If the FG has no ongoing project in Ekiti State, what then is the purpose of the minister's visit? To "inspect" the State Government's projects?

Men!!! N165Billion?! shocked

I must confess that even my Witchcraft didn't see this one coming! Great Job guys!!!

Akintola Williams must have gotten his 'alert' by now grin

But my memory is a little wavy this morning from stomach cramps (i'm sure you understand why), aren't these the same guys that gave Oceanic, Intercontinental and Bank PHB AA+ ratings just before the tsunami?! huh

I suggest a 'Proudly African, Truly International' bank can afford an International auditor for a change at least and stop window dressing your non-performing loans. Take 100% provision for once now, I swear you won't diegrin
Pele, @ the bolded. Hope you've taken some Tramadol/Buscopan?

Trust me, no window dressing (you and Trump are 5 and 6 when it comes to conspiracy theories).

You got it all wrong again, GTBank's external (independent) auditor is PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services firm tongue, not Akintola Williams like you would have us believe.

Lol @ "your witchcraft", so even you know say you be "winch"?

Be good, and stay outta trouble.

Cheers!

Madam softwerk, have you seen GTBank's annual report?

The bank that will soon start selling recharge card (according to you) just declared a profit of 165 Billion Naira, more than any of its peers.

The Segun Agbaje that you so much hate and wish to fail must be doing something right, init? tongue

Competitor fire! Which yeye competitor she be?

The envy no be here. She most likely was once a staff of GTB, definitely fired, plausibly for committing fraud.

She's been ranting on here all day, like a rabid dog.

You started making sense , but your last two paragraph shows signs of envy, probably gtbank is your competitor

Icon8, I really tried my best to ignore your senseless presumptions and attacks due to my very busy business schedule but to accuse me of fraud and being an ex-staff is a different low entirely even for a faceless clown like yourself by all standards!

I can only blame your idiotic parents for giving birth to a complete lunatic like yourself!

A fool like you should have ended up trapped in a used condom grin

I really wonder why you pride yourself working for someone with all the business opportunities existing in the country?!

At the bolded: same way you're full of regrets for a wasted life, right? Truth is, I've got no pity for you.

And yeah, I clicked and posted on this thread because I'm an interested party in the Etisalat case, and you can be sure this will form part of my presentation at MCC tomorrow tongue.

By the way, we can help you plead with Segun and HR to re-engage you, only if you show remorse though, 'cos we don't want bitter people in the INSTITUTION some of us have sacrificed so much to build to this enviable height!

For the umpteenth time, GET A LIFE!!!

softwerk:
Search your conscience my friend, that is if you still have one! The truth can never stay hidden for long!!!

Meanwhile you are reviewing your FAM for MCC and still have time to post on NL huh

I'm confident you'll look back on this thread one day and regret your comments.

Enjoy your day!

I had pre-empted this outburst and dealt with it in my subsequent quote. Alas, I was right about you being a disgruntled ex-staff.

One piece of advice, take your misery out of this thread, as I shall no longer be responding to your tirade.

Finally, get a life, cos I've got FAMs and FSRs to review, in preparation for tomorrow's MCC.

softwerk:
My friend please don't quote me or talk ignorant CRAP?!

I'm sure you wrote the FAM and presented the credit at MCC (If your block head even understands those acronyms)?!

masonkz:
The bold is wrong. Amount owed by Etisalat to GTBank is minute compared to other banks. It's a syndicated loan, which means other banks are involved. You should also look at GTbanks' financial statement to see their total loan balance then get a break down of the syndicated facility to see how much is even due to the various banks

Gtbank would obviously have more income from MTN customers that subscribe on its *737# platform than other network providers. Income from Etisalat customers would be negligible.
Now, this is an informed opinion. You did well by "schooling" that ...dunno what term to use.

That is exactly what happens when you think you know too much!!!

Segun Agbaje (MD GTBank) chased away the best hands from the bank after the former MD, Tayo Aderinokun passed on cry

Segun Agbaje is now surrounded by sycophants and ass-lickers that can ONLY tell him what he loves to hear every day to massage his arrogance and obese ego while they go ahead to perpetrate under the table transactions!!!

