PoliticsRe: Akala And Daniel Received A Hero's Welcome In Court by ideylaff: 9:34am On Oct 14, 2011
I live very close to the court where Akala was arraigned. You should have seen the number of supporters that came out to hail this man. There were so many cars around that area that people found it hard to park. My conclusion, NIGERIANS ARE THE REASON WHY NIGERIA IS THE WAY IT IS, NOT POLITICIANS.
Imagine the damaging impact booing this politicians will have. Imagine if they we stoned instead of hailed them. This would discourage other politicians from stealing.

Instead we hail them. They walk into our court rooms smiling. Then we go home and complain about electricity, water, roads, security, etc.
@ mostojr,  u have said it nicely, God bless you for that.

The people get the leaders they deserve,  Followership and Leadership go hand in hand, How can a Court arraignment become a festival, of affluence,  decorum has eroded the society in full and Poverty has blinded the sound minds left except for a few ones,

Can you just hear/see what someone just said /posted,below sad embarassed

The PDP performed, but the south-westerners decided to vote for the opposition. Are you telling me that former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala did not perform in Oyo State? He performed; he did roads; there was no armed robbery in his time; there was law and order; he was very good with the cultural and institutional organisation; he repaired Mapo and Atiba Halls; he repaired virtually all the roads. What else do you want? But it is unfortunate that he is from a place where the voting population is about 240,000 as against a place where the voting population is about 1.6million. He even said it that he should not be judged by his place of birth, but the voters didn't see it that way.

What will Fela Durotoye do, blow grammar, and drop a few fake positives in them, if you don't have it in you you don't have it, one needs to do away with all these money making suit wearing small boys parading themselves as motivational speakers

While fielding questions from journalists from both countries at a joint press conference at the Urugwiro Village, Rwandan Presidential Villa, Jonathan decried the antics of politicians who seemed to enjoy criticising every action of government no matter how genuine and reiterated to Nigerians that the action was in the best interest of the country – to save cost.
He said neither MEND nor any group could have cowed the government to take that decision as it was long concluded even before the independence anniversary.

The president also assured that Nigeria was indeed a safe haven for investors having witnessed the visits of important dignitaries like Bill Gates who walked around freely without fear. “It’s good that you ask this question because I read some stories in the media and Nigeria is a big country; we have over 60 political parties though some were deregistered after the elections. And in a political dispensation when you are playing party politics anything done by the ruling party is always politicised. If you go to the left people will ask, why did you go to the left and if you go to the right, people will ask, why did you go to the right; if you stay at the center they will still question you. That is what happened so things are always distorted.

“Only upper Tuesday I received Bill Gates, if not the richest one of the richest people in the world in Nigeria. So if Bill Gates could come to Nigeria and move freely that tells you Nigeria is safe. It’s a very wrong notion that is being painted that we celebrated our independence anniversary in the State House. We did not celebrate in the State House, we had a low key celebration. And no country, you are journalists, you can tell me, no country that celebrates their national day every year. Even an individual from the age of 40 and above if you celebrate your birthday every year nobody comes again, nobody values it.

PoliticsRe: Cut Down A Tree In Lagos And Be Jailed - Tunji Bello by ideylaff: 5:46pm On Oct 05, 2011
This discussion has gone on too long. In a nutshell, nobody should be above the law. Simple.
TRUE, Lets see a few of them in Jail 1st,

Law makers/enforcers are the breakers themselves, if you really want to be frank with yourself

Here is a good example, Don't close the road for a party, yet the big men will close the road, blow siren and use MOPOL as much as they want even outside the rules of employment.

another one is Spray money/Naira and go to Jail, have u seen any big man bn arrested @ a Party

My issue is not with the act bro, ekt_bear, at all ooooo , In fact its a good rule to enforce,

all i said was for Tunji Bello to come out and say Jail sentence for cutting down a tree, is like WOW,

and all of a sudden ds man called eko ile comes out of his control centre in Yaba abusing people all over the place,

who does he think he his,

All I said was Tunji was a Dunce to say that, please tell me is @eko ile Tunji Bello.loud speaker or Special assistant, ?

So what is his own wahala dia, huh

Seriously we really need to help @ eko ile oooo b4 he enters Lagos Ibadan express way oo or Apapa Oshodi.freeway oooo with his aggression, and uncouth ways on NL ooooo,

Guys you better leave @ eko ile alone , he just happens to have a keyboard and a mouse but in reality, his level of saneness is next to nothing

Yaba Left is waiting 4 people like him if he does not change the way he speaks,

sorry I have had to say this but it beggars beyond my belief and understanding that you could say this 2 a fellow on NL

"@ eko ile says Your father and mother made a terrible mistake for not aborting a future law breaker and jail bird like you, even your father was dumb and idiotic for not pulling out, now the society is saddled with the sad consequences of his dumb and unfortunate action by busting inside your mother."
@ eko ile, are you 4 real, or you are just a loose cannon with no hold backs,

We will keep praying 4 u,

Whats with the Okoya pics, Mr Robin hood, so cos some people don't call the press or go to CNN, and BBC when they do their own philanthropic donations, Okoya is now the don , 4 u,

Why do you keep typing up these rubbish? All we ask you to do is obey the law and don't destroy tax payers propert. This is simple English you id.iot.

