Most airheads in Nigeria hate to see their neighbors develop into world class environ or become better than them. There is a remote feeling among never-do-good Nigerians that Biafra could be a better country than Nigeria or any other country out of the shithole. |

Rossikk: I've no idea why you're bringing up Scotland. I don't give two shiits what they're doing in the UK or Scotland. Neither do other Nigerians. Rest assured the Nigerian govt will not be looking to London for guidance when time comes to deport the secessionists in their millions to their landlocked tribal republic . How did you arrive to the silly conclusion that what would become Biafra must be landlocked and tribally oriented? You are not good for Nigeria. Your stream of thought is at best, silly. |
Politics › Re: Secessionists Are Noisemakers Who Don't Really Want To Leave Nigeria. by Idiko1: 5:41pm On Mar 09, 2021 |
Rossikk: How can you claim to be secessionists when your people are settled across the country in tens of millions, more than any other ethnic group by a mile?
If you were really secessionists, you would have left those places and returned home to Igboland.
So why the delay?
Why must you wait for someone in Abuja to declare Nigeria is finished when you can vote with your feet, and put your money where your mouths are?
I've never seen a people whose actions are so radically different from their utterances. How does the place of abode for a person factor in his\her stream of thought to secede? If this rubbish flows out of your coordinated thinking faculty, it is safe to say you need to leave Nigeria because people with the same thinking ability have reduced Nigeria to a dilapidated mess. When the fight for independence of Nigeria raged, most people from the territory lived outside the delineated boundary of what became Nigeria. Name one country in the world where all the people who wanted any form of secession or separation lived or secluded in one part of the country. This line of thought contributes to the down fall of Nigeria. Never free-willing thinkers. If the Ndigbo want to leave Nigeria, I say so be it. The secession could open avenues toward opportunities which would have not ordinarily opened. |

I will never allow that spill over to domain of my interests while there's life. There are many tools in modern era to take down 1000 hefty men without breaking sweat
I swear it on my honour. I wish the minorities in northern region can say this crap about their Fulani neighbors. If Igbo had no weakness in containing itself within its domain, your ethnicity would never exist. It would have been wiped out. Igbo is the only large ethnic group in Africa that allowed its tiny neighbors to thrive. |

Jesus has already shed his blood for us. We don't need to shed any more blood.
Say no to war. It is good to have dialogue over issues that can be deliberated. It is unfortunate Africans can not see the benefit of dialogue on the issues such as secession. USSR readily comes to mind when civilized people are mentioned over secession. When it comes to secession, Nigerians are most uncivilized in the world. They equate secession to war. |

Politics › Re: Northern Christians, Wahhabism And The West by Idiko1: 4:45am On Mar 08, 2021 |
Elbinawi: Northern Christians, Wahhabism and the West
There is substantial Christian minority population in Northern Nigeria, more than 25 million. Christians are majority in 3 Northern states; Benue, Plateau and Taraba states. And large minority in Kogi, Nasarawa, Adamawa and Kaduna states.
With this large population they are equal to 4 states in the South East region. The neighboring Niger Republic is less than 25 million.
Northern Christians have 2 major problems; lack of unity and lack of progressive leadership. Tribal unity dominates the settings of Northern Christians. And most of their leaders are allied to the extremely wicked and corrupt Northern Oligarchy.
The bad Governance that is effecting Muslim-dominated states same with the Christian-dominated states of Northern Nigeria. The same disease of a failed system affecting everybody.
Northern Nigeria was peaceful devoid of religious crisis until the advent of Wahhabism in mid 70s. Wahhabis as usual became busy spreading Christian hate among the Muslim majority population. In the past in places like Kaduna state, Muslims and Christians lived together as neighbors but that is not the case today. Wahhabi hate mongering and acute intolerance at work. Prevalence of Wahhabism in any society is a threat to peace and peaceful coexistence.
Christians of the North East are facing existential threats from BokoHaram Wahhabi terrorists. Saudi-sponsored Murderous Wahhabi Terrorism is an existential threats to all Christians everywhere. All the abducted #ChibokGirls are Christians. Half of them are still in captivity for more than 6 years.
Yesterday A Nigerian Activist who is a Christian wrote about how US policy makers abandoned the Christian minorities of the Middle East. He wrote:
"The same way US policy makers and diplomats ignore the Christian population Iraq & Egypt, is the same way they ignore the Christian population of Northern Nigeria. But Nigeria's case is a bit different. Northern Nigeria's Christian population is quite significant."
And I replied him:
"Western imperialism is not equal to Christianity. The Western hegemons only uses Christianity when it suited their vested interest. The most important interest of the arrogant West is Wealth accumulation at all cost even if it means to invade a country & plunder it rich resources."
On a Final Note, the Muslim majority of Northern Nigeria should learn the tolerance and the bridge building activities by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky with our Christian Brothers and Sisters. The hate mongering of the bloodthirsty Wahhabis should be rejected. No society will develop and make progress with hate mongering, acute intolerance and murderous Terrorism which are the pillars of the evil ideology of Wahhabism.
Harun Elbinawi elbinawi@yahoo.com Elbinawi. I could have taken the above rant seriously but the bolded. The bolded proved the author lacked the demographic knowledge of Nigeria therefore goofy in substance. How could mere Christian minority in northern region equal to the population of 4 states in the so-called "South East region" when the population of the 5 states from the southeastern region is competing with entire northern region for the record? The bulk of Igbo population which had made mark as the second largest population in Nigeria came from the 4 to 5 states in southeastern region. |

