The only game brown Ideye has played well for Nigeria was at the 2007 FIFA U20 World Cup when he scored in our opening game against Costa Rica. The only other highlight I have of his entire super eagles career was that flick he give to Emenike for him to score against Burkina Faso at the group state of AFCON 2013. TheSuperNerd: World Exclusive: Man City Offer Borussia Dortmund Iheanacho In Deal To Sign Aubameyang
https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/7018Iheanacho.jpg
According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com , Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho may continue his professional career in the German Bundesliga next season.
English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City are prepared to offer Kelechi Iheanacho to Borussia Dortmund as a a sweetener in the proposed deal to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Etihad Stadium.
With the Gabon star valued in the region of €70 million by Borussia Dortmund, City will use Iheanacho as makeweight in the deal to sign him and initial talks are understood to have taken place.
The Taye Academy product is confirmed to be on the radar of other German clubs, including Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen.
The 20-year-old Iheanacho has found game time hard to come by since this year started and an exit from Man City in the coming months is not out of topic.
The Citizens would prefer to sell the Nigerian to a foreign club, rather than their rivals in the Premier League.

TheGoodJoe: You are literally not making a coherent point. The point is so simple.
Guardiola has one of the most intense training session in football. We just watched Manchester United have one of their worst possession in history. This is due to the intensity of Manchester City.
So saying every coach construct drills is totally missing the point.
Also we are talking which is more important. Is it the playing time or training time. It is also basic knowledge, it is the training time.
Playing time shows the result of the training time.
If you agree a basic fact that the training is more important, we can move on.
For you asking if a professional player can be lazy in training means that you have missed a lot.
It happens a lot. Yes Pep has the best training session in the world. Let us award him a trophy for that. |

How can you say Iheanacho is not improving when you have not watched him enough to judge? [/quote So when do we get to watch him?
When he is passed his prime? His mates are already making big statements. I will even be going too far to compare him with 21 yrs old Ronaldo and Messi. At 21 Kanu, Martins, Yakubu and Utaka were already painting Europe red. Iheanacho will be 21 this year and he is practicing drills only.
How I wish we have a quality and more experienced striker I would not have been this worried. |

Answer a simple question and do not zap.
Do you think a regular player in a club like Arsenal who is lazy in training and does not maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Will do better than a player of the same age and ability who has Cristiano Ronaldo's work ethic and lifestyle when he gets a run? Chai! Na wa. See question. How can any professional player be lazy in training in the first place. See, you are just compounding matters on this issue for your self. What kind of answer are you expecting from such a ridiculous question. Abeg I no fit laugh again. So your believe is that only Pep conducts drills for players. Do you know about training conditions at all? Coaches working on the players crosses, shooting techniques, correcting the player when he nods the ball to the right direction. Going over repeated passing drills. Doing ball control sessions to improve first touch.
You can imagine. Referee red card and fan humilation. Hard tackles.

BascoVanVeli: Please answer these few questions. Do u see 50,000 fans at training? Is there pressure at training? Is training live on tv and seen across the world? How hard do u get kicked at training? Are u telling us that EPL referees blow training matches for man city? Can u put training goals on a CV? Let me add more: Do you get booked for hard tackles during 'Drills'? During drills do you have to play 10 against 11 where each player doubles his efforts to see off a game? Do the press criticise players for not doing well during drills? Do players face opposing fans humiliation during drills? Do you fight tooth and nail to secure a result during drills? What about the urgency? Do you play with the same urgency especially when you are down and chasing a goal. All these experiences are what what makes you the better player. There is no way match day conditions can be compared to training conditions. cc: TheGoodJoe. |

TheGoodJoe: It strikes me that I have to explain what I have explained.
Mascherano said it took him over a year to master it. I want Iheanacho to master the system. This will make him a better player. I am interested in a better player than a headline hype.
I quoted you on this before all these talk started. I told you I will not have problem with Iheanacho benching as long as he is learning the system.
I explained this in detail. I guess you did not pay attention. The City team is still learning. Anyone watching the team now can see the improvements.
Just like the team, the players are improving. Guardiola actually has a three years development plan. I do jot want Nacho that long without playing time. That is why I said a season or two. So because it took Mascherano over a year to master it, it will also take Iheanacho 1 or 2 too to master it. Your assumption here is highly flawed and baseless. No two players are the same and more so that do not play the same position and not have to compete with the same kind of players. |

TheGoodJoe: What part of I do not about Guardiola's playing time. Playing time is for people like you who think that guarantees development.
I am for the behind-the-scenes work. I am for the training sessions. The drills, the fitness routines. The diet, the reduction in building muscles through weights instead use aerobics workout sessions. The high intensity sessions.
These are what Nacho needs more than the game time you feel is the ultimate. After absorbing it. If there is no game time, move.
So tell me the handwriting I am not seeing. Excuse me. Are you telling me that the ideal is to get only drills and no game time? All those 'drills, fitness routine, dieting to reduce weight ' that you mentioned is it that players who play regular game time do not undergo those too? Or are you implying a player will have to chose between drills and regular play time? I am not understanding. You are now saying 'IF there is no game time move'. We are telling you there is no game time. PEP DOES NO HAVE PLANS FOR IHEANACHO FROM 2017/2018 SEASON AND BEYOND. So that means NO GAME TIME FOR IHEANACHO FOR THE 2017/2018 SEASON! that is the hand writing on the wall that you have read but purposely blocked your mind from reading the meaning. WE ARE CONCERNED BECAUSE 2018 IS OUR WORLD CUP YEAR AND WE WANT IHEANACHO TO MAINTAIN A REGULAR PLAYING TIME LEADING TO THE WORLD CUP. That is my point and that of some others here. Is that difficult to accept? |

