TheGoodJoe: Can you explain why? 1. The coverage of the EPL is phenomenal. An avenue to sell himself to bigger clubs/leagues. I can't even recall when last I watched Celtic play. Maybe earlier this season. 2. Bournemouth is a high pressing fast paced attacking team. A player like Onyekuru, if he lives up to his billings, would be unstoppable. |

Nevertheless, he going back to his parent club in Greece next season. Dominic wil be going to another club next season. Expect something great from him. I did not see the moniker of the person making this comment before I knew exactly who it could be. Ajagun is good but we are blessed with better AM options. |

komekn: When you are a technically gifted player, your attributes can be applied for competitive advantage in a good team. However, if you are technically gifted and you are playing in a kick and rush, hard endeavour, carpenter football team, you really cannot do much. That's why quite a few EPL teams struggle against lower league teams. I remember Liverpool getting bullied last year against AFC Wimbledon, all the pretty £20 million + players couldn't cope.
In the same vein imagine you put Mata in one of these lower league teams that play Air-Force kick and rush football teams, he will be lost and anonymous.
Aluko is playing in a team that is the best footballing side in the championship as opposed to a struggling Hull, its obvious you haven't watched him recently. I actually rate Fulhams academy as one of the best in the UK and i mean top 3 which reflects the technical qualities in the team.
Finally ,tell me 3 players who are better than him please in the positions that he can play. Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and John Obi Mikel. Also Oghenekaro Etebo if played from the wings, just like at Rio, can offer more than what Aluko presently can. Aluko is well known to Rohr and his crew. If they feel his services are needed they 'll go for him. |

TheSuperNerd: Celtic target Henry Onyekuru in further demand as Bournemouth now join race for Nigerian starlet
https://i2.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article9664880.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/JS109702076.jpg
Celtic now face a real battle from the English Premier League to secure the signature of KAS Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru.
The highly-coveted 19-year-old was watched by scouts from EPL trio Liverpool , Southampton and Bournemouth during the weekend Europa League play-off match against KV Kortrijk.
Onyekuru bagged his fifth goal in his last four games in the 3-3 draw, to take his season tally to 17 goals in 32 appearances, as the race hots up for the Nigerian.
The Hoops made a bid for the Eupen starlet in January and it's believed he was keen on a move to the Premiership champions, but his club refused to sell, prompting Onyekuru to go AWOL for a few days.
The player recently confirmed he would be leaving the Jupiler League side at the end of the Belgian season and revealed he would announce where he will be plying his trade next, saying: "After the play-off, I will announce my decision.
"I have made my decision to leave. I have already agreed with Eupen that I am joining my new club after this season.
"I want to take the next step and play abroad. My ultimate aim is to one day play in the Premier League .
"There have been many enquiries for me. From clubs in Scotland, England and Germany.
"I am in negotiations right now with clubs.
"I believe I have had my best season, but I want to leave Eupen on a high and I would love to get as far up the table as possible before I leave.
"But it's really been my first season in a major league and I know I still have a lot to learn."
Fellow Belgian side Club Brugge, Borussia Monchengladbach and CSKA Moscow have also been linked with moves for the £6million-rated striker.

komekn: Considering Ademola went from League 1 to premiership without winning a MOTM.
Dele Alli went from League one into EPL and England team within a year.
Why do we have wait for him to get to the EPL first? These are young players that have the propensities to grow and develop. What did Aluko achieve for all his years in the EPL? We talk as if we did not see him play for Hull City a couple of seasons ago. I am not against his recall but my point is I do not see anything special in him cos he is not gonna do better than the players we have presently. |

TheSuperNerd: No way is this explanation enough to debunk the fact that nacho is oftentimes ignored.... this has been happening overtime and most of his teammates are guilty.
Enough said.
And about build-up plays.... na so.... so nacho cannot do even 1% of buid-up plays?? Make una go watch that Southampton game at the etihad again abeg.... nacho can't do build-up plays indeed.... I have been hearing this song but it is a lie....
Besides, nacho was brought in to find a goal and not to fall back to midfield and "Build up plays"
City were desperate and needed Nacho upfront... for crying out loud, this was Extra-time..... his instruction was to get a goal... not to build up plays... These were tight and desperate moments... so why fall back to midfield when you need bodies in the box?? When Welbeck was brought in was it not for Arsenal to get a goal? Yet you saw his several link up plays with Sanchez, Ozil and Ramsey See, my own is I do not want to follow u guys' insinuations that he was being purposely ignored. Even under such desperate minutes? Pep Goofed big time by substituting Aguero when he did. Only for him to later bring in Iheanacho as a CF to salvage the situation. There are several games I have seen Iheanacho being involved in the build up play aside even the much referenced Southampton game. But for today's game? The Arsenal defenders got the better of him and his team mates could not locate him. Not that they purposely ignored him. |