And like I said, I hope some small boy out there abuse your father while doing his job.

I know its to hard for bush people like you to function in a lawful society, just stay in you village and feel comfortable with your primitive village life.
Posted by: Eko Ile

Look at this I.diot. They say don't destroy tax payers property and he's talking about something living on the village. I said if you can not function on a sane lawful society, take your ignorant a's's back to you village and cut down all the tree and abuse all your village. Are you re.tarded or you just can't read?
@ eko ile because all u do on here is abuse and fight you seem to 4get what you posted, you are the very one who mentioned the word village in the 1st place see above if you have eyes to see,

Back to the issue, I never backed anyone cutting down trees in any way shape or form if you care to read my posts instead of barking/bullying  All I said was the law was Draconian and dictatorial because the Government are the main culprits who cut down the most trees not the poor man on the street

tell me will they put Okoya in jail if he cuts down trees to expand his mansion or one big developer decides to build another so called mega city along the coastal line sad

No one is backing cutting down of trees all I said was to come out in a barbaric manner and say its jail sentence for cutting down a tree while they the Government cut down trees is double standards

I see you are back with your uncouth behaviour again. God will deliver you. You are surely an embarassment to NL with the kind of words you use on here.

Why type this ridiculous essay just to prove again that you are a cave man and anti social? You obviously can not function in a lawful society, stay in your primitive village and cut down all the trees and burn them.

Obviously, your parents gave you a lot of manners, they thought you how to abuse other people including your elders. I guess it's OK to call your father a dunce for doing his job.

I cant believe you  have the audacity to talk about manners. What manners do you have? manners to violate laws and the society? Manners to disrespect the authority just because you are too ignorant and razz to function in a lawful society?

I do hope you stay in your cave village for your own good.

Primitive clown,
Now you are getting better and your choice of words are subtel as well, very impressive @ eko ile keep it up.

Maybe I have not told you b4, that Fashola and I talk on the phone every other day and my NL are even a point of reference for him to keep his sanity

I have known him for years b4 his university days and we understand each other.

There is nothing I say on NL that I do not say to his face, he takes heed of the ones he thinks are right and also has a re think about the ones that are harsh

That is what friendship is all about. Yes he has many friends both on his iPhone WhatsApp and his BB but I can assure you I don't kiss his bum nor do I tell him what he always wants to hear, I tell it like it is.

Soon as I read what Tunji Bello said, I personally told the Guv, bro, wetin your commissioner dey yearn about jailing people we dey cut trees
he laughed and I concluded by saying you know Government actually cut more trees down than anybody in this entire state . "Charity begins @ home"

Don't think because u see people on NL we have no jobs and u can just come foul mouthed all the time.

I repeat I am very impressed with your choice of words this time which was less abusive and you got your message across nicely. Keep it up, seek help if you need to as well

Tunji Bello is not my Egbon ooo, in fact I'm older than him and if I see him with the Governor one of these days, I will say to him, what I feel.

^^^^^

@ eko ile,  are you Tunji Bello's mouth piece or Fashola's loud speaker,  I never abused you, the only word i used was "dunce and that was towards Tunji Bello"

No one said I/we don't know the importance of trees, infact I have trees all over my place which I have instructed my workers soon as they are employed that "the are not to be cut down but only trimmed from time to time.

The bone of my post was why don't they face issues that are so pressing instead of going to one Rotary and one Lions club party and acting like the BIG BOSS with BIG WORDS "cut a tree down and go to jail" How many middle class people are cutting down trees on a daily basis. Also please show me the trees in the deprived areas of Lagos, where are they.

U see these people just fool people like you with some holier than thou speeches and get you jumping all over the place over nothing.

The Government are more culpable than anyone else in this issue of destroying the Green in the state

Please tell me how many middle class people cut tress on a weekly basis in your area and compare that to The Government themselves turning afforestation areas into residential areas + reclaiming coastal areas to build mega mansions for themselves and cronies all in the name of double standards

I wont give you the shine of the day to get abusive with you even though you over stepped your boundaries by bringing my parents in to this whole simple issue

Everyone knows on here that you lack manners, you are a sorry and a bitter man 24/7 of the days of your life. I just pity the people you cohabit with cos your choice of words and lingo in a simple discussion is appalling to say the least

You need to go to finishing school to learn how to speak and deal with people 1st b4 you rejoin a public domain or it will surely do you more harm as yo "YOU GROW UP IN LIFE.

@ eko ile please GROW UP FAST AND GET SOME GOOD MANNERISM WITH IT AS WELL. WE WILL KEEP ON PRAYING FOR YOU. YOU NEED IT WITH THE KIND OF RAGE AND ANGER YOU HAVE IN YOU

Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to reiterate the commitment of the present Administration to safeguard the trees in the State. In this regard, it is now an offence to cut a tree in Lagos State, and if the situation is so precarious that you have to cut one, you will obtain permission from the Ministry of Environment which will then ensure that you replace the one cut with 5 new trees. It might interest you to note that my Ministry has also commissioned a consultant to take an inventory of all trees in the State, their general names, botanical names, as well as their  usefulness which is to be stored into the Ministry System for Monitoring and replacement purposes.
