An average yoruba thinks that Abia state is far away from their imaginary SS; not knowing that Abia is a walking distance to Rivers and Akwa Ibom. Many of them don't even know that Abiriba people in Abia trace their origin to Akwa Ibom...Ibibio. Ask them what people are in the picture attached? They will tell you...SS.lol. These are Abiriba Igbo people oh. Yoruba...keep wasting your time and energy dividing us

Southern Governors' Forum Should Be Established

1) The Southern Governors Forum was established a long time ago.

2) You can call for a meeting of the forum, but it's strange to call for the establishment of something that has already been established.

3) Governors of the SW, SE, SS have "refused to cooperate for our common good". That's not true. It was the Southern Governors Forum that met to coordinate the lawsuits against the Federal Government during the onshore and offshore dichotomy crisis. They often met to take positions in the interest of the people of the southern states.
It was established sometimes ago, yes! But is it still functioning at present compare to the one in the north? No! Can it be resuscitated for our common good? Yes! You should at least understand where I'm coming from

Do you even do some little research before opening a thread? There was already a Southern Govs Forum during OBJ's days as "civilian" head of state, where meetings were held in Lagos, Enugu, Benin, Ibadan, Owerri, Port Harcourt, etc. It didn't do hardly anything tangible.

Now, after the Southwest with greed and jealousie sided with former coupist from the north, you want there to be Southern Govs' forum? I say a h.ell NO!!!
Yes! I knew there was something like that but didn't last. I want it resuscitated to foster unity in the south. I want us in the south to unite, I don't know about you

It has nothing to do with religion. In the north there are Muslims and Christians too but all of them governors are in the Northern Governors Forum.
Politics › Southern Governors' Forum Should Be Established by id911(op): 11:21pm On Jan 29, 2016
There is Northern Governors' Forum where all governors in the north, irrespective of party affiliations, meet once in a while to discuss issues affecting the north thereby always coming out with one voice when issues of national importance occur.

Sometimes they meet the Head of State to present their position on what will better the lives of their people in the north. But here in the south, we don't have such.

Please my brothers and sisters, we should ask our governors in the west, SS/SE why they have refused to cooperate for our common good

GreyLaw:
You know, the OP is right. But I couldn't help but notice how he intelligently turned the whole thing, saying GEJ was insulting other leaders. Every Nigerian know that APC insulted the immediate past president to the depths of hell; it was stomach-turning. The OP is obviously hypocritical, and a Buhari supporter, but he should have written this post without distorting facts.
That's how people from his side behave. The Op and his people are like chameleon, very cunning and hypocritical. Instead of the OP to strongly condemn what APC instituted, he cleverly turn it around. It's pathetic

duality:
SORRY is the @op, refusing to admit that the insult was the highest against GEJ and not the way he's putting it as if GEJ went about insulting people. With this kind of pseudo objectivity, these insult will not stop. Even when the said GEJ is out of office, his opponent will wan't to use every opportunity to still insult him. Yet you still think those who support him will not want to retaliate?

We have sown a bad seed and it's deep rooted. For instance, search the threads opened when Patience Jonathan was in the hospital for treatment in Germany and review it. It was so bad that a veteran journalist said on TV. I don't know where this level of hate is coming from... This is outside any arm scandal that people will want to latch on. Just do an objective review on it and see for yourself.

Sorry, but the evil will leave for a long time especially since the present government and their supporters are not ready for healing after a highly contentious election. The international community will be brazen with their insult and the cohesiveness of the country will not be there since it's going to be a sectional thing also. Therefor anyone who says anything that questions the people in power, such a person will be seen as from a region or IPBO.

