All the other silly stuffs called formations are just a variation of the aforementioned 4.

Actually, without him, Barca won a treble and a double under Luiz Enrique. Remember? So how do you explain that? Were they really winning because of Pep or in spite of him? Your guess is as good as mine.

To me, what makes a great coach is how he makes his players better. To better understand where I am coming from, just look at what coaches Mauricio Pochettino has done at Spurs, Ronald Koeman did at Everton, and even what the big Sam is doing with Crystal Palace.

Hence, in my opinion, the blossom of players like: Victor Moses, Kevin De Bryune, Romelu Lukaku, Arjen Robben (just to mention a few) after Jose Mourinho is a clear indication that Jose is a piss poor coach; who can only win by gathering the best group of players on the planet. And you can say the same thing about Pep when you think about the likes of Yaya Toure (at Barca), and John Stones, Kelechi, Nolito, etc. at ManCity.

Bottom line, most of these so called great coaches are grossly overrated.

Omo, you live and die by your results...it doesn't matter how you procure them. If packing the bus gets you the result then so be it.
A few years ago, Mourinho's Inter Milan packed a tank against Barca at Nou Camp but still come out winning the match and eventually winning the UCL championship. So are we gonna put asterisks* to that championship win because they packed the bus? No, I don't think so.

Take it from me, Man Utd would do better than ManCity in next year's EPL. And that's all that matters.

Joe, do you know the problem I have with that line of argument? Pep's team isn't improving. In fact, his team is getting worse. If he's on a long term project as you said, at least, we gotta see some evidence of improvement after more than 8 months. But instead of improving, his team is actually retrogressing. So how do you explain that? He started off with a 10 unbeaten run. Since then he hasn't even had a 4 unbeaten run.

Gosh, even Jose Mourinho's team (who's also overrated, IMHO) has shown some significant improvements over the past 8 months. But we can't say the same about Pep. So how do you explain that

In a bid to avoid the drama that made Nigeria to call up an emergency goalkeeper during their last training camp in London, the technical crew of the Super Eagles have placed ex Nigeria U-23 safe hands Emmanuel Daniel on standby.


The Super Eagles are to have a training camp in France later in the month, but there are doubts over the availability of two of their regular shot stoppers for various reasons.


Carl Ikeme is still injured, while second choice shot stopper Daniel Akpeyi might miss the get together due to club engagement, for now only Dele Alampasu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are sure bet to join the team in France.

Considering the fact that Nigeria will take on Corsica Island in a friendly game on the 26th of May, coach Gernot Rohr feels there’s a need for a third goalkeeper.

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel who has trained with the team in the past has been placed on standby by the technical crew, pending on when they get an update on the fitness of Ikeme.

Daniel is yet to play a game for Pirates due to registration issues, but Rohr wants to work with almost same pool of players he has worked with in the past, hence his decision to include him in the squad despite his inaction at club level.
