*************************************
Good morning, I am married into a very wealthy home, my husband is the eldest child, they are four, 3 male and a female.
Last two years I got a nanny, she's 32 years, my husband is in charge of his father company, his father has houses everywhere around the world but he's leaving with us, because of loneliness, he lost his wife 12yrs ago and since then he refused to marry again, he's 65years old but still young, I have a supermarket, so my nanny cook and takes care of the home while I'm away, my nanny has been sleeping with my father in-law but I didn't know, March this year we found out she's pregnant and she said it was papa that was responsible, when I ask her how long she has been sleeping with him she said since last year.
I was shouting at her when my husband shut me up that I shouldn't talk to her like that, that she's not a child, my own house help! When my husband talk to his father about it, he said the girl, that is my nanny has been his companion that he wants to marry her, mogbe I said over my dead body, my own maid, instead of my husband to be on my side he said if marrying the girl will make his father Happy that he has his support, the house we are living is build by my father in-law, it's a duplex, Mummy as am writing you my husband and his brothers followed my father in-law to pay my nanny dowry, they came back yesterday.
I didn't go with the children because I can't Believe my father in-law stoop so low to marry my maid when there are other women out there, last night I was talking to my husband and he told me to stop referring her as my nanny that she's now Married to his father therefore I should be calling her "Aunty mi", and my kids who usually call her Aunty should start calling her "Mummy", and I asked him what will she be calling me, he said anything she likes.
I am just here crying, someone I brought into my home has now turned madam over me, what should I do, and I can't tell my husband to rent another apartment when he has a duplex, papa can't leave either because he want to be close to his son, how long can I take this, please I need advice. Thanks. Married for 10years.
What if you are saying words of prayer in my our mind nko?
jesusjnr2020: Is Fasting Without Prayer A Meaningless Exercise?
Some would be quick to respond in the affirmative, because they believe fasting must go with prayer, otherwise it would be a mere hunger strike.
But let's see what the Bible has to say about fasting to know if they have a case or not.
Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Now the above is a well known passage in the Bible that speaks about fasting, and it was actually from this passage that Jesus quote to the devil concerning fasting emanated from, when He was being tempted by the devil to eat, during His forty days and forty nights fast in the wilderness when He was said to be tempted of the devil. Matthew 4:4
From the passage, it could be observed that fasting itself has a purpose, and that purpose is that man shall not live by bread alone but by the Word of God. That is because bread is the food of the flesh but God's Word is the food of the spirit, and it's the Spirit that quickens and give eternal life, the flesh profits nothing but death. So the purpose of fasting is make us live by the Word of God which gives life.
But how does man live by God's Word? It is by keeping it, therefore that is the primary purpose of fasting and what it's meant to achieve in our lives.
Hence since fasting cannot be said to be a meaningless exercise even if it is without prayer, because it has a purpose if its own, and more so if that purpose is achieved by fasting alone.
For instance, if someone fasts so as not to sin or to overcome temptation just as Jesus did, and he achieves that purpose even without praying, it cannot be said to be a meaningless exercise or just hunger strike because the purpose of fasting which is the obedience of God's Word had been achieved.
It's all about the purpose, so even if someone doesn't just fasts but also prays, but the purpose of fasting which is that someone doesn't fall into temptation but obeys God's Word, which also happens to be the same purpose as that of prayer, was not achieved, the effort could be said to be meaningless and a failed exercise, because the purpose of fasting and prayer was not achieved in the person's life.
Matthew 26:41 (KJV)
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
It is often said that when purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable, this is the reason why despite the fact that many fast and pray, the purpose of fasting and prayer is usually defeated and made of no effect in their lives, because they know not the purpose of fasting and prayer.
Take Nigeria as a case study. Many Nigerians pray and fast, yet there is so much iniquity in the land, because many of those who pray and fast don't keep God's Word which ought to be the purpose of fasting and praying, so regardless, their prayer and fasting is meaningless and has no real effect in their lives.
Hence it is very important for those who pray and fast to know the purpose of prayer and fasting, which is the obedience of God's Word, so that the purpose of prayer and fasting is not defeated but fully achieved in their lives.

Human being are spirit being, that is a prove that their is God.
udoji2021: I have been thinking about this lately and decide to share it here. Don't get me fellas, I'm a Christian and believe in God and his son Jesus Christ
BUT
It is believe that God created the world and knows what happened before, what is happening presently and what will happen later till the end of time. This brings me question on why he allowed Satan to decieve man, why was he also angry since He knew beforehand of what will happen? Then the consequent punishment, was it really justified?
The most confusing part to me now is life after death. I personally believe that there is heaven and hell right from my childhood days until one guy (Jehovah witness) told me that there is nothing like hell, he went on that even heaven is for a specific number of choose people and not for everyone, above all, he said that when one dies, your own is finished and you are not gonna go anywhere. Simply put, your body and spirit will die.
