just got the link..

What does this mean?

..you are to attempt all questions as accurately as possible as marks will be deducted for incorrect responses
No guessing. Answer as correctly as possible, anyone you don't know leave it or you risk getting even a lower score. I still haven't gotten a follow up mail though.

I happen to witness the incident, and I'd say both are at fault, there were just few cars bfr the soldier's bus which the police saw, it cost the police nothing to spare few minutes to allow the soldiers pass for sake of peace bfr stopping other cars, they might have been on orders and late coming is always punished in the military. And when they came down in rage to question the policemen, police men to were showing power and superiority hence reasons for the damages

The Soldiers were wrong to beat them and the Government also got greater blame for not fixing traffic light, in a saner clime the duty of Traffic Police is to ensure traffic light are obeyed strictly but this is 9ja
Is it at Ojo?

They are not interested in the travel history on the passport of the guarantor. Note the following:

1. The guarantor's passport must be valid (not expired)

2. Guarantor must give you photocopy of data page (page with photo, name, passport number, etc)

3. Guarantor must sign the guarantor's form

4. The physical presence of the guarantor is not needed

5. The guarantor must be 18 years and above

6. Of course, you can be your son's guarantor.
Good Morning, I just realized my Guarantor passport is expiring August 12 but my capturing date is before that. Is it still valid?

KINDLY GO THERE AND CONFIRM EVERYTHING IS IN ORDER WITH YOUR FILE BEFORE YOUR CAPTURE DATE.
Thank you, will do so.

Have you confirmed your NIN is validated?

It is Advisable to go before your capture date where you will interact and ask necessary questions .
Thank you i did my NIN since 2014 and have the premium slip since then. Been using the NIN for various registrations/applications without any issues so far. I don't really get what the validation means, thank you.

Hi guys!! So I was at Alausa today for capturing, team DIY!! (I'm super grateful for this thread. Helped me a lot!) I'd try as much as possible to give details of steps I took before today, the events that transpired today so you don't make minor mistakes like I did today.

See ehn, if you know you are DIY, just make sure all your documents are intact (id give a list of required documents), duly stamped, no NIN or name issue whatsoever and I can assure you, it will be hassle free.

I had made payment since November last year, got an appointment date last December (find below all you need on the homepage to DIY https://passport.immigration.gov.ng/) but missed the day, so this February, I went back to reschedule.

I made a reschedule two weeks ago around 10th February and was given a date, 10th March, but that was too far for me, so I went back to the dates and saw today, 25th February was free (I didn't know how I missed out on the date initially) so I rescheduled again for today, meanwhile you have only 3 appointment scheduling attempts. I had used 2 and the third reschedule date, which was today, was my last attempt. I sha used one mind (the if I perish, I perish mind) and picked today's date.

Immediately I got a date, I downloaded the appointment slip and saved on my phone. I used my phone for the entire application process until the printing stage. (I'd advise you download each document and save on the go).

Mine was a fresh passport application so the following are the documents I took along:
*Application page (shows you have made payment, contains the information you filled online etc)
*Payment receipt (download this and print this too after making payment successfully)
*Guarantor form (available online. Download, print, fill and sign accordingly. Attach your guarantor's passport photograph, then get court stamp. I'd advise you go to a court near you to stamp, I did mine at Alausa today and I paid 2k for it. *Sobs*) Attach your guarantor's intl passport biodata page to the stamped form. My guarantor's intl passport would be expiring April this year and it was a source of worry to me that I was even looking for another guarantor, but I took the risk and apparently, it could be used since it's still valid. I took my guarantor's NIN too but it wasn't requested for, but still take yours along o, the anointing I carry might be different from yours, lol cheesy
*2 passport photograph of yours (I ended up using 1 though. Also, avoid getting to alausa before doing passport. 8 copies there is 1k as opposed to where I did mine at 8 copies for 500 naira, well except if money no be problem for you sha grin)
*Birth certificate ( photocopy and original. Please, I beg you, carry the original along o, carry the original of all your supporting documents along with you to avoid stories that touch the oesophagus)
*State of origin certificate (photocopy and original)
*NIN (photocopy and original)
*Appointment slip
*On getting to Alausa, before you even enter at all (I didn't know this, the guy that did my court stamp was the one who hinted me) ask the woman making photocopy outside that you want to buy passport application form. It's a 3 page form sold for 300 naira. Fill accordingly and attach your passport photograph. This is also one of the documents you'd be submitting, so after filling, add it to the other documents listed above.
*Letter to the PCO (Passport Control Officer) this is a handwritten letter on an A4 paper. There's no particular format for it (I know cos I asked some officers). Just harness your secondary school formal letter writing skills and address it to the Passport control officer stating that you are applying for an intl passport. Finish.

