Nah, putting him on the wings is a waste of talent and creativity. Iwobi excels in playing within tight spaces, giving short & long range passes, and releasing the strikers to finish play - that is, providing the final pass. That's his best role in the game. He doesn't have the speed to excel as a wing forward.

It probably is; but not far from the truth tho. Like I told y'all a few days ago, Rohr is most likely going to select 8 defenders due to the players available to him (Balogun, Ekong, Shehu, Ebuehi, Omeruo, Awazien, Idowu, and Echiejile). And I think it makes sense for him to do that.

And by the way, DR Congo are no pushovers either. This is the same Congo team that played Egypt out of the park in Cairo and could've easily won that match, if they had taken their chances. And it took a dodgy injury time penalty for Egypt to beat them 2-1 in Cairo! So let's put this performance in perspectives as well ... they played against a good team.

Funny enough, if we had played Serbia on this same pitch, alot of people including you would have blamed the pitch for the shabby performance. Hopefully, the poor quality football is not gradually becoming a culture. The team must do better going forward.

Haha!! I knew that this comparison was coming! Comparing those two friendly games is silly to say the least.

First of all, the pitch today was so bad that it was simply impossible to play good football on such pitch. Secondly, the team (Super Eagles) was taking it easy. After what happened to Moses Simeon, nobody wants to get hurt on that bad pitch and miss the World Cup, especially playing against a team with nothing to lose (DR Congo). If you want to blame anyone then blame the NFF for wasting a good opportunity by organizing this friendly game in PH.

Yes, the quality of football they played inspired a lot for confidence. Bros, that team B bossed Athletico in midfield all night long. Had them chasing shadows for long periods. What they lacked was better coordination in defence, which doesn't come overnight anyway, it takes a long time to drill a defence into shape.

Most of those guys deserves to rub shoulders with the big boys, if Rohr was more open minded. One of the problems this team will have to overcome is complacency. Psychologically, Africans don't function well without competition. Alot of these players know their place is assured after the Argentina game, this have affected thier output. Very typical of Africans

I think they took the game to PH because the Rivers state governor was gonna rain $$$ on the team and their officials. So the NFF thieves decide to take the game to such a horrible pitch. They don't give a damn about protecting the players, all they care about is their pockets.

Guys, unfortunately, I think Ola Aina is going to miss out on Russia. He isn't a bad player but he really doesn't offer anything that we don't already have in Idowu, Elderson, Ebuehi, and Shehu.

I think Rohr purposely wanted to compare Elderson in the first half and Aina second half to see who gets cut. And based on what I just saw, I think Rohr might decide to go with Elderson and Idowu.
