Actually, ALL of Cristiano Ronaldo's awards were all gifts. If Ballon d'Or is given to the real best players in the world then ONLY Messi would've been winning it since 2009. The fact of the matter is, Messi has been the best player in the world for the past 10 years … not giving him all the Ballon d'Or over the years simply because didn't win the UCL has been the most unfair thing ever. And individual award should be based solely on individual performance not on how many trophies the teams win.

And by the way, FIFA has only changed the Ballon d'Or rules once in their history - when they extended the voting deadline in 2013. Again, you might be 100 correct on your assessment of him. I mean, Aribo might turn out to be the missing piece in our midfield; however, what I am saying is that we need to see more games from him (in the green and white) before we can make that call. And I am not insisting that Etebo has to be a starter either so I will be happy if Aribo is an upgrade on Etebo and Ndidi. We just need to wait and see.

Like I said prior to the AFCON, I have noticed that Wilfried Ndidi doesn't seem to perform for the Super Eagles as he does for Leicester City. And I think that that is because he feels that he has become indispensable for the Super Eagles but, watch out, he'd step up once he's no longer guaranteed a starting position in the team.