Next thing, in the immigration compound enter inside the building right in front of you (me I saw plenty people outside the building, under the canopy and panicked cos I didn't even know what to do or where to go. I went to sit down with those outside first before I was able to ask few people questions and they directed me, so don't be like me). When you enter the building, there is an officer or officers to your right on a reception like table. They are servicom. Move to them and tell them what you came for. They would ask for the application form ( I was lost for some minutes cos apparently, I had two application forms. The one downloaded online and the 3 page one I bought. What they need is the one you downloaded online. Give it to the officer and sit right in front of them till they call your name. Me I didn't know I was supposed to wait in front of them, I still carried myself back outside under canopy to sit grin grin. It wasn't until I asked another person again and they said I should go back to meet the officer that I was in the wrong place. As soon as I got there, she called my name and gave me back the form. That's how God saved me o. Could have been a different story if I was a minute late)

After returning the form to you, they then ask for your documents both photocopy and original. Your fate is determined starting from here. Make sure you go on your date of appointment gangan, if not, you'd be dismissed and told to go reschedule. Also, your documents, photocopy and original will be vetted here. Know your guarantor's full names and relationship to you o. They'd ask you at this point.

If you scale through, your original documents will be returned to you and you'd be given a file containing the photocopy after which you fill a book with some of your information. You'd then go to room where your documents will be vetted yet again and the file collected. You'll fill another book after which you'll be told to go wait under the canopy (the canopy that me I went to sit upon my arrival grin) your names will be called via a public address system afterwards and your file given to you which shows you are ready for capturing. You wait your turn and you'd be later ushered into the capturing rooms. Your file will be collected again here for another vetting and if you have no issues, they'll give you your file and you capture, the capturing officer will then finally collect the file after everything and a print out containing your information and collection date given to you. If you have issues eg NIN, name arrangement etc, your file won't be given to you for capturing (they'd tell you the issue though and advise you)

I entered the immigration building today 25th February around 12:30pm, captured and left around past 4pm. My collection date is 8th March 2022 (I'm like shey na eye dey pain me abi na wetin I dey see cos it seems pretty early, lol). I'll keep you guys posted sha. Good luck to everyone awaiting this process. I hope this helps!

This is really insightful hardiodun. Please i want to be certain if all the information here are still valid as you captured since February. Recently some are saying it's better we go before the capturing date to arrange our file but it seems you did yours same day and even advice the opposite. I would be capturing at the same Alausa soon and all my documents are intact. I am confuse and want to know the best course of action now, going before or on the capturing date. I don't really care how long they take as long as i get to capture that day. Thanks

Finally my date of capturing is getting closer. Thank you all for tips and guidance for DIY. I have all document ready and would be capturing at Alausa soon. I just want to ask, is it still advisable to go before the appointment date to sort things out (DIY) or can i get everything done on the appointment date? Thank you all very much.

Interesting read so far. Best of luck to everyone still in the race.

This thing reminds me of when I applied for Graduate Program at British American Tobacco in 2019.

I got a mail almost immediately for aptitude test. It was adaptive, meaning that the more questions you get, the harder the next one becomes till it's over. I got past this stage, to the telephone interview with one of their Recruiters in Romania.

I basically passed through all 5-6 stages of the recruitment, till the final stage which was an AC at their posh office in Ikoyi.

We were 8 in the final stage. 5 guys, 3 ladies.

Normal group discussion, individual presentation, one on one interview etc.

After everything, I didn't get any feedback from them until a month after. A regret mail.

I later got to find out from one of the other candidates that ONLY 1 person was chosen. And the guy at the time, had worked in Forensics, with KPMG Nigeria and in the US; international exposure basically.

Mehn! All that process and only 1 person was chosen at the end.
Final stage even my God cry. No other incentives? nothing? Just the same usual copy and paste regret mail? What's now the difference with you and the people they didn't even shortlist or sent regret mail much earlier. I hate shît like this the most.

Where the job description abeg?
The first page of this thread. The job description that has been removed on their portal since it closed was more elaborate and emphasize on working in team, people person, influencing others etc. All hints to extroversion. Sometimes to be safe it's best to appear as a people person even if you are a hardcore introvert, but that still isn't certain sha.

Could be the personality test. They will tell you to be honest but they are actually looking out for mostly people centric extroverted kind of applicants. Reading the job description alone already hint to their bias.

It seems so as nobody have testify recieving a success mail in both Nairaland and various whatapps groups. They may be clearing backlog first and reducing the numbers to the barest minimum. Did your friends recieved the regret mail today?

Did you submit your resume/CV?
Usually don't include my state of origin/LGA/Religion etc when applying for private jobs, only do that for government jobs. If i had known this way back i would have included it. I was under the impression that if there's even quota system it would even favour the South-South the most because of the environmental hazard thing. How would they now know how to filter this for quota purpose? I am sure they are many people like me. Plus first two stages (i.e the game assessment and ODVI) are even handled by foreigners, you think they would cared about the quota thing in those initial stages?

So no one can move from 'assessment in progress ' to ODVI?
I am not sure. Do they check their portal every seconds? It's possible it may have moved to "Review in progress" and same day they recieved an ODVI invite but the person would think he move straight to ODVI. Shell is unpredictable, there's no timing to when you will get an ODVI even if you weren't "regretted".

From all indicators, its from ' Review in progress' candidates.
Of course nau, It's only when they review your application they can either send a regret mail or success mail. Anyone who receives a success mail would still be from "Review in progress". It was exactly like this in an old thread.
