Politics › Re: I Sincerely Apologize To Yoruba's People On Behalf Of My Igbo People by Idiko1: 9:40pm On Mar 06, 2021
Resurrection212:
My name is ifeanyi Jonathan. I was born and raised in orlu imo state...Before I go forward let me warn those Anambra internet rats that always talking trash on every issues that not matter to them. And again your inferiority complex is drastically affecting the rest of igbo.

An Anambra man think he more igbo than Abian man or Abaliki man. This mentality continue dominating among Anambra man which is very wrong. And that's why our region lack leadership.

Yesterday on my way to work the bus I entered have some Yoruba people on board I met these guys discussion national issues they said many things about Tinubu presidential ambition this is Where i know Yoruba people love Tinubu and if the man decided to contest in 2023 he might win the election. Upon talking many things I just maintain my silent.

It got to a stage where one among them started talking about shahasa riot the guy started praising his fellow Yoruba people for stood against Hausa impunity in Yoruba land. Another guy started talking that they don't need Hausa people again that Hausa and fulani should vacate the region the other one said including igbo too as well.

The guy started talking that he was surprised to see igbo people Laughing at Yoruba for fulani laid siege on the region and igbo Mocking them because Hausa people stopped supply foods to the region.

That statement got my attention i told him igbo can't support Hausa over Yoruba people I asked him to tell me where he see igbo support Hausa. The guy said i should go to. Nairaland and see what igbo spewing there...I just keep quite pretending as if I don't know Nairaland because truly I am seeing what my fellow igbo are doing here. But I was able to Convinced the guy that he shouldn't use what he seen on Nairaland to justify igbo hatred against Yoruba people.

Today I want to appeal to Yoruba's people to continue their good deeds irrespective of what is going on Yoruba people are the most tolerant and accommodator in Nigeria. The most uunique, intelligent and dynamic tribe.
The apology you referenced in this post is useless and wasted one. You should have posited if their forbearers did not take up arms and joined Hausa and Fulani in a war of attrition against Ndigbo and Biafrans. The imaginary Igbo hatred, if any, against Yoruba has not gone half way the type of hatred the Yoruba have exhibited against Ndigbo. What hatred can equate the instance of picking up AK-47 and went to war against certain people?

I'm a Middle belt man from Idoma, but I'll say this with every sense of honesty that the day Igbos and yorubas will leave aside their sociopolitical issues and history bad-blood and UNITE for one common cause... that will be the day the Fulani hegemony will be shattered forever. These two nations (Igbo and Yoruba) are the most dominant, Brillant, and successful ethnic groups in Nigeria and their imprints/influence whether positively or negatively are felt all over Africa and beyond. The most successful entertainers making Nigeria proud in music, movies, boxing, football etc are mostly from these two tribes... the most Brillant technocrats, academicians, global icons etc that from Nigeria are 9 out 10 most likely to be either Igbos or Yorubas. I stay in the USA where I school, and the best graduating students of Nigerian origin in majority of the top Ivy league schools are predominantly Yorubas and Igbos then other Southerners in that order...why can't these two proud, accomplished yet arrogant tribes put aside their issues and just unite against the tyranny of the uneducated North? we Middle belt people look up to you guys to do the needful and change the history of this useless country cause we are suffering badly... but it seems we may never see an alliance between the East and West... which is very unfortunate cause you are the only saving grace we need to either wrest power from the grip of the power-drunk North, or break up this unworkable union once and for all.
The so-called people from middle belt of Nigeria dropped the political ball every turn of Nigerian political progression. One of the reasons that instigated the January 15, 1966 coup was the action of NPC against UMBC especially in 1964 riot. Few of the military officers from middle belt who were killed in the coup primarily because of their actions during the riot. However when the shooting war erupted due in part because of the coup, the people form Middle Belt joined and formed the main bulk of Nigerian army. In addition, J. S. Tarka was recruited by Mobile company to tour USA and campaigned for Nigerian war effort. J.S. Tarka had the temerity to tell the US audience the crude oil came from the lands of his ethnic nationality.

Who wants to deal with paid political agents such as the state governors in Nigeria? The two biggest problems with Nigerians are tribalism and insincerity. I guess tribal tendencies lead to acts of insincerity among Nigerians. The presence of ESN has opened the fool's eyes in Nigeria.

Adaka Boro and his Ijaw turncoats were soldiers only on Excravos, Midwestern region which served as training depot and seaborne launch pad for 3MCDO and while on NNS Lokoja. The jackasses ceased to be fighting unit the moment they were exposed to Biafran gun fire.

