Miner13: I guess this is only happening in the east and south-south
I have not seen this before, beside is it after it has cool down or when hot?
Cc: ideyhere coogar taryour
Explain it After it cools down considerably. From what I know, if you stomp when the fruits are still too hot, the resulting oil will be too watery and cannot be comfortably separated...so you see, there's really something behind that job |

Vick4rill: indirectly denying it again. The question is for village girls madam I'm not denying it...just saying it as it is. The jobs you do don't make you a village girl...its your mentality that does. So if it will make you better, I am a village girl...and I've been stomping palm fruit all my life. |

Shollypopzz: I understand why people stomp on grapes but why would anyone stomp on palm nuts?? I know for a fact that one's feet cannot achieve the result in that picture, palm nuts are hard.
So, what is the purpose of the feet?? Does it make the already pounded palm nuts smoother?? The process is something you can only understand by experiencing it...and when you do experience it, you'll find out that it doesn't hurt the feet and most importantly, you don't pound before stomping...the feet achieve that effect in just about 30 minutes or less (depending on your skill) |

Nawa to some girls sha... Okay na me be village girl number one...I did it Stomping palm fruit doesn't reduce who you are. For one, it actually make your feet neater than any feet treatment ever could. It's a very enjoyable form of exercise (dancing)...and you end up producing something worthwhile (palm oil). The few times I did it at the villa,I actually had to beg to be allowed to do it...and believe you me, I don't regret it one bit... |

The question isn't if ladies can do it... The million dollar question should be 'guys what would you do if a lady did this to you?' And you would be surprised how myopically most Nigerian guys think *no offence intended to the guys* |

RedBenson: I cant just fit stop laff abeg. So so true. Nigerians are naturally very funny...making fun of almost everything. Be it serious or not. I don't think it's about Nigerians being naturally funny. I believe its more about us trying to use every medium possible to ease the whole tension that surrounds our everyday lives as black, Africans, and more importantly, Nigerians. We all know that if you follow Nigeria's happenings with too much seriousness, you won't live to see the next day..so we just LAUGH IT OFF |
