Politics › Re: How Davido's Uncle Lie Under Oath In INEC Form by Idiko1: 12:20pm On Mar 31, 2022
Okerenla:
Fact-Check: *Did Ademola Adeleke lie under oath* ?

The factional governornship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State for the July 16, 2022 election has been alleged to have committed perjury by swearing under oath. The allegation borders on his response to the questionnaire in the INEC form he submitted in 2018 when he was running for the same position.

In the INEC Form submitted by Ademola Adeleke in 2018, he was asked if he had acquired Citizenship of another Country? Ademola said NO.

_Please find attached the INEC Form under review_ .

Here is the question under Part B number 9 of the INEC Form: *Have you voluntary acquired citizenship of other country?*

His answer in the INEC form is *NO* .

*Investigation*

Meanwhile, investigation conducted indicates the ex-senator is a known citizen of the United States of America. He acquired the US citizenship *voluntarily* through Naturalisation.

Naturalisation is one of the voluntary ways of obtaining a citizenship of a country contrary to Involuntary method through Jus Sanguine ( becoming a citizen on the basis of Blood relationship) and Jus Soli ( becoming a citizen as a result of Place of birth).

*What does Nigeria law say about Perjury?*

According to the criminal code act, any person who, in any judicial proceeding, or for the purpose of instituting any judicial proceeding, knowingly gives false testimony touching any matter which is material to any question...intended to be raised in that proceeding, is guilty of an offence which is called PERJURY. Any person who commits perjury is liable to imprisonment for up to fourteen years, depending on the state where the offence is committed.

*Conclusion*

If a perjury case is instituted against Senator Ademola Adeleke in court and he is found guilty, he will not only be ineligible to become Osun Governor but will also be sent to jail, for up to 14 years, for the criminal offence.
When did electoral proceeding become judicial proceeding?

AN Akwa Ibom State Magistrates’ Court has ordered a 40-year-old man, Mr Idongest Idiok, to be remanded in a correctional centre for publishing libel against Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Idiok, who used the profile name, Soundcraft Owo OBA, on Facebook, had, on March 16, 2022, published what was considered offensive and derogatory against the person of the governor by referring to him as a sex maniac.

The publication followed an incident at the Ibom Hall, Uyo, during the International Women’s Day celebration where the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Gloria Edet, was alleged to have claimed that she was the leader of women in the state in the presence of the wife of the governor, Mrs Martha Emmanuel.

The accused was said to have taken to his Facebook page and other social media platforms to abuse the governor.

According to the charge, the accused had, within the magisterial district in the Uyo metropolis, knowingly and intentionally made a social media publication via Facebook, knowing the same to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, insult, injury or ill-will against Governor Udom Emmanuel.

The alleged offence is punishable under Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015.

After listening to the application of the prosecuting counsel that jurisdiction in the matter of cybercrime, by virtue of Section 50 of the Act, was vested in the Federal High Court, Senior Magistrate Ini-fiok Isong ordered that the case file be forwarded to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice/arraignment of the accused before the appropriate court.

He further ordered that pending the DPP’s legal advice, the accused be remanded in custody of the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ikot Ekpene, for a period not exceeding 14 days.

The prosecution was led by Ibanga Inyang, while Uwem Umoh represented the accused person, and Samuel Ikpo led Pelumi Adegoke represented the governor.

The case was adjourned till April 4, 2022.

Why would the fool insinuate the wife of a governor or president is automatically the leader of women in the state or country? In civilized countries, the wives of elected people are not regarded as the leader of anybody. Leadership positions usually involve.

These are impressive articles. However, I know the propaganda from western world and its civilization are capable of making a believer out of a goat. It is very funny one of articles stated Israel traded 30 grams of tritium for 50 tons of South African uranium. If South Africa had any form of nuclear weapon, Apartheid regime would still stand today.

