tbaba1234: I did not 'change' my opinion. I have always held that opinion. My grouse with Chisom move is that we should be expecting better moves for the player of the year, not a loan move to Sweden. He still has not played since he got to Sweden. As Goldfish80 rightly said 'a star is a star'. If really he is as good as he is being rated then in no distant time he should make another move. |

tbaba1234: Hungary is Central Europe and i do not even know anything about their league.
It depends on the country. In Eastern Europe, Russia and Ukraine have better leagues than most of Scandinavia but it might be easier to get to one of the bigger leagues from Sweden or Norway. Hungary politically are part of Central Europe. You are right about that no doubt but Socially ,Economically, football wise and even in terms of Soviet occupation they typically or more conveniently are classified with Eastern Europe. I hope you are also aware that countries like Croatia, Slovenia, Czech, Serbia, Slovakia and Poland are also part of Central Europe. But they are more commonly seen as Eastern Europeans. Infact a Hungarian typically do not like being called an Eastern European. But you are right. Hungary is part of Central Europe. IMO I don't really see much difference in terms of competitiveness between leagues in that 'bloc' (also known as the eastern bloc due to communism) and those in Scandinavia. |

Obinna Nwobodo has joined a side in Hungary.
Hungary ? Seriously, that is just depressing. Where is the progress from there?
Joseph1013, Icon4s, TheSuperNerd Hmm.. But do you consider playing in any of the Scandinavian leagues better than playing in Eastern Europe? Which do you consider more competitive? |

Icon79: At the moment, yes, he probably won't start for Everton. But remember that Lukaku and Ross Barkley are leaving. They have refused to sign new contracts. Hence, I can see Henry playing Barkley's position.
One reason why I would like him to play for Everton is that Ronald Koeman is a pretty good coach. He always make his team (players) better.
O pari Hmm good info. |

Icon79: Oh, I see. It probably not gonna happen. I think Arsenal would be going for a more established stars this time. Arsene Wenger knows that next season is gonna be his final year, if he doesn't win something.
And personally, I would prefer Henry to go to Everton. But something tells me that West Ham might just end up being the lucky team.
O pari Same here. I even prefer West Ham for him. There he will have a better opportunity for game time. Everton's starting 11 is not that easy to break into. Look at Lookman for instance. Who do you think is even better between Lookman and Onyekuru? |

BascoVanVeli: It could mean even less playing time. Iwobi has mainly played on the left wing and he has been finding it hard to get gametime behind Sanchez. Adding Henry who is also played on the left wing would make things complicated for Iwobi. If Wenger also keeps the 3-4-3 the 10 position would almost be out the window. ...WOULD make things complicated for Iwobi? please change that WOULD to MAY. Henry going to Arsenal may also mean less game time for him too. |

Clementoke: We hear of Onyekuru's name because he is a Nigerian. There are other top performers (from other countries) in the Belgian league too. Making the team of the season is a decent achievement for a 19 year old. Even gifted students misses out of the top prizes at times. You just nailed it. |

BascoVanVeli: But where does Henry's signing leave Iwobi? This is why Iwobi is a highly valued player. You hardly have his kind of his age. How? I see Onyekuru in the like of Oxlade Chamberlain and Theo Walcott. The way Iwobi plays as a winger is very much different from how Onyekuru plays. So I believe Wenger,, depending on what style of play or formation he wants to adopt in a match or in the course of a match will know when or how to introduce Onyekuru and or Iwobi. I don't see Onyekuru's signing as a threat to Iwobi. Besides Iwobi also plays behind a striker as a Number 10. |

Danycrusoe: definitely baba. I think the goalkeeper they used today is even worse compared to the one they used in the first match. those guys av some little potentials but we all know they are there to make up the numbers. Venezuela are the surprise packages and they v impressed, first team to qualify for the knock out stage. they actually had a year and half prep for the tourney
what do u think of Vietnam's performance against New Zealand yesterday, they totally outplayed the whites.
what about Germany, they are not looking impressive but I see then beating Vanuatu by 5 goals Germany drew 0:0 with Mexico today. They will almost definitely beat Vanuatu. In this kind of competition where four 3rd best teams qualify for second round 4pts are usually enough. Germany and Mexico will make it to the next round. Talking about the Vanuatu goalie. I didn't watch their today's game but if today's goalie can be worse than the one that kept against Mexico, then..... I am speechless. It was that goalie I saw against Mexico that made me feel they will still lose by 6-8 goals in the group. Germany will also hammer them. Talking about Vietnam. I am not too surprised. Firstly because they are beginning to take football seriously of late. U have heard about a couple of our NPFL players traveling to go and play professional football in Vietnam. That makes their league at least more competitive. Secondly qualifying from Asia means they are no easy push overs. Mind you Australia and North Korea did not make it. Thirdly New Zealand. We know about how non-competitive the Oceanian federation is. A major reason why Australia pulled out. |

safarigirl: I never said it was because of my gender, as a matter of fact it's not just me. The same has been done to thegoodjoe here as well.
It is petty and highly immature to throw jabs at people or make hostile comments because of an argument that was laid to rest. Whatever happened to letting bygones be bygones?
I have never attacked someone else here after an old argument, the fact that it is men, who I used to think have short teem memories as far as disagreements go, that are pulling such b!tch moves is disappointing.
If certain people do not want to be quoted anymore by certain people, say so, let me know I am to stay off your posts. But you don't get to be petty and act hostile because of an old case.
The fact that basco is doing that is even surprising to me, I used to think he wasn't like that. I can also be petty if we all want to start acting like teenage girls My sister........ take it easy. Don't take anything that happens here to serious. We all have received jabs at one time or the other. I was looking at it from a gender perspective bc you have made a similar complain like this in the past and even pointed out 'is it bc you are a woman?'. So pardon me if I thought in that line But sincerely, don't let what we discuss here get at you. |
