and respect this man. When some people here even stated that the Team B are better than Team A. Some people here have mentioned Kayode and Nwakali, 2 players not on the list, more than any player on the list. Respect Baba Rohr |

you said something sometime...ago...that the heir apparent to Mikel's role in the midfield... is nwakali.... now it is becoming real....I pray he keeps growing. No wahala. I know we get carried away sometimes by emotions. The Athletico Madrid game has really exposed how Kelechi Nwakali has progressed. We hope to see him join the national team post Russia. This is one of the good fruits of the LMC and NFF initiatives to gather some of these players. Something TheGoodJoe and I have clamored for. And with that now we really know those that are ready to join the national team ranks. I please emplore the NFF to organize more of such games and extend invitations to more young players. We need a standing pool of uncapped U23 players whether there is Olympics or not. We keep organizing friendlies for them and then pick those that have been identified to have the quality to move to the next level which is the Super Eagles. |

ChrisKels: Dats true.
Av u noticed this trend; prior to any match against the whites, they always go like this; "d Africans are strong and physical (rough /rugged), hence asking for d ref's protection"
Our players yield to Dat and become so soft while the whites start playing like gladiators, and d refrees towill turn a blind eye to their rough games. It pains me a lot Hmm..... It is well bro. Like Cameroon typically end up with 9 players. |

5 players to be dropped before they travel
My guess
Lokosa Eze Ajiboye Agbo Agu/Etebo Etebo is going to Russia. Except if he is injured. Simi will battle for a place ironically with a defender. |

Humility017: i am concerned with his passing skills.... which ogu and co currently lack... him going to the world cup does not mean he will command a full debut....at least he can replace mikel sometimes in the second half...
that guy makes it look as if...mikel is in the field playing.... that the kind of player we need come in for mikel... in Russia. I personally I am not too pleased with the presence of many DM and Cm in the team...moreover taking him to Russia will help in his development and the super eagles in the long run... it will make a big statement to arsenal and wherever he goes on loan that he is an AM and the drive tp convert him to a CM,DM,Winger etc will be curtailed...had it been keshi did same towards nancho...city won't have easily convert him to a striker....
we are currently short of AM in the super eagles....so why don't we build an encourage him to grow into that role...for now and the future sake. Oga, do you understand FIFA rules concerning submission of provisional list and players selection at all? |