I nearly insulted him for spewing such rubbish but many years after, I'm beginning to think think twice about this issue. Now, imagine suffering in this life for all the days of your life only to meet death (body and spirit),
My question is;
1) why not just enjoy your life even if it means doing bad things to enjoy life? If you can't enjoy life, why not kill yourself and rest to avoid the sufferings?
2) Even if there is life after death, what if there is no suffering cos God may decide to give everyone peace after death.
3) Those that didn't hear anything about God, what is their fate?
4) which of the scriptures is to be trusted?
May God forgive my ignorance if what I just wrote is bad and punishable.
I believe a woman can cheat even when they love you but a woman that that is discipline and principled won't cheat no matter what, as for me no woman without thier own lapses, what if is next date is even worst nko? Please let him forgive her.
My friend who is a US citizen, single, no kids, no wife, and has been working in the US for close to 10 years. Things have gone well and he was planning to settle down this August. So he came to Nigeria about one and half years ago to do introduction and engage his high school sweetheart. Note, this is also when they officially / seriously started dating . All has been well, and the both of them, their families were preparing for the wedding in August. However, last week he just discovered that his fiancee recently went to visit her ex boyfriend. When he confronted her, she said she went because she was bored, and she refused afterwards to change her phone number (he wanted to stop them communicating), saying she didn't sleep with her ex, and she only went for a hangout in his house.
My friend has cancelled the wedding as we speak, and everybody is begging him to re-consider. Between, the lady's age is within the range of 33 to 36. And my guy is between 37 to 40. He is confused as we speak, because he is taking a hard line on the issue, he doesn't want to start his marriage life on a wrong foundation. At the same time, he is feeling hurt because of her unseriousness.
It’s not a little known fact that Nigeria’s 30,000 Naira minimum wage sits at less than $100 (50,000 Naira) per month. Acccording to Nairametrics, it was revealed that due to the global pandemic, many many Nigerians have no emergency savings. The savings Deposit rate has dropped from 4% to 1.6% in the span of a few years. 40.1 percent of population in Nigeria lives in poverty. 4 out of every 10 people in Nigeria live in poverty (less than $1 (500 Naira) per day) and that’s roughly around 85 million people. This statistics was even before the global pandemic and things have become worse. Narrowed down by states, we have Sokoto and Taraba as the highest rate of poor people in the country where it’s almost at 90% or 9 out of 10 people in poverty there…but I could go on and on and on. This video seeks to help shine the light on already existing principles and how to use them in day to day life and save while keeping costs down. I think you might find value in this. Here are some tips mentioned in the video:
1 - Cut Back on Unnecessary Spending
Adjusting your relationship to money and stop spending frivolously can really help. It really pays to be frugal and it doesn’t mean that you’ll deprive yourself of something valuable. Think of it like you’re paying your future self. You’re not looking to spend tomorrow’s money today because you can’t work forever. There’s a reason why we retire and that’s because we can’t keep doing the same thing till we’re 50, so it’s better to take advantage of that now and when it comes to the time where you can’t work anymore.
2 - Budgeting and Expense Tracking
Budgeting and expense tracking can reveal serious holes and leakages in people’s earnings. For many people, it’s difficult to account for their monthly income. Expense tracking at the end of the month right after you receive your account statement can be highly effective in helping you discover the things that you’re unnecessarily spending on and that you can cut back on.
3 - Saving in a High-Interest Savings Account
One way to stay happy with your finances is to save a very significant portion of your income. Most high savers save as high as 50% of their salary, for some, 30% is tolerable. However, saving can really help people out of a rut and have people set up for emergency purposes or even better, retirement in the long term.
4 - Investing in the Stock Market / Securities
A more advanced way of saving while growing one's money is investing in the stock market or buying shares of publicly traded companies. It can be highly risky but value investing has proven to yield successful results over the long run. This is a great way to hedge against inflation and also make passive income with consistency.
5 - Hack your Rent and Transportation
One of the advantages and also disadvantages of living in Nigeria is the fact that we have to pay the rent yearly, instead of monthly. It’s good because now you don’t have to worry about a monthly bill coming your way for where you live, you only need to worry about things like electricity and charges for services. You don’t have to worry about someone kicking you out. However, that’s also another very bad thing because it’s become so expensive now. You have to cough up almost 500,000 to millions of Naira all at once because you want to rent somewhere. This kind of makes the barrier to living by yourself high.
Anyway, another way to even save way more is by living with a roommate or housemate. If you’re living on your own you should consider a smaller real estate if you need more space, consider living with someone you can trust.
Transportation too is another thing. If you can, you should carpool with your friends on your way to work or school and split uber fares. Again, if you’re young no one cares with your mode of transportation is. As far as you can get to where you’re going, that’s really what matters.
6 - Investing in yourself
It doesn’t directly correlate to saving money but investing money in things that would build up your knowledge base and your skill is unrivalled in creating true wealth.
What are your tips for saving, growing and investing money as a Nigerian?
pls, enlighten me on NO 4 with relevant examples of company one can buy shares. Thanks