TheGoodJoe: That is what separates me from people that think football is about playing time. If you consider that Mascherano said it took him over a year to absorb Guardiola's tactics, you will understand why I said a year or two.
As you said, you do not care about the philosophy. So you are not even in the position to understand the importance.
Even German coaches held regular sessions with Guardiola to learn his methods because they knew the importance. Please explain to us the one or two years plan Pep, sorry, you have for Iheanacho. And please we need to see that time table you and Pep drew for Iheanacho. |

TheSuperNerd: Sir TheGoodJoe.... I get your points... but Chief Icon4s just hit a major cord with that one line of his....
Mr Pep Guardiola don't seem to share same views with You about Iheanacho.... this is the key reason why Nacho must leave. Pep doesnt rate the lad. Nacho can learn all he wants at City and from one of the best which pep and his team of coaches are... BUT.... and A Big But... Nacho is not in Pep's plans.
When pep is asked, "Who are your strikers?"
Pep reasons just two players... "Gabby J and Kun Aguero"
So Sir GoodJoe... I get your well laid out points... I always do.... but the major killer point is Pep and you are not on the same page concerning Iheanacho. I wonder how someone will see the hand writing on the wall and purposely refuse to read it. Or reads it but does not read the meaning. |

Please.
I said a year or two. Does that in any way look like forever to you? Unlike your, I even pointed an time-table. Before Nacho entered City, I pointed a reason. Work with the best.
To Become the best, you challenge the best.
Anyone Guardiola and the City crew want to bring, let them bring the person. I welcome it wholeheartedly. As I said, most are not thinking of his development. They just want playing time which has proven to fail.
Let the person come and let the young man work very hard. When he gets hi run, he will shine. O you said a year or two. You even drew or pointed out a time table. You now the Manager of Manchester City FC right? |

TheGoodJoe: You are only concerned with Iheanacho's appearance and not his development. If you watched that game, you will see the speed of his movement.
It is not who calls police first that wins the case.
Let Nacho keep working hard, he will get to play with as much mobility as Gabriel Jesus. Nacho already showed sign in his last appearance.
I do not know how else to say it. Gabriel Jesus already has what Guardiola wants from Nacho. Exercise patience. I thought you once said the coming of Jesus will only affect WFs like Sterling and Navas and not iheanacho. You talk as if you sleep and wake up with pep where as you do not know his plans and directions. That man does not have plans for a Nigerian by name Iheanacho. Idealogies like: 'Nigeria does not produce world class players so no need investing so much on Iheanacho he is not likely to produce the desired results. Jesus is a Brazilian and they are known to reach the various Zeniths of world football and so he is a better prospect '. I have just given you an hint of what those Europeans think about us. Sorry it seems Pep does not share same believes with you on Iheanacho. |

Is it not in the game against Algeria that despite not playing regularly, the coach of Algeria and a reputable journalist pointed Iheanacho as the reason we beat Algeria?
Do we have another striker who can put in that amount of energy? Even with their regular playing time? Oh my God bros Quiet this argument abeg. If you want Iheanacho to sit on the bench his entire career na you sabi. City are planning on signing a new striker and of course you know that will mean Iheanacho may never see action for weeks and you feel happy that a player you so rated to be a world beater will continue to remain on the bench till when? TheGoodJoe:
It was people like you that clamoured we do not play Iheanacho and kept Ighalo upfront. Because Ighalo was regular at Watford and Nacho was not.
That was so shallow that a journalist asked of Oliseh's decision that Iheanacho was ready for the Super Eagles after he scored against Crystal Palace? Was it not the same player or did that goal transform Iheanacho?
I have repeatedly said, experience/bench warmer talk is an excuse of dropping the best for a weaker player.
We need the best in terms of speed, stamina, fitness, shooting accuracy, work rate, tracking back. If with Iheanacho's benching, he can do these more than those with regular game time, why is the game time paramount? Iheanacho at that time was not considered as a CF for the Eagles. It only made team selection sense to have had Ighalo as our CF then as he was our hottest striker. Though I never believed he had what it takes to become a goals king but he was a better choice than the others. No sane coach I repeat no sane coach would have started Iheanacho ahead of Ighalo at the time when Ighalo was having a glittering career. Though he has deeped in form which was not anticipated this early. All those attributes you listed in your last paragraph is it by being out of match day squad(warming bench is even better) that a player will achieve those? So amazing. See, Iheanacho is a Nigerian before being a Manchester City player. I am concerned with what he will deliver on the field of play and not how much of Pep's philosophy he has learned on the 'Drilling ground'. |

This Iheanacho's case. I don't think there is any thing yet to be said about it.
The good, the bad, the hype, the drills, the lack of game time, The Pep's Philosophy, the coming of Jesus, the need to leave and so on.
My own is I do not care about Man city, Pep and their Philosophy.
My concern in this case is are we going to the World Cup with a bench warming striker? A striker that only takes part in drills?
I really feel for the boy. He needs help fast else before our very eyes we'll see Iheanacho disappear from the spot light. Which is already happening.
Gernot Rohr, I know you can do something. Please talk to Pep to release Iheanacho. I take God beg you. |
