Clicking on your own advert is no, no. They can ban you and your domains for life if you're caught. And you even quoted the domain names here.

If it's the .com you own, just tell him, type-in traffic comes
more from it and searchers are wont to type the .com
extension rather than the other extensions.

Also make him to understand that he is fencing out every
competitor from his business by using different superior domains
to gain search engine listing or redirect to his money site.

NO! It is simple but not easy. read, study, analyze and come up with unique strategy to scout for money domains.domains that will continue to sell include geo, product/service, keyword, brandable, trending, just to mention a few. i've been domaining over a decade, so i know what i'm saying.

No! Penalized domain is a big issue in domaining except you are selling
to an ignorant online business owner. Like someone has said above, it
can be solved but with stress and trouble going back and forth with
Google to remove the penalty.

Checking domains for penalty can easily be done with paid tools. This
is why you see smart internet marketers selling filtered and researched
expired domain names to other internet marketers especially those who
use them for private blog networks (PBN).
