Nairaland is the headquarters of fake news in Nigeria. 90% of news on Front Page are either twisted to suit a particular purpose or outright fake. I just pray Nigeria has a good government going forward that will deal with those creating division and hatred in this country with incessant fake and misleading information.

The Northern cabals' choice of Mr. Jonathan is not intended for the benefit of Nigeria but for ethnic-based selfishness. Looking the other side, i also see his eagerness to go back to Aso Rock as an opportunity to right the wrong of his previous 6 years' rule. H e had admitted the he did treat his region well, so this will offer him great oppotunity.

As far as politics is concern, I don't trust this Northerners. These people are doing exactly what IBB did from 1992 in the run up to the 1993 elections. IBB and his inner cycle supported just anyone that went to them to vie for president but having ulterior motive unknown to people.

He has tried to contest in the past but it's always ended before it begins. The issue is, the Nigerian media domicile in the south normally wash clean core muslim fanatics to the populace as saints thereby placing them in powerful positions to the benefits of the north while vilifying moderate and nice muslims (who would probably do things differently) as devils. That's what they are doing to Zulum of Borno State portraying him as a saint while the so-called educated youths continue to praise him without digging deeper. We have a long way to go.