If you read about the civil war, well, people like Ojukwu never wrote a book because he too ashamed to admit he lost the war to fishermen after all his training in Oxford and all the finest military school the United Kingdom could offer.

This time around it will be so great because operation OAU will be trending on live feeds.

If Igala people permit you can manage Anambra and Enugu, otherwise you will sent to holy land as human shield against Hamas. There would be no need to even waste resources to ship you out. The Igala I believe, will hand you over to the shuwa Arabs or Tuaregs who would take you on a caravan through the Sahara till you get to West bank.

Confused stateless beings!
Anybody with stream of thought expressed in the bolded should not make Biafra. Biafra can never become Nigeria which is a basket of fools. Even though Biafra lost the war to Nigeria and its allies, there was no drunken fisherman who commanded a division of Nigerian army during the debacle. Good a thing you have, at least, admitted Ijaw fought the war on side of Fulani Caliphate and its slave foot soldiers.

You are not the people of God. If is based on behaviour one would say the Igbo and their Fulani friends are sons of satan but every human is a child of God. There are only obedient and disobedient people, nothing more.

There is no place oil is being produced in the world where oil spills do occur. The primary difference is that Nigeria doesn't do things that limit the chances of oil spilling and when it spills they don't clean it.

Confused Igbo thieves when it is spillage you remember they are Ijaw and Ogoni. Time to share money or claim land you will lie that the people are Igbo.

It is the Igbo that reaping what they sowed. Today all your so-called leaders beg and bribe people in Abuja, Kaduna or Lagos because their lives depend on it.

Before the Igbo were being begged by the Fulani but today Igbo eat Fulani shit. Going as begging to kill and rape their Igbo kith and kin.

You Igbos went against the Northerners that treated you well and brought the Fulani the North has been trying to contain.

After all your crimes you now want to claim God!

Even Orji Uzor Kalu the Fulani locked up is still going all over Southern Nigeria, preaching the "benefits " of Fulani bondage.

Our land is fertile and that why every Nkechi, Chinedu, Emeka etc is looking for every flimsy excuse to attach themselves to our land.
Shut the hell up. Which land belongs to Ijaw? When did the creeks become land? I visited Yenagoa in the 70s and it was mere swamp. A person has to paddle a canoe to visit his\her neighbor. I helped mom at the Waterside market along Wharf Road in the 70s where we exchange bags of gari for baskets of smoked fish and tins of Akamere.

Why do most Nigerians dwell in nonsensical conjectures? Where was it written that the position of Chief of Defense Staff is ceremonial? The government skipped the rank of Lieutenant General to avoid any doubt who is the boss. As a general and with military parlance, he, Gen Irabor can give order to his subordinates, including the service chiefs, and expect them to obey the order as their superior.

Lyrics269:
Most people are complaining that nigeria should be divided and shared but they actually don't know the meaning of what they are saying.

1. Formations of country are not based on ethnic groups and religion alone.

2. If the so called saviours like Nnamdi Kanu promising paradise were smart as they claimed, they should start the employment, development now for everyone to see what they are capable of. most of them have no profitable investment in a region they plan to develop.

3. The new nation will still look like Nigeria

4. They will be still be corrupt politicians and thieves.

5. There will be lack of fund, resources and the nation will be vulnerable to any attack.

6. A Nation can not change to a paradise over night, it take years. America of today was formed 17th century.

Remember: the Devil you know is better than the Angel you don't know.
On subject #1, you are correct about a country.

Subject #2 is just a figment of delusional imagination. Nigeria is not made for everybody as do many countries in world. There are those who believed what Nnamdi Kanu spouts and have established in Nigeria.

On subject #3, you have been fooled not to realize the difference between nation and country. Any emerging nation state out of disintegrated Nigeria will be better than the country known as Nigeria. Again, Nigeria is not a nation.

Subject #4 and #5 are mere silly conjectures.

On subject #6, you seemed to have gone to sleep as you did with denotation of nation and country. Those agitating for homeland are not bent to see a paradise at the end as you have wrongly insinuated. They just want to create a nation state that will produce growth within 50 years unlike Nigeria.

Crime › Re: Police Arrest Family Of 7 Who Specializes In Kidnapping In Ogun by Idiko1: 2:29am On Mar 06, 2021
[quote author=wwwihy post=99636708]The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police on Friday paraded a seven man syndicate that specialized in kidnapping in Sagamu area of the state.

