PoliticsRe: A New Important Reason Why I Would Vote Buhari. by idnole4(m): 6:25pm On Mar 12, 2011
We can all still remember how obj single handedly selected and installed Yar'adua as his successor, and it suggests that a Nigerian president can play a huge role to decide who succeeds him. If this is the case, it means that Buhari is a big key towards a very bright future for Nigeria. The reason I said he is the big key is due to the fact that if he gets elected and exhausts his tenure as president, he would make sure that someone as honest and competent as he is will succeed him. And when his successor completes his tenure, he would also ensure that another honest leader emerges as president, and it goes on and on to make Nigeria have a dynasty of very good leaders.

In the case of Jonathan, he is not as honest as buhari, and wouldnt mind handing over to a crook at the end of his tenure. And when this happens, Nigeria will be doomed to have a dynasty of crooks as leaders going by the system of selection and installation of successors in Nigerian politics.

Vote wisely.
This has much to do with elite circulation in the Nigerian context.

Are we not tired of this god fatherism culture already
The context affects the outcome as much as the outcome cannot be separated from the context. It will take a long time to change that culture, as I know it has become a shared pattern of interaction among the elite class.

I await your reply once PHPN brings light back for the giant of Africa so you can charge your phone, GIANT OF AFRICA
I lived in a township close to Newcastle in South Africa for six weeks. I can tell you they shed lights there. I experienced it, ok. Not only that I also experienced water cut. Nigeria situation is worse, there is no doubt about that.

while Nigeria's Lagos and Abuja airports are not even worthy of a local airport; SA operates
I bet you do not know what you are saying grin. How many local South African local airports did you pass through? You only wanted to downgrade Nigeria completely eventhough S.A is more developed than Nigeria. What would you say of the local wing of MM?

PoliticsRe: South Africa Defies Nigeria On Nigerian Soil by idnole4(m): 11:52am On Mar 09, 2011
I said both Nigeria and South Africa have their pros and cons. No need to start arguing Nigeria is not a giant of Africa in reality knowing fully well that she's not.
In holistic term, yes. Even so I am proud to be a Nigerian. Its just a matter of time. SA had her independence in 1912, Nigeria in 1960. She had use cheap Black African labour in the process of her development, Nigeria never uses cheap labour. Nigeria has never enslave and accumulated wealth base on enslavement. One can explain the differences in the degree of development from this perspective.

Cape Town is the second most beautiful city in the world
As I said, still debatable. Are you saying cape town minus cape flats and langa wink

Is it the higher violation cases, free to carry gun without license, increase in HIV + or daily strike, lack of water and power supply in many rural areas, that makes SA better than Nigeria.
I was told i was delusional on my opinion, even UN still recognize Nigeria more than SA,take it or leave it.

you dont really know what u are saying in those bolded.
ITS ONLY ONE WHO HAS NEVER BEEN TO RSA THAT CAN CALL NIGERIA THE GIANT OF AFRICA, Nigeria is in no way a match for RSA
@ nfo, I should clarify. Nigeria and South Africa are not only the two countries in Africa, so most this, most that in Africa is also relative to all other countries in Africa. So, if I said 'most beautiful' is debatable, its not only limited to S.A and Nija, perhaps Mauritius is the most beautiful country in Africa perhaps not.

I said both Nigeria and South Africa have their pros and cons. No need to start arguing Nigeria is not a giant of Africa in reality knowing fully well that she's not.
PoliticsRe: South Africa Defies Nigeria On Nigerian Soil by idnole4(m): 10:26am On Mar 09, 2011
and so, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12610268

Nigeria is the most supportive country in Africa for overseas students, in an international league table, countless of other achievements. RSA has got better infrastructures in main cities, that is clear. The fact is rural SA is no better than a typical Nigerian village. I had seen it myself, I have been to a ZULU community around the boarder of Lesotho and I can emphatically say it is a completely rural underdevelop place just like any remote Nigerian village. Apart from being Africa's economy giant, all others such as most beautiful, most secure, most friendly are all debatable. So, I would say, RSA is good at marketing. Both nations have their pro and cons. Nigeria should learn to market herself in good light to the rest of the world.
PoliticsRe: South Africa Defies Nigeria On Nigerian Soil by idnole4(m): 1:54pm On Mar 07, 2011
I am saying Nigerians do not need to demonise Nigeria. I did not say Bimbo has done such by expressing her opinion about SA. So, like SA, Nigeria can portray herself whatever way she likes, and want people to see.
PoliticsRe: South Africa Defies Nigeria On Nigerian Soil by idnole4(m): 9:55am On Mar 07, 2011
Yes, Bimbo is right to voice her opinion. Shes right to say whatever she thinks SA is. Also, Nigeria as a nation can idealize itself as much as she likes. We can portray ourself the way we want, and let others see what we want them to see.

However, there is no need for Nigerians to demonise Nigeria. Nigeria has it problems, agreed. SA too has a lot of internal problems, its the only country in the world where I have seen someone been robbed of phone and her money in broad day-light and people passing by and saying "ha ha this is not good" not to say it happend at J'bourg park station. It would never had happen in any popular bus station in Nigeria. IMAO

What research are you carrying out? What relationship does the number of obas being a muslim has with creation of schools? You better set your questions right! The nation is already tense with religious issues. Dont come here to nuture religious fundamentalist, particulartly when it comes to the south west.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Prepare For Post-world Cup Xenophobia Threat by idnole4(m): 10:42am On Jul 09, 2010
The reality is we have a big population of illigal people in our country who commit crimes, and most of them lives in this poor communities where they can hide, although most of this criminals do crime else where and come and hide in this comunities, they sometimes steals from their neighbour, and in South Africa poor comunities they don't call the cops, they sort you out,mob justice.

Yea, I agreed some Nigerians deals in drug. However, I disagreed majority of illegal people in S.A commit crime. The most of these illegal migrants are those engaged in such activities like barbering and selling stuffs on road sides. Poor South African are lazy, they have little or no business acumen. They are the ones that commits most of these crimes. I once stayed for a month in a remote township in Newcastle, I know what I am talking about.

PoliticsRe: Ghana: Nigerians Must Go by idnole4(m): 2:27pm On Jul 04, 2010
The era of 'Ghana-must-go' has gone; I mean, it has gone into the dustbin of of history. Is it not that the unified Ecowas passport allow a Nigerian to live in any Ecowas country for 90days? The Ghanians should put there house in order, equip their police and develop their security systems rather than blaming foreigners for the increase in crime rate in their country,

PoliticsRe: Bankole Seeks OBJ's Help To Save Job by idnole4(m): 8:17am On Jul 02, 2010
there's nothing wrong for him prostrating, or even rolling on the ground for obj. obj is an 'old man'; and in yoruba culture a young male is expected to prostrate in greeting an elderly person, not even when the person is as old as his father. anyway, from another perspective, i would say it signifies patron-client relationship. bankole has to do this for obj to save his ass from being kicked. 'birds of a feather', they are!

so, what wont Nigerians have absorbed, if the white men told the discovery of river this, river that, to those communities living on the river bank, ever since my first history lesson, av been wondering how the white man would have discover a major river in my land. A river where my old old papas go to for fishing, we all know history is written in the interests of who ever the writer was.