TheSuperNerd: Exactly Sir Basco.... they don't just seek him out.... Despite all his efforts, his teammates still don't wanna trust him or treat him like an elite or fine player....
No wonder when Toure spoke about City's attack... he only made mention of Ageuro and Gabby J.... Nacho didnt even come to his mind.
Nacho is not enjoying the confidence of his manager and also of his teammates.... under Pellegrini, this was also a challenge for him until Pelle decided to be playing him more often giving his teammates no choice but to seek him out a bit more....
I am so happy Man City crashed out today. Nonsense! I think it has to do with the way iheanacho runs into positions. Could be that He runs into positions that will be difficult for his team mates to find him. I noticed it on two occasions: one when Yaya-Toure had the ball and was looking for opening. Iheanacho ran but from where he ran to there was no way Yaya-Toure would pass the ball to him without the Arsenal defenders intercepting the pass. A similar one happened again when I think Sane was in an advantage position. Then another thing is Iheanacho does not contribute to overall build up play. Welbeck came in as Arsenal's CF but you could see him playing from different advanced position and not just running into the 18yards box waiting for that perfect pass. |

joseph1013: I watched Kelechi from U13 to U17, and he used to have a good first touch. The poor touch was not even present during the 2014 City pre-season. It's a travesty that the wonderful city ground would make a player worse in such an aspect. It's very strange to me, sincerely.
Does anyone think I'm wrong, apart from the only city fan obviously? You are not wrong bro. I never saw first touch as an issue for Iheanacho until like maybe last year or so. The thing is I think he concentrates more on getting into position than trapping of the ball. Just like today's game. He was running into position. But If Iheanacho's first touch had not failed him we would probably be singing another by now. |

Zero impact. The only time he got into position his first touch (his major negative) set him back.
I am waiting for the TheGoodJoe to come and give us those his usual analysis oh how Kelechi pressed and moved each and every muscle in the game. |

The Rwandans’ strikeforce could not find a way past Sunday Rotimi in Kigali, causing their Confederation Cup elimination Rayon Sports crashed out of the Caf Confederation Cup after failing to break down Rivers United at Juventus at Stade Régional Nyamirambo in a goalless draw which confirmed a 2-0 aggregate play-off defeat.
After surrendering a three-goal advantage against El Merrikh to get bounced out of the Caf Champions League, Stanley Eguma’s men learnt their lessons as they held their nerves to prevent their hosts from scoring.
With this result, the Port Harcourt based outfit joins TP Mazembe, CS Sfaxien, Zesco United, FUS Rabat, Smouha, Recreativo do Libolo, MC Alger and MC Mounana for the group phase.
Others are Horoya, Platinum Stars, SuperSport United, Al-Hilal Al-Ubayyid, Mbabane Swallows, Club Africain and KCCA. Rivers United are seeded in Pot two for the draw billed for Wednesday at the Caf headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The teams will be zoned into four groups of four. In the group stage, each group is played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The winners and runners-up of each group advance to the quarter-finals of the knockout stage.

Danycrusoe: I stumbled upon this highlight of the match between 3SC and Ifeanyi Ubah on fb, please kindly view it, it involves the two incidents that led to the two penalties given to FCIU. 3SC officials and coach made a meal of those calls as if they were manufactured whereas school boy errors by their defence led to the penalties.
before we castigate these NPFL referees we should think twice. this is y we need live coverage for our league matches, with this video one can deduce Wetherby the ref was ryt or not, not just dwelling on biased reports.

Danycrusoe: Good morning house, I was surprised that none of our league matches were on TV some 3 weeks back, and with the recent developments it's disappointing as I was even thinking of buying a gotv decoder to follow the matches but now it's out of the winning.
this myt have adverse effects on the league matches as clubs myt indulge in some dirty shenanigans due to the absence of camera, well dere isn't much to worry about as NFF and LMC officials are always around to see d games, that would reduce the damage to some extent.
But I am thinking if local coverage of the league is not well taken care of, what will now happen to the proposed rites of AIT to broadcast the matches in the UK, I even think AIT should get the full rights at once and continue where supersport have stopped. they may have poor coverage at the start but with time it would get better.
Oga Icon4s I know Collin udoh works with Kwese sports TV, maybe that's where they have edge as he is close to the top official, however my question is on what cable TV dish is Kwese sports on? so I can know which decoder to plan for, as a student e no easy but, once I have it, he Don become my own... Some1 said Kwese sports is on CTL. But that name 'Kwese' sounds Ghanaian. Talking about AIT, that station mtcheeew. Firstly they will come with some yeye-yeye commentators that don't even understand the rules of football and history of those clubs and players. Secondly, the picture quality will not be different from that of the analogue NTA and also poor camera positioning and lack of good replays from vital angles. Thirdly you cannot see weekly fixture just like how you see when you press ok on Super Sports Fourthly, AIT Might plan to show a game and the next thing one political party will buy over that time from AIT to air live their political campaign. And next thing you'll see: "Sorry viewers we are not able to air the 3SC vs Kano Pillars match due to APC national convention holding in Abuja". You know stuffs like that. Or one Church will just buy that time and be showing one of their programs. Just like how AIT chose to show one Catholic show called 'Oremus" when we were waiting to watch Nigeria vs North Korea at 2015 WYC. Na my phone I take watch that naija match that day. The things just Dey just break and booth I no dey even see goal na when the players dey celebrate I dey know. Fifthly, I don tire to dey buy different decoders full house. My HiTV Decoder and dish still dey. I have always had DSTV. I had to buy Startimes when they chose to move our U17 and U20 World cup matches their. I have not loaded my Star-times decoder for almost 1 years now. It is jus there. |

I am not saying being vocal is what you need to get the job, it helps project you. I have never read an article about Mutiu Adepoju's opinion about anything about the national teams. That aside. He has never worked as any body's assistant at any level. I am even hearing from you that he bagged a UEFA license before Oliseh. You don't just expect things to come your way when you are not actively involved in activities that will project you.