Parading the suspect in Sagamu, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the kidnap syndicate made up of members of the same family. According to Oyeyemi, five of the syndicate, Oweniwe Okpara and three of his children namely; Samson Okpara, Bright Okpara and Eze Okpara as well as one Christian Ishaha and Emmanuel Joseph were arrested in Sagamu, while three others of his children; Godwin Okpara, Godspower Okpara and Mathew Okpara were arrested in Delta State. The father, Okpara was said to have been a farmer on farmland at the Aiyepe-Ijebu road which was being used as the kidnapping ground where the trio of Godwin, Godspower and Mathew, who were the armed squad of the syndicate usually dumped their victims.

Oyeyemi appreciated the cooperation of the Sagamu security operatives under the Palace of the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi for supporting the police in the efforts at arresting the kidnapping syndicate. Oyeyemi said, “In compliance with the CP’s directive, the DPO of Sagamu division CSP Okiki Agunbiade and his crack detectives with the support of Sagamu security council under Akarigbo of Remo land embarked on intelligence and technical based investigation, which led to the arrest of one Oweniwe Okpara from Delta state and three of his children namely; Samson Okpara, Bright Okpara and Eze Okpara as well as one Christian Ishaha who accommodated them.

“They were all arrested in Ajaka area of Sagamu for their roles in the kidnap of 8 persons at different times in Sagamu and other areas. “In the course of investigation, it was discovered that three other members of the family constituting the criminal gang namely; Godwin Okpara, Godspower Okpara and Mathew Okpara are the armed squad of the syndicate, while Samson, Bright and Eze Okpara were the one spying on their targeted victims.

“One Emmanuel Joseph, a native of Ebele in Edo State was later recruited into the fold, having confronted their sister, Eze Okpara to tell him the source of money they used to count every day. They subsequently opened up to him that they are into kidnapping business and he also joined them. “Having heard about the arrest of their father and their three siblings, Godwin, Godspower and Mathew Okpara took to flight and ran to Delta state with their operational car and their arms where they were subsequently apprehended by the Delta state police command after carrying out another kidnapping there”. “Their camp located at a forest in Ayepe-Ijebu where their father used to farm before converting it to a camp was located by policemen led by the DPO Sagamu and subsequently destroyed. Items recovered at the camp include; three expended cartridges, cooking gas, tarpaulin, cooking utensils, women bags and twine.”

Politics › Re: Buhari: Nigeria’s Unity Is Non-Negotiable by Idiko1: 8:43pm On Mar 04, 2021
Kwanza:
President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his conviction in the indivisibility of Nigeria.

He reaffirmed the country’s unity is non-negotiable.

The President restated his conviction to Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello on Thursday during a visit to brief him of progress so far made in resolving the north/south food blockage crisis.

The Governor, who called on Buhari in the company of the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, also said the President also expressed concerns over the issue of insecurity in the country.

Governor Bello had been at the forefront of efforts to resolve the ethnic misunderstanding between northern traders, under the aegis of Amalgamated Union of Food and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AFUCDN) and their southwestern compatriots, which led to a blockade of food items and livestock from entering the south.

However, the Governor, as well as other notable Nigerians, including former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, negotiated a truce on Wednesday, leading to restoration of movement of food and livestock to the south.

According to him, while reacting to the agreement and the peace process, Buhari had commended the efforts put into reaching peace.

“Mr. President expressed concern over the insecurity in the land. As the commander in chief, he has assured everyone of us based on his security meeting yesterday, that Nigeria is going to be secured, safe and prosperous and I believe in him 100 percent.

“He urged everyone of us to continue to go about our lawful businesses in the country, that Nigeria’s unity is not negotiable, that Nigeria must be united, peaceful and that Nigeria must be prosperous,” he said.

He waived off insinuations that he got involved in the peace process just to build a profile for himself against the 2023 presidential election, as he has been said to have mounted his campaigns for the purpose.

He said his intentions and reasons were genuine, adding he was in the peace process on the orders of the President to nip a potentially dangerous situation in the bud and save the country from an unimaginable consequence.

“I am not running away from the fact that numerous teaming youths, Nigerians, women, youths, leaders and followers, various groups are calling me to contest for the presidential election in 2023.

“That is their right, it is within their purview to ask for that or demand that I run as their representative in government today.

“But I have an assignment to carry out, the assignment of ensuring that my state is safe and secured.

“We’re doing that effectively by providing leadership in Kogi State. We’re taking Kogi State from where it used to be in the past, to a more united prosperous, safe and secured Kogi state.

“Today, they’re asking me to replicate the same in the national level that is within their rights. But to say that, when there is another call of an assignment from the Commander-in-Chief on me, to ensure that a little problem that can be solved, should not be allowed to snowball into a larger crisis that would put this country on unknown collision cause, I think I will never hesitate to take up that responsibility, and that I have done successfully to the glory of God and to the satisfaction of majority of Nigerian and Mr. President.”
