He spent most of his career in the lower divisions of spain and have been released now. He is a free agent. OK I see. I guess what caught up with his U17 team mates also caught up with him. |

Joebie: Need I bold "players showing lots of promise"?
And if you read carefully you will know that i'm implying for the purpose of camping not necessarily changing our starting 11.. Read my post again, slowly and carefully lol Just for camping? Please we need players that will contribute to our WC and AFCON qualifications either on the pitch or from the bench. It is not as if we do not have a team in place. We have a team already and any player that is coming in now must add value. The coaching crew is doing what it can to secure the ones that are AVAILABLE and WILLING to represent Nigeria. And Rohr is not just inviting just to snatch them from England as you put it. He is inviting them based on necessity of using them to fix any position(s) we are lacking depth. That is the adding value I am talking about. For eg Aina and Ebuehi would definitely add depth and options to the defense. But what value will someone like Onyedinma add to the midfield? Remember we still have a lot of young AM/Wingers that have not even been considered. Eg Samuel Kalu, Henry Onyekuru, Obinnna Nwobodo(scored a brace today at away Gombe), Kelechi Nwakali. If Rohr needs any player whether foreign born or locally born he will invite. If the player is not part of his plans/program then no invitation. Not just because we want to snatch them from England. |

Joebie: I personally will give special consideration to players not born in Nigeria who are showing lots of promise for obvious reasons.. Let me state it here. Should they become a hot property and England wants them, it will be hard for Nigeria to win the war. It's easier to win them over when they had met the SE family. b How many can you invite at a time? Except we want to be parading different starting 11s for every game. |

komekn: To put it in context they are promising but yet to deliver, which may or may not happen.
When you consider Ryan Ssegnon is 16 years old played a full season in the championship as a left back and scored 5 goals. Every top team in the premiership has him on their shopping list. Price £20 million plus.
If you are good enough you will be given a chance. Just like Tega Abrahams now a top striker no longer just a top prospect. We are Nigeria. We are not France, Germany or Spain. Considering our level of football development, our leagues and administrative issues we are not at par with the world super powers. I am not saying the boys have delivered. Delivered what sef? WC or AFCON tickets? I have decided not to raise my hope too early on the team but what I do is as the team keeps progressing(of which they are) my expectations progress with them. If you've followed my comments all these years on this forum you'll know I am not the type that hype players any how. |

I particularly like the fact that we were down and certain substitutions were made and that added bite to the attack which led to the equalizer. |

TheSuperNerd: Bucs Goalkeeper's PSL Debut Looming
https://level3.soccerladuma.net/cms2/image_manager/uploads/News/262154/7/13/default.jpg
Orlando Pirates’ Nigerian goalkeeper, Emmanuel Daniel, is said to be impressing the technical team with his performances in training and high work-rate.
The young shot-stopper, who made the switch to Bucs from Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers, is seemingly making progress at the Soweto giants in the few weeks he has been with the club.
In the most recent game for Bucs, which was against Mamelodi Sundowns this past weekend, Daniel was included in the 18-man match day squad for Coach Kjell Jonevret and his technical team.
The 23-year-old sat on the substitutes bench for Pirates and deputised for Jackson Mabokgwane as Bucs went on to lose 2-0 against the Brazilians.
“It wasn’t very surprising to see him (Daniel) making an appearance on the Pirates bench because he has been working very hard in training since his arrival at the club. He is a very good goalkeeper. It won’t be long before the supporters get to see how good he is when he gets a chance to play,” a source told the Siya crew.
Recent media reports from Nigeria have suggested that Daniel could be set for a call-up to the Super Eagles squad. He has done well as the number one goalkeeper for the Nigeria U23 side during his time with them.

TheSuperNerd: Ex-Chelsea Star Mikel Makes Himself Available For AFCON Qualifier Against South Africa
https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/35822Mikel.png
Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel would have sufficiently recovered before Nigeria takes on South Africa in an African Cup of Nations qualifier, the Nigeria Football Federation have reiterated.
The Super Eagles skipper underwent surgery in England on April 29, which is expected to rule him out of action for a minimum of three weeks.
Mikel has been left out of the Super Eagles get-together in France, but the Nigerian Federation have revealed that he will be in the squad to face South Africa in a month's time in Uyo.
“The match is a month way and Mikel should be fit in time for the game,” NFF assistant technical director Lagunju was quoted as saying by scorenigeria.
“It’s important he’s part of the team because he is a driving force, a role model to many of the players. He’s leadership qualities are second to none.”
Both Mikel and Tianjin Teda have announced that the Nigeria star will begin his rehabilitation this week.

fortunarld: Photo: 35-year-old Nigerian man jailed for life in Cambodia for drug trafficking
A Cambodian court on Tuesday, May 8, convicted a Nigerian and Romania of cross-border drug smuggling, and sentenced both of them to life in prison.
Romanian man Adrian-Calin Varadi, 40, was caught on Aug. 14, 2016 when he arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport from Brazil with 4.96 kg of cocaine hidden in his luggage.
Nigerian man Chukwuemeka Ibe, 35, was arrested later that day when he waited at his hotel room to receive the drugs to take them to neighboring Thailand.
The duo are charged with "illegally transporting the drugs" under the country's Drug Law, said a verdict read by Phnom Penh Municipal Court's Presiding Judge Im Vannak.
"The court decides to sentence each of them to life in prison and to fine them 40 million riel (10,000 U.S. dollars) each," the verdict said.
During a trial last month, Varadi confessed to the crime, but Ibe denied the charge, claiming that he did not know the package he supposed to receive was carrying drug. Under the Cambodian law, the convicts have one month to appeal against the ruling.
