Review in progress does not mean sure breakfast . I went through an old thread and those who got success mail did from Review in progress too. It's just that it's so competitive a lot will receive breakfast so people starts equating that status with sure breakfast.

Sir only Shell know what they want. They have sent younger applicants with strong 2:1 regret mails. Keep your hopes high, you are competing with 100s of thousands for only about 10 slot. Whatever the case i am sure you tried your best.

Not a flat rate. It will be a range, ofcourse you don't expect HR to be on the same amount of money as Engineering. There will be difference in pay depending on how technical/risky the position is

Shell have what they call degree matcher. They match the degrees to available positions. For example someone that studied political science will be considered for Human Resources and Downstream commercial for example. With Engineering being considered for upstream technical roles

The 20m/annum you earlier mentioned. I supposed it's differs for positions right? Or is it a flat rate for all Trainee including Upstream technical and Human resources?

Omo my mind just spoil as Expert_NLer gave the numbers that would be recruited . 99% wouldn't get this job and even if only one person from here gets it that in itself is a miracle, i celebrate with that person.

That's not true. There is no slot for recommendation from top Shell professionals as the recruitment is managed centrally in the HQ

Oh thanks for the clarification. While applying i think there was an optional space where they asked if we know anyone working in shell and their details. I thought that would have given people who know someone an edge over others. They was also a space which asked if we have worked or intern in shell before.

The truth is that the remuneration may even be close to Shell. However, in career, don't allow yourself to get trapped in one place for long.

I have seen my seniors spend over six years in a job role. It is not good in a CV. It is a sign of poor performance.

Additionally, Shell is a big brand. They employ the best of the best. With a career in Shell, you gain competitive edge over others in future job opportunities anywhere in the world.

I used to think like this many years ago but today I know better.

It does not change anything. God's willing, I secure this one, someone else will be recruited to take my previous job and the equation is balanced.

I just feel for a job that took in only 8 out of thousands, even less than what Shell is taking should have a fair remuneration at least. And even if you are planning on leaving it should be to experienced roles but you know what best suits you i guess. I pray you get it anyway so others here will have a chance on your previous job.

Maybe they didn't fail any part of the game, they are people like that . With the level of competition getting even one answer wrong can set you back.

When I tell people that some parts of USA are sometimes far hotter than Nigeria, they don't believe. Now look at UK at 40°c that Nigeria has never reached before

In Niger state i have experience 45, I swear to God that is the hottest of my life. Even fan was blowing hot air and they were no breeze. It was like the air stood still. Had to bath with well water like 5 times a day cause it's the only cold water then. Tap water was hot and even the well water if you keep it for 30 minute you go bath with hot water be that. Even that wasn't the hottest Nigeria has experience, Maiduguri and Yobe have gotten to 48 i think.

I personally don't think that anyone should be taught how to answer a personality test. It's about you describing yourself oh.

You can read about the company's work culture before hand, but it's best to just choose the level of agree/disagree that best describes you.

Don't be too extreme when taking that personally personality test o. Avoid too many strongly agree/disagree.

But it's a personality test nau. What of questions like "Are you trustworthy" you won't strongly agree? Job hunting self is tiring, if we are being too cautious of everything including personality test then whatever insight we get is fake. An hardcore extrovert would be getting insight akin to introverts and vice versa. If you get the job you might be placed in roles you don't match and will end up living a fake life the rest of your life, but the pay is worth it i guess .

In the guarantor form there's a part where they ask for cash, asset, bankers, bankers address etc. My Guarantor is perplexed at that section, is it really necessary and what do you advised should be filled there? I saw them, those are just personal transactions, i even saw one were PI was estimated at $1m and another at $3.5m. Regardless Pi at $314k would be worth more than every country GDP combined ($80 trillion). The entire crypto industry is about $1 trillion now. Not sure how feasible it would be if PI market cap is Quadrillions of dollars that the entire world doesn't even have on first launch.

Having PI at $1k is still very reasonable and even that would already be worth more than Bitcoin as they are roughly 30 billion Pi in circulation now.

Pick the one you feel you are the fastest in as the first three stages requires speed and accuracy. But take your time in the last stage as it's not Time based, just a personality test.