ZKOSOSO: Below is the kite being flown by the Federal Government on Restructuring... Is this True...??
Nigerian Economic Restructuring Bill 2021
[1] Nigeria will be made up of 42 states, with seven per each of her constituent geo-political zone. These shall be:
South-south [1] Bayelsa State - Yenagoa [2] Western Ijaw State - Patani [3] Rivers State - Port Harcourt [4] Cross River State - Calabar [5] Akwa Ibom State - Uyo [6] Edo State - Benin [7] Delta State - Warri Northeast [1] Mambilla State - Gashaka [2] Taraba State - Jalingo [3] Adamawa State - Yola [4] Borno State - Maiduguri [5] Yobe State - Damaturu [6] Bauchi State - Bauchi [7] Gombe State - Gombe
Southeast [1] Anioma State - Asaba [2] Orashi State - Omoku [3] Anambra State - Awka [4] Imo State - Owerri [5] Enugu State - Enugu [6] Abia State - Umuahia [7] Ebonyi State - Abakaliki North-Central [1] Abuja State - Abuja [2] Gurara State - Kafanchan [3] Benue State - Makurdi [4] Plateau State - Jos [5] Nasarawa State - Lafia [6] Kogi State - Lokoja [7] Niger State - Minna
Southwest [1] Kwara State - Ilorin [2] Oyo State - Ibadan [3] Ogun State - Abeokuta [4] Lagos State - Ikeja [5] Ondo - Akure [6] Ekiti - Ado-Ekiti [7] Osun - Oshogbo
Northwest [1] Sokoto State - Sokoto [2] Kebbi State - Birnin Kebbi [3] Kaduna State - Kaduna [4] Katsina State - Katsina [5] Kano State - Kano [6] Jigawa State - Dutse [7] Zamfara State - Gusua
[2] Each state will be responsible for creating and funding its local governments as it deems fit. Local governments will be funded internally by the charging of a local tax, which will be augmented by a state grant representing no more than 10% of TV [3] Over a 35 year period, we gradually migrate back to the 1957/58 revenue sharing formula agreed by our founding fathers at the Lancaster House Conferences in London under which the federating units will control all the resources within their domains and remit 50% to the centre
[4] Our federating units will keep 50% of all the revenue that they generate, put a further 20% into a central pot called the Excess Federation Account to which everyone can have access as the need arises, 10% will go into a geo-political zone account and the remaining 20% will go to into the Federation Account used to run the federal government
[5] With regards to all other resources, we shall move towards this immediately but in the case of oil and gas, the move will have to be gradual due to how dependent we have become on these two resources. A gradual migration shall take place over the next 35 years in this manner: 2000 - 13%, 2021 - 18%, 2023 - 20%, 2025 - 25%, 2030 - 30%, 2035 - 35%, 2040 - 40%, 2045 - 45%, 2050 - 50%
[6] Every one of our 42 states will be set a target of generating at least $2bn in export revenue. Any state government that attracts inward investment to the tune of $1bn, will get a corresponding grant from the federal government
[7] Any state that fails to generate as much revenue as it spends for two consecutive years as from 2020, will be subject to an immediate declaration of a state of emergency. It shall be administered centrally by the federal government until its books are balanced
[8] Every state must seek to generate at least 30% of its internal revenue from manufacturing and services, with a migration away from primary products to value added production
[9] Every state is free to create more local governments provided they meet the necessary criteria which includes holding a referendum and the fact that the local government area is self-sustaining. To be recognised as a local government area, basic facilities that must exist within the domain include 20 primary schools, five secondary schools, a local government headquarters, at least one vocational training college and at least one public health centre
[10] All local and state governments will as a matter of course award supply contracts to companies that manufacture products within Nigeria. Only as a last resort will companies that manufacture products abroad be granted government contracts.
#Copied The above post is completely idiotic. It shows the stream of thought of a typical African. Restructure is not about creation of additional states. The already 36 states are of no good use to Nigeria and Nigerians. The restructure must follow the recondition of economic infrastructure in Nigeria. To start the process of restructure, equitability has to be approached. Lagos and Abuja must be replicated in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions respectively. For Nigerians to feel belong to a country, the economic winds that blow in Lagos and Abuja must also blow in selected economic hubs of the regions other western and northern regions. If this cannot be met, it is safe to request the disintegration of Nigeria so that the emerging nation states can create their economic hubs without impediment from regions such as western or northern region of Nigeria. |
