Nothing is happening. I was speaking to my friend whos a bank manager and he's telling me he travelled to another state right now. I thought he has been transferred he just told me no, that he went to enjoy weekend + sit-at-home, saying he will go back to his state of work by Monday evening.

So, nothing is happening. IPOB have told people to stop sitting at home for their leader Nnamdi Kanu but it seems people prefer to do it on their own now.

Persons alleged to be operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the militant arm of the separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have written to Ukwulu Community in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State, warning them of plans to attack the community.

Indigenes of the community, according to a source, woke up on Sunday morning to a notice pasted on a part of the community, warning them of not adhering to the sit-at-home exercise declared by the group.

A notice pasted on a part of the community, by persons alleged to be ESN operatives, read: “Respect yourself Ukwulu about sit-at-home, to avoid crying had I known. We are watching you since, and you people are disobeying us because of dead Nigeria.

“From Monday upwards, disobey us again and have yourself (sic) blamed. ESN is coming for you.”

Our source said the notice has sent jitters up the spine of residents of the area, but the state police command has also responded by deploying huge security to the community.

DSP Toochukwu Ikenganyia, the Anambra State Police Command’s image maker said: “The Commissioner of Police, CP Encheng Eworo, has deployed police reinforcement team to Ukwulu Community, and urges the residents to help the police with credible information aimed at identifying the bad elements among them.

“The CP calls for calm while thanking the members of the public and the community for prompt circulation and calling the attention of the Police and other security agencies.”

Ikenga said the command has beamed its searchlight on the community and that the situation was being watched.

You are funny. As a Nigerian, we are in a battle of the poltiical class versus the masses. If you don't belong to the poltiical class, just know that you are suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

That said, the DSS needs to produce Nnamdi Kanu in court. How come someone be in their custody and they refused to bring him in court for the proceedings to continue? Is this not a signal that the department has an ulterior motive?

You need to follow up and try to read in between lines before commenting. Most of the states in the North East are been controlled by Bandits. Borno state now have two governors; one fulanis and one civilian. In Niger state, you give out your daughter's hand in marriage at the age of 12years. Zamfara, katsina, Kaduna are not exceptional.

Wendell Simlin: American woman accuses Reno Omokri of identity theft

An American woman has accused President Goodluck Jonathan’s special assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, of impersonation and identity theft.

She explained that she is married to Mr. Omokri’s brother-in-law and that the president’s aide exploited the relationship to perpetrate forgery.

“I am the true Wendell Simlin’s mother here in the States. Appalled to find out my son has been a victim of identity theft, judging from the articles I recently read in your newspaper. Reno met my son after I married his wife’s brother,” she said in an email.

“There are pictures on my facebook of Reno’s wife, kids and my ex-husband Godwin Melle. He is Reno’s wife’s brother.”

Mr. Omokri, who was based in the United States before coming to Nigeria to work for Mr. Jonathan, may be soon be facing criminal charges as Ms.Campbell has promised to involve U.S. authorities if her son’s name is not cleared.

But a handful of digital activists who obtained the email say it was actually written by one of the president's aides, after they found his name in a Word document attached. Reno Omokri - social media advisor to President Goodluck Jonathan - is listed as its author in the document properties.

"We just did a simple right click on the document and looked at the 'properties'," says Feyi Fawehinmi, one of the team who carried out the investigation. They also contacted a newspaper to cross reference the email with previous messages sent from Omokri himself, and the metadata seems to be a perfect match, they say.
