Politics / Certificate: Court Refuses Order To Probe Tinubu by Idrico(m): 11:10am On Jun 05, 2013 |
A Federal High Court, Lagos on Tuesday dismissed an application seeking an order to direct Inspector General of Police to investigate the Action Congress of Nigeria’s National Leader, Bola Tinubu, for false declaration of certificate. Dr. Adegbola Dominic, a medical doctor, had filed the application for judicial review, to open the allegation of false declaration of certificate levelled against Tinubu by the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN). Justice Saliu Saidu, in a ruling, dismissed the application on the grounds that the applicant failed to satisfy the mandatory requirement that such application must be filed within three months of the alleged fraudulent action was detected. Saidu ruled that the application did not meet the requirements as stipulated in Order 34 Rule 4 of the Federal High Court Civil Procedure Rule, the statue upon which the application was filed. He said the applicant “went to sleep” since 2007 when the immunity clause in the constitution could no longer shield Tinubu. According to him, the applicant suddenly came up to exercise his rights six years after the matter is statue barred. “There is need to comply with stipulated rules of the court. This matter is grossly out of time and prayer sought cannot be granted,” the judge held. The applicant had sought for the court order mandating/directing the Inspector General of Police to constitute a panel of the Nigeria Police Force to re-open the case, commence or take over and conclude the investigation of the criminal complaint. He said the alleged criminal false statement on oath and false declaration was initially lodged by the late Fawehinmi in 1999 and re-lodged by him against Tinubu. He had stated that the alleged false declaration was contained in the Independent National Electoral Commission Form F001 and affidavit concerning lost certificate allegedly sworn to by Tinubu during the election that gave him the governorship ticket. He stated in a 15-paragraph affidavit that Tinubu claimed to have attended St. Paul’s School, Aroloya, Lagos, which never existed. He also alleged that Tinubu had falsely claimed to have attended Government College, Ibadan, between 1965 and 1968, a claim which he said the authorities and Old Boys Association of Government College, Ibadan, had declared as false. Among other alleged falsehood contained in Tinubu’s INEC form also included claim by Tinubu that he attended Richard Daley college, Chicago, between 1969 and 1971 which he said Tinubu did not. He noted that it was a false claim by Tinubu that he (Tinubu) attended the University of Chicago in the US between 1972 and 1976 and obtained a B.Sc degree in Economics from the same university. ww.punchng.com/news/certificate-court-refuses-order-to-probe-tinubu/ |

Career / Re: HND Accountancy Vs BSc Accounting by Idrico(m): 8:43am On Jul 06, 2012 |
For me who have passed thru both polytechnics(OND and HND), got chartered before doing another 4 years at Unilag,I can tell you that the exposure and experience are different.HND holders are more determined to pass ICAN because they believe that is the only way they can match the university degree holders.Do note that approach toprofessional exams is totally different from academics. If you are not really determined you will find it very difficult to pass ICAN, because questions can be asked from anywhere in which the papers are linked to from foundation. Therefore,in terms of resilience,I give it to HND holders. But in terms of academic standard nothing is comparable to university education. |

For those of you displaying signs of early unbelievers during the time of prophets(Jesus,Muhammed,Moses,Abraham,Noah etc)>it is an indication that you will not believe in all these prophet of God if you were to be alive then.Do you all think that it is by mistake that God sent the boy to xtian home and he was born in a church?.If you like accepts or not accepts the true faith and allow devil and his agents(posing as muslims) to paint the picture of Islam as a violent religion in which we all know that the religion preach peace.Mohammed govern over xtians and did not persecute them.He stated that anybody that commit suicide or kill a soul unjustly will surely enter Hell fire.Look at where this baby was born(surulere,in Lagos)have you heard of any muslims killing or persecuting xtians?.Let us all reflects and know that we still have opportunity to accepts the true religion(Islam)before death comes. 2 Likes |

The promise of Allah is that the religion of Allah(Islam) will continue to grow no matter how satan try to deviate people's mind from the true teaching of Islam thru putting on muslim identity to potray islam as a religion of terrorist in order not to make people look into the teaching of Quran and making them save from the wrath of Almighty Allah on Judgement day.To haters of Islam, please pick a copy of Quran today and understand the true teaching of Islam.May Allah continue to guide us to the right path and not the path of those who have gone astray. |

Business / Re: UBA Minimum Account Balance Now N25,000 by Idrico(m): 11:31am On Jul 05, 2011 |
Minimum Account Balance: UBA to Migrate Customers to Other Platforms. Following the introduction of a minimum account balance of N25,000 by United Bank for Africa, customers whose accounts balances are below the minimum threshold and are not able to upgrade between July 1, 2011 to September 1, 2011 have the option of migrating to self-service channels provided by the bank. The migration of customers to self-service e-banking channels and mobile payment platform, U-Mo, is being done through the various business offices of UBA where the respective accounts are domiciled, in a simplified process, devoid of any hassles. These platforms provide customers much more convenience and access compared to brick and mortar based services. Commenting on the increase in the minimum balance Mr. Kennedy Uzoka, Executive Director, Resources said the initiative is based on Management’s continuous efforts to improve on customer service delivery in the bank. “This decision is motivated by our desire to serve our customers better. We want to significantly improve customer service and optimize our resources” he said. In the implementation of this new initiative, the bank is not unmindful of some of the inconveniences it would cause. According to Mr. Uzoka, “cheques drawn on all current accounts which will cause them go below the NGN25,000.00 minimum balance will be honored and an auto alert generated and sent to the affected customer’s mobile phone and email, with the information ‘the below NGN25,000 account balance” and an advise to regularize” United Bank for Africa (UBA) is a leading Pan African Bank with presence in 19 African countries, New York, London and Paris. Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria; UBA provides broad-based banking services to over seven (7) million customers across Africa. |

Olorun ari ejo da.For most of us failed to consider the poor. But every man of God should know that it will be difficult for a rich man to enter paradise as it will be difficult for Cammel to pass through the eye of a needle i.e if so many people could be satisfied with the huge amount spent on the building what excuse are they going to give to God for failing to channel these money to the less priviledge.most of our men of God do not copy the the lifestyle of Jesus Christ who live a noble life.May God Guide us right in this country. We claim that we fear God,we have many churches, but we dont love ourselves.Oh what a wasted life we are living in.They establish schools that poor people cannot attend, all the investment is meant to advance the interest of poor people.the most important word in the bible now is the word TITHE.Let me rest my case here. |