Bros, if you read my posts carefully, you would know I have no single feel for Ukraine. I dislike any group of people who tend to kick against spirit of self-determination of others. Ukraine is a culprit. By the way, it takes a huge nuclear site to produce minimal amount of enriched Uranium for weapon production. Please can you point out where such complex was/is situated in South Africa?
Politics › Re: Which Country Deserve To Be The "Giant Of Africa"? by Idiko1: 12:57pm On Mar 26, 2022

The answer is SOUTH AFRICA. The only African country that had Nuclear weapon. It got disbanded in 1989 two years before Apartheid ended

The reason for disbanding it is that the world can't trust a black man to have control of Nuclear weapons.

Imagine if the the nuclear weapons were still in South Africa during the xenophobia, all those Zulu promiscuous people would have dropped one on Zimbabwe by mistake
Please stop the propagation of fake news. Does the possession of nuclear weapon add any feather of importance to a country? South Africa does not have nuclear weapon. Europeans are not as foolish as Africans to leave a nuclear weapon where Africans can easily get to it. No serious thinking person can add North Korea as the giant of Asia. I do not think North Korea has nuclear weapon but sure demonstrate the ability to possess delivery vehicles.

President Zelensky has said he will not give up one inch of Ukraine territory for the price of peace

What this means is that Russia will be fighting an eternal war to make Ukraine landlocked

What people dont realise is that in 2014 when Putin took Crimea, there was an internal revolution within Ukraine that destabilized the country

However, since then, the country has stabilised under the democratically elected Zelensky. Ukraine now has Western support to continue this war to its logical conclusion while Russia now has global economic sanctions

Putin made a big mistake going into Ukraine
The bolded is pure imagination. The crisis which started in 2013 centered on the ouster of the pro-Russia president of Ukraine which led to the declaration of Self-Determination by ethnic Russians in Donetsk and Luhansk regions which is called Donbas region. Ukraine was still fighting the breakaway Republic of Donetsk and Luhansk when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. In fact, most Ukrainian forces were still fighting in Donbas region when they were holed up by the recent Russian invasion. I dislike any group which fights people who wanted Self-Determination. It is very ironic the same Ukraine which objected to the independent status of Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) now wants its own independent. I guess the world is full of hypocrisy.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi: Applying To Be Driver Of A Knocked-Out Car By Farooq Kperogi by Idiko1: 4:44am On Mar 26, 2022
powerfulguy:
I first took notice of former Anambra State governor Peter Obi when one of his videos trended on social media earlier this year.

In the video, he described Nigeria as a motionless car with a knocked-out engine. Instead of fitting the immobile car with a new engine, he said, we keep changing the drivers in a forlorn effort to get the car to move.

I thought it was the profoundest metaphor anyone has ever conjured up to explain Nigeria’s problems.

It’s interesting that Obi is now putting himself up as another prospective driver to move a motionless car with a knocked-out engine. Perhaps, he wants to be the driver who’ll tell us that we need to change the engine.

Professor Pat Utomi also told me sometime ago that during a public lecture, Obi was inspired by and cited the widely shared column I wrote on the nexus between political power and brain damage but that Obi wrongly attributed the column to Utomi, as several people have done.

Utomi said he corrected Obi that I was the author of the article titled “How Political Power Damages the Brain—and How to Reverse it,” which was first published in the Nigerian Tribune of July 27, 2019.

That the column inspired Obi, for me, signals that he recognizes the dangers of unchecked political power and sees merit in the article's suggestion that wielders of enormous political power ensconced in the alternate reality it inspires should periodically get out of the bubbles of power to feel the pulse of everyday people and have “toe-holders” in their inner circle who “can tell them uncomfortable truths without fear of consequences.”

This is not, by any means, an endorsement of Obi's presidential bid. It’s simply an acknowledgement that Nigeria has a virile option in him.

The bolded speaks volumes about mental capacity of the moronic writer. Peter Obi is putting himself up as prospective fixer of the motionless car with a knocked-out engine.
