I am a Nigerian Software Engineer living in London. I need the warmth of a Nigerian woman's bosoms this yuletide. If you are single and looking, I am happy to meet you over coffee and get to know you.

Yes I will
Be travelling in a few month. I’m asking because I learnt there’s a limit of 10000 USD/7500£ On international travels . I don’t know if it’s safe to travel with that amount of cash in hand.

I see your point. Maybe travel with what you are comfortable carrying - enough to meet your cash needs for the first few weeks while you find your feet. Like someone earlier advised, there are a few people on this thread that could help you when the time comes - Lexusgs430 (Baba Jack of all trades grin grin), mamatukwas (GBP to NGN only), and omopapa (same as Lexus), to mention a few.

Hi house. Good day all
Your valued contribution is needed.
I would love to know the best way one can convert naira to pounds for easy accessibility when I get to UK.

I’m assuming you are still in Nigeria. If so, why not convert your Naira to Pounds before leaving Nigeria? That way, you will have one less thing to worry about when you get to the UK.

Hello,
I just arrive Hull with my family and my wife is currently quarantining for 10 days. I have already taken the vacinne so am out looking for accommodation. Please anyone that can be of help in getting a 2 bedroom property should please get in touch.
We are currently putting up in a self catering facility where I paid for 10 days.

Should you be out and about during your isolation period? Why is your wife isolating and you are not? Not accusing you of anything. I’m just curious, that’s all.

Good idea, but there are things like commercial van insurance, the eliminated IR35 rules and things like that that will cut deeply into those projected figures. This is apart from T&Cs and small print - the delivery companies usually apply targets, for instance you only get so-and-so amount if you make so-and-so number of deliveries a day, and those thresholds are usually not as achievable as they may sound.

Not to discourage you or your idea for setting up a business, which I think is laudable. Still trying to manage what I've got in Nigeria myself, might just end up selling up and look into setting up something here.
Potential partner here when you are ready sir. Business partner o, not that other type cheesy

On tier2 sponsorship: Do we have our people in business here in the UK with sponsorship licence and ready to employ our graduates here? The Asians are into this, helping thier people and expanding.
When are we going to become selfless? We have our people in care but careless to get sponsorship licence, sadly this licence is cheap to get. Our people need us, help....we are good people, we are hard-working, encourage your own.
* If you have a legitimate business in the UK and qualified to get a sponsorship licence, pm me I will contribute to you getting it to help our UK graduates.

Good morning

Why don’t you take the lead? Since you have this noble idea, why not register a legitimate business, get a sponsorship licence and employ as many Nigerians as you want? After you’ve done that with some degree of success, come back here and share your story, I’m sure others will follow in your footsteps.

Hello
Please do I have to be quarantine even if fully vaccinated, i am coming from Nigeria to UK next month to attend a professional course

I read somewhere that the UK will not recognise any vaccination from Nigeria (and most countries outside Europe and North America) from 4th of October. So, if you come in on or after that date, you will be treated as “unvaccinated” and will therefore have to quarantine.
PS: I have not independently verified this claim, so...