GTBank is now a mere mirage of its old self cry
I knew that you're a disgruntled ex-staff, when I saw your first comment on this post.

Pray, tell...which best hands did Segun chase away? And how excatly is GTBank a mirage of its old self?? By declaring over a billion Naira in profit for five consecutive yearshuh

GTBank has entered one-chance with Etisalat!

Their golden goose has suddenly started laying rotten eggs grin

Loan syndication can be so messy (See how a bank's biggest customer suddenly becomes their biggest headache)!!!grin

Now they realize their Foreign Backed Guaranty Bond was just a mere paper (Etisalat Abu Dhabi, UAE will never come to their rescue in this pathetic business climate) embarassed

This may just be the end of the bank's romance with Etisalat on their epileptic Retail Banking platforms such as *737* mobile transfers and Easysavers 100% powered by Etisalat grin

Soon all GTBank staff will start selling Etisalat recharge cards with monthly targets grin
You're very ignorant...or just cheeky, at best!

I guess those so called "travelers" do not have bank accounts, that will enable them buy their PTAs from commercial banks! Why anyone will wait till their departure date before looking for fx to buy at the airport beats me.

WHOEVER GENUINELY NEEDS PTA SHOULD APPROACH ANY OF THE 21 COMMERCIAL BANKS IN THE COUNTRY FOR THEIR QUARTERLY ALLOCATION OF $4,000 before their travel date!!! It's not difficult, I bought mine on Tuesday for a trip I plan to embark on next week.

We shouldn't expect the banks to comply with the CBN directive of erecting outlets at major airports overnight! While it is desirable, the CBN directive only advised that they do so as soon as practicable, which may be in another year or two, in my opinion.

This report is nothing but a failed attempt at watering down the gains associated with the recent CBN intervention. To which I say, there's no going back!

I had wanted to reply, but then i stumbled on your comment. This writer's tirade is totally uncalled for. Her article reeks of arrogance and entitlement. It's not as if she has been denied the visa even when it is the prerogative of the Country to grant or deny a visa. Also, did she pay for fast track service?! The N70,000 she coughed out wasn't to the SA High Commission. It was to an agency.

In Davido's voice - "no be by force to go South Africa". She obviously isn't going about this maturely. Maybe na the hotel booking and the perks wey BMW dey offer her; and wey she think say she fit miss, dey make her head spin.
Hehehe...lol. You summed it all up so nicely. To go SA "na by force"?

I totally agree with the bolded. So immature and in bad taste.

Could you believe she was even advising the SA High Commission to take a cue from UAE (Dubai) and one other country like that? Why not Nigeria, if her own country were that "on fleek"?

Op, keep consoling yourself.

Better cut your losses and move on. Sorry for busting your bubble, the Naira will appreciate further before it stabilizes at around N400/$1 (in the parallel market). I'm sure you're saddened the more tongue. Kpele. I don't even have any pity for you. Afterall, you're only one of those people SLS was referring to, who were making billions from round-tripping, without leaving their homes...to the detriment of poor Nigerians and the ailing Nigerian economy.

By the way, where did you get your official rate of N405/$1 from? The official dollar exchange rate is nowhere near that amount you plucked from the air, sir!

But this may be you consoling yourself again.
TravelRe: "My Nasty Encounter With South African High Commission" by icon8:
I think the writer is the arrogant one here, not the SA High Commission!

Wonder where she got her sense of entitlement from. Applying barely 2 weeks before the proposed travel date; calling her "contacts" to pull strings to fast-track her "visa issuance", like she's guaranteed one; pressuring the embassy with calls and emails, etc., is enough for her application to be "deliberately" delayed and/or denied. Why not turn in your application and sit back while the embassy processes on merit, like every other person without "contacts" would?

Lastly, BMW shouldn't have to lose any "huge amount of money". All they need do is to simply cancel all the bookings, with only a token forfeited as penalty/administrative charge.

But then, what do I know?

And to think the writer is supposed to be a journalist? A poorly written piece, if you ask me. Sitting here criticizing SA High Commission? If only she knew what folks go through while applying for a short visit visa to Nigeria. Even Nigerians abroad will testify to the goodness of the Nigeria High Commission the world over!