It's a little late but tthose in government can bring about healing or it will continue. You'll never see anything good in the other person.
Op is a very very biased analyst that's why the thing won't stop in this regime

It was with deep mixed feelings of joy and contempt that I woke to read about the term "ineffectual baboon" tagged to a former president of this republic by a widely read news/opinion platform; The Economists.
This is not the first, and I bet it won't be the last if nothing is done, that's why I support PMB in arresting any one found committing libel/slander all in the name of freedom of speech.
OBJ and IBB once started this unholy adventure when they called each other a fool to celebrate IBB's birthday in 2009, GEJ took it to another height by calling the leaders of a certain region "touts", not done, he went further to insult a former president during election related campaigns, his wife did same by calling a former HOS brain dead, all these, coupled with the citizens lack of understanding in branding and re-branding of our leaders name gave The Economists the confidence to carry out such utterance.
Nigerians, please stop insulting the president, one day, you might be the occupant, same measures, pressed down further, shaken together shall be applied unto you.
PMB, pls reintroduce WAI, we are in need of it right away.
Cc; Mynd44, Lalasticlala, StOla, TonyeBarcanista, IbnSultaan
Op, it won't stop @ least not in this regime. We shouted, begged when some people were denigrating the office of the President during GEJ tenure but they refused to listen to us.

I will never insult that office whether I like the occupier or not. Even some powerful and enlightened individuals like the Jagaban (Tinubu) also did same thinking they were ridiculing GEJ, not knowing it is the Office of the President and we Nigerians they were ridiculing.

Go and read some of the press releases of Comical Lai Mohammed, two, three years ago, you will weep for our country

This thread is hilarious. As much as I do not like Amaechi I agree with his cancelled plan. Cancelling that university was a good decision, rather than wasting resources on it, they should use that money to upgrade the school already in Uyo. That's a better decision and if you actually cared about ND and not being greedy, you'll agree with him on that. I do on the other hand disagree with his choice in upgrading that North school. IDK why they keep using SS money to continue to upgrade an ungrateful people with tendency to leech of others.

Before any of you "check your DNA" clan attack me, I'm from Delta state and I don't care if you disagree with my opinion on this matter.

Why demand for DNA test from Amaechi . Who are you? Amaechi is Diali Ubima and Odum. A man who fights for his right and stands for justice irrespective of political zone is a patriotic Nigerian. If all Niger Deltans were like Amaechi it wouldn't be this backwards despite the available resources and international investments.

There was no election in Rivers State but mass arming of cultists to unleash terror on innocent masses. These cultists were sponsored by PDP and we are yet to recover from its consequences. Visit Orashi region today and you will weep.
Don't tell me there was no election in Rivers State .I witnessed the gubernatorial elections in Rivers but wasn't available during Presidential so can't say much about that.

Although there were issues here and there during the elections but that can't justify your statement

I saw Tonyebarcanista Maritime-university-own-goal thread. I purposely kept mute on that matter because someone musnt indulge in every argument. But you brought it up again.

The Maritime university deserves to be cancelled. If Akpobolokemi found it wise enough to present foundation level structures as the only structures in NMU after over N13Billion spent on the institution then we will gladly help him frustrate it. It is cancelled and remains cancelled. If they really had the interest of NDeltans at heart then they shouldn't have diverted the money for themselves.

Who in this world is happy to spend money allover again for something already budgeted due to wastefulness arising from embezzlement of funds. Even a Dad may not willingly replace a choice item destroyed by his child.

If Akpobolokemi had done what was expected of someone who loved his people, we would have held Amaechi accountable. You cant blame him, resources are scarce, opportunity cost dictates that NMA Oron be upgraded and its scope expanded. And when next NMU is planned, Delta state is off the equation because they had their time and messed it up.

Anyone not comfortable with the decision can do his worst. No shaking.
I understood your explanation bro, we ain't quarrelling. What we all want is a drastic change in the situation of our people.

Shalom!!!

Your comment means you are also one of Nigeria's problem. Both PDP and APC are bad, terribly bad because majority of those running those two parties are some of the people that put us where we currently are.

Majority of Nigerians, even the so-called graduates, people like you are not enlightened to take their destinies in their hands.
