We got the same amount but your monthly repayment schedule is much lower. Don't know whether it's because of different mfbs
Yes could be. Mine is uniformed up till 2027. Yours might progressively gets lower if it's still 5 years.

I sent the money since last week, 20k
Are you sure you are due? Check your loan schedule. Also your Microfinance bank might have different procedures, you might need to contact them.

Y was the first one 12k+ and the others 4900+?

And how much did you collect?
They gave an interest of 7k which they automatically debited so first is actually about 5k. I collected 250k. Will be paying back about 265k which is plus the 5%.

That's 4900 every month till 2027. You can just drop 20k in the account and forget it for 4 months.

Abeg I want to start repayment. I don't want GSI activated on my BVN. For this Baobab, is the account available in bank apps for transfer? It's just 5k per month it's fair. Plan to just transfer 20k there for 4 months make dem use am hold body.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Of This Job Should He Go For? by Idrismusty97(m): 9:56pm On Apr 30, 2023
FG job is the death of creativity especially if it's your sole income with no side hustle. If you have a solid side hustle and want time go for the lecturing job, if you want career progression with barely anytime for yourself or a side hustle then pick the private job.

Job security is a myth, anything can happen anywhere anytime. The best security is your skills or your side hustle. I have seen people who spent over two decades in a bank and some who couldn't last 5 years in a government job with nothing to show for it. Can't even get a private job with the FG job experience cause he was basically just warming bench all through the 5 years.

Career / Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by Idrismusty97(m): 10:50am On Apr 23, 2023
richmondefosa:

Everything I said is true.
Salary has even been increased again last march.

Some got as low as 16% Increase.

Also, Health insurance and Pension are no longer debited from your salary. Stanbic takes over and bears the cost of your HMO and pension remittance 100%

A few nairalanders joined my department this month. I was happy to receive and help them settle in seamlessly.

I have always and still maintain that Stanbic is an amazing place to work.

Many will never know this until they join and see things for themselves. That's why I'll always provide relevant information that is needed on this thread to guide people.

I am happy here.
I couldn't get in as a graduate trainee but i am still in a decent place. Hopefully i can get in as an experience hire someday, they really do care about their employees. I will appreciate if you can share experience hires roles too, thank you for your help.

Please I need to be advised urgently. I have heard from several people with some telling me it pays to be in the legal department as there will be no issue of targets or marketing while some, especially those in the banking industry, are of the opinion that it is far better to be in banking proper as one can build a solid career in banking and be easily promoted once one is efficient.
Most people are also of the opinion that lawyers in the legal department just do paper work..which is actually a fact as most if not all banks have external solicitors and that promotion is very slow and the highest one can get to is as head of the legal dept/company secretary which can take years as there are already people waiting in line and the ones occupying those positions in the various banks are not ready to relinquish that position. I am a very hardworking girl and very focused. I want to put my ability to use in such a way that it will be profitable and I can have a very very solid career either in law or banking.
Thank you.
All these head of this and that are just titles. In Banking the most important thing to be concerned about is the grade. That's ET , ABO, BO, SBO, AM etc. You can all be ETs in a bank while someone is Head of Customers services you may just be Team member but same salary. Highest he/she would have airtime allowance. Also you can be promoted but still a team member while that person at a lower grade is "Head of Something" or even Branch Manager. Don't take titles too serious in bank. I have seen a case of a lady who rejected a BM title for a higher grade in another bank. She is paid way more than the BM but as a subordinate. It depends on what your goals is in life, me personally don't care about titles. If promotion is slow in your bank, Move! You are not a tree.

Bank is sterling for those who may want more specifics.

Thanks!!
Sterling bank take home for an entry level graduate after banking school is 270k. An experienced project manager for a full time role shouldn't take home anything less than 300k+.

Salary should be aroun 168k to 170k.
Is this 170k for Conpass 08 BSC and are they other allowances to it?

1. He may have been an aide to one of the members of the governing board. The governing board actually meets periodically with the management of NERC....

Apart from some statutory approvals by the governing board, NERC is a stand alone body and no one interferes with their day to day activities including recruitments

2. However the presidency (i.e. Mr President or through ministry of Power) could give some express instructions from time to time over anything...maybe the guy is from Mr President

3. The National Assembly members have oversight responsibilities and they have such power to check the activities of NERC and may legislate to interfere at any point through the law creating NERC itself....maybe the guy is an aide to a ranking senator who heads a standing committee overseeing NERC

So one may not admit or dismiss his claims

You are giving him ideas.

Most of these people claiming insiders and interview participants are scammers u people should not listen to them.

They are looking for whom to scam.

If NERC has invited people for interview, it can not be a secret every body will definitely be aware.
100 people must have sent him DM by now.

All the searches you do online will just have slight differences but be within same range, even https://www.mysalaryscale.com/company/nigerian-electricity-regulatory-commission/salary which is seen as most genuine still gave within same range , and seems the vacant positions are in the Abuja office and even for the connected that might use slot those that live in Abuja and don't pay rent, have ride or free ride in the mornings, or living not too far from the office might be the ones that might be interested to take the offers.
This can't be the offer for just 150 vacancies and four years experience haba. Even Graduate trainees with 0 experience in most banks take home no less than 200k+. If that's the range many of us won't accept it.

After modification of Name on NIN, how many days does it takes to reflect on the tracking portal, were you given the reflective slip before going for capturing, NIN center said Friday, was told to come on Thursday for capturing......
Shouldn't be more than a week. The NIN center was close to the passport office, went on Tuesday and on Friday it was ready. It wouldn't immediately reflect on the tracking portal but when you proceed to capture it will match. First time it didn't match because of a mistake, that's why i had to change.

Good Day everyone,
Hope we are all doing great?
Compliments of the season!

I spoke with my Credible Source this night regarding updates on the ongoing NERC recruitment. Below are what he told me:

* Since the last test we had, no meeting has been convened to discuss anything further
* Just like other agencies and parastatals, NERC is currently on holiday
* Meeting will be held on 10th January 2023 purposively to discuss the next step of this recruitment process.

As long as we are still in, I will always update the house whenever there is new update.

Regards!
Don't expect anything January if they are just "discussing" on 10th cheesy. In fact forget February too because of election and throw March into it also. Just focus on what you are doing already or find something doing cause we are in for a long thing.
