Oasis007: Yes he's not but he's still needed for the Mundial for tactical Reason. Aside from Balogun and Ekong, Eze stands out based on height, ruggedness and Stamina.
Agbo has got multiple Invitations, yet he has never played even for just a Minute for the Team, thus it won't be bad to drop him for Eze.
I trust Eze's rawness is being refined perhaps separately during training Seasons, and I'm having the feeling he gonna make the 25-Man List. What are you going to the WC with 5 CBs for? |

Why? People in the kitchen making breakfast typically start off those fires.
I have experienced one before. Not a good situation to find one's self. |

OMANBALA1: Ighalo can play from the wing but that will eliminate the only top 9 we have....Rohr should have considered a 35 man list. Simon being out due to injury has boosted Simy's chances. As you rightly said Ighalo can play from the wings in which case simy can top strike. But Ighalo may only play on the wings if any two Of Moses, Iwobi and Musa are not on the pitch.Which is not very likely. |

krattoss: E Don be for Simon Moses
JUST IN: Moses ruled out of World Cup
Only 29 players are left in the race to represent Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia.
Moses Simon, one of the players in the 30-man shortlist, has been ruled out the World Cup.
Simon who plays for Belgian Jupiler League side, Gent, will not be making the trip to London for the friendly against England, let alone the World Cup in Russia.
Rohr confirned to PREMIUM TIMES in Port Harcourt that Simon’s World Cup dreams is over
“It is unfortunate Moses Simon will not be travelling with the team on Tuesday because he is down with an injury,” Rohr said on Sunday
“The nature of his injury is such that he won’t be recovering quickly enough to make the World Cup,” he added.
The German tacticician is expected to drop four more players after Monday’s friendly game against DR Congo.

The truth about players selection for the WC is that it has become a norm for 1,2 or 3 players to be dropped due to injuries. So some of the players we think should be among the 7 to be dropped may actually make it, due to the likelihood of 1 or 2 of the supposed 23 failing a late fitness test.
Fingers crossed. |

TheGoodJoe: At the bolded, it is not whether a keeper is a rookie or experienced. The point is, who is better. A rookie Donaruma, in his first game for Milan is a better choice than the current Akpeyi.

AIG07: I'm so much disappointed as you are. I supported Liverpool through out the match.
It is a bitter and very sad moment seeing your best player been injured intentionally. But you need to look at the larger picture. Teams do a lot of things that might not be fair to the opponent to edge their opponents. This is not the first time it will happen and it won't be the last. Italy took out Henry and Zidane in 2006 before they could win the WORLD CUP. France took out Onazi so as to get edge over us. Neymar, and so on.
We have seen so many cases where players are brought on to draw foul off their opponents, diving etc. These things might be wrong but they are part of the BIGGER PLAN Italy also took out Amuneke and Amokachi to beat Nigeria. Nigeria also did that once. With Nigeria being one man down Bright Omakaro took out an Algerian player, after they had made all their substitutions, just to make the number of players on the pitch 10-10. Nigeria went ahead to win it via penalties. |

tbaba1234: The portharcourt pitch is in bad shape.. Why did they not play in Uyo?
This is a picture taken yesterday. Did the NFF carry out an inspection visit to this venue before they agreed to have the game there? This kind of pitch can even cause injuries. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 5:56am On May 27, 2018 |
TheGoodJoe: I can bet about 80% of people do not want Akpeyi in goal for us despite all his experience. Emma Daniel was a better option to Akpeyi despite Akpeyi's experience. Ederson is a better choice to Claudio Bravo despite Bravo's experience and multiple titles. Joe Hart despite his limited experience was a preferred choice to Shay Given despite all the experience of Shay Given.
Experience is not a guarantee. Definitely experience is never a guarantee. Just like talent alone is never a guarantee but it is always better when you have a goalkeeper you have seen perform over and over and you can trust he is relatively reliable. You cannot go and pick a rookie and put in goal and be comfortable and say experience doesn't matter. And the truth is the goalkeeping department is where experience matters most And also note that for the WC Akpeyi does not fall into the category of experienced goalies. But abeg answer Petrobros' question, can you hire an inexperienced driver for yourself or for your company? |

Jarus: I was in Dubai 2 months ago, every shop I went to, Salah's jersey was sold out.
It is in Nigeria that Mikel's Chelsea will be playing Man U and you will see Nigerians supporting Man U o. Don't try that with Egyptians in Egypt.
Egyptians in particular are so passionate about football - especially the nayionalistic side of it. With all the Egyptians I have met in my life, football was part of our discussions. That is it o Jarus. The only Egyptian I have ever had one on one conversation with we discussed football for almost 90% of the period. One thing I know for sure is they don't like losing to Algeria. |

Jarus: My Nigerian friend in Egypt tonight said before the game he cannot support Madrid in the open!
Egyptians no dey joke with football. People that put Salah's name on presidential election ballot themselves. The passion with which the Arab world as a whole follow football is unimaginable. They see it as war. |

safarigirl: even village people in Egypt can never work against Salah. I am sure they must be working overtime to ensure Salah is healed in time.
Salah is like a god in Egypt and the Arab world as a whole. Dem go use their remaining fasting days to pray for Salah. Arabs are just like the Fulanis. They don't forgive. Should Mohammed Salah miss this WC Sergio Ramos and Spain as a whole should better watch it. Football is more than a game in Egypt. Salah is like a God to the Egyptians. They have toiled for 28 years without going to the WC. Mohammed Salah helped them qualify. But one wicket Sergio Ramos dislocated his shoulder blade. And if Salah misses the WC..... truly it can soil diplomatic relationship between Egypt And Spain. I won't be surprised to wake up tomorrow morning to hear that the Spanish embassy in Cairo has been burnt down. |
