GlitteringStar: Hello,
What is the outcome of your friend's application? Kindly tell him/her to raise CSE and attach the screenshot of the ECA summary web page if his/her application is still in progress. This is the link to the web page. They cannot reject his/her application since the web page says one can claim points for professional degree if the ECA summary is "Four-year Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Pharmacy". The Visa Officers are human beings too na.
I wish your friend the best. Thanks a lot @GlitteringStar, I've just confirmed the summary of his ECA...it's "Bachelor's degree (four years)". |

IFEAGO: I did my evaluation with WES, because my primary NOC doesn’t fall under 3131 (Pharmacists) and like many other colleagues and some folks here it will be accepted. PEBC is a MUST if the applicant’s primary NOC falls under 3131. My advice to anyone who attended Uniben and was awarded BPharm and PharmD, please use WES if your NOC isn’t 3131, PharmD is evaluated as a Masters degree while BPharm is evaluated as “Bachelor's degree (four years)”. This will enable you save cash for now as compared to PEBC which costs about 400k at the moment. Hey, see my previous post above Elfmannisback: This case is worse. Pharmacy folks have their own assessing body. So how did it all play out for him? |

The degree is Bachelor of Pharmacy, WES evaluated it as "Four-year Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in pharmacy", being a professional degree like Law, I decided to share. The applicant chose "Master's degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession". We've had this debate before, goodluck if this isn't convincing enough. Cheers. weckl: Verify the name of the degree in question as referred in the GCMS notes. |

gsade: Truly, glad. I did not see Iphie 25's post until around 2am. I cannot even remember why I was awake that long on a weekday. I just paid for IQAS immediately and I have been scouring the internet for information on the WES evaluation and any useful actual experience on it. You I found out that Iphie 25's GCMS notes shows that it was her WES and not her IQAS that was recognised by the VO as professional degree. But the difference for Iphie 25 is that her WES report had a comment saying that her the bachelors (four years) is a "first professional degree requires to practise law in Nigeria". So her experience did not seem conclusive because she had that little bit of comment on her report which was not in the canadian equivalency portion. The GCMS notes from CanadianWasp's friend(s) may truly resolve it. Hey, good to know you're being very careful in taking a final decision on this. Please take a close look at excerpts from GCMS notes a friend ordered. This might just be the case if you proceed with your WES evaluation.

cannybound: Dear All ,
How do I view the files I submitted in my EE application post AOR.....
All help will be very highly appreciated. See below; veritas3: Follow the below steps:
*How to check your online forms after AOR* 1. Sign into your CIC account 2. Go to view submitted application 3. Look at your url or address bar in browser then 4. You will see link says ... documentTosubmit.do 5. Replace these words only with applicationChecklist.do
The rest of the url will remain same.
Mind you, you can only view and not edit.
*This will be very helpful for people who get additional document request and those who need to check the data filled in the forms to ensure they correlate.*
I wish you the best |

Good point, I will let him know ASAP. Thanks. Elfmannisback: He can send them the PEBC ECA of it is available to forestall the incoming refusal. Not true please, let’s not be misled. I did my evaluation with WES, because my primary NOC doesn’t fall under 3131 (Pharmacists) and like many other colleagues and some folks here it will be accepted. PEBC is a MUST if the applicant’s primary NOC falls under 3131. This will enable you save cash for now as compared to PEBC which costs about 400k at the moment. CanadianWasp: There's a difference in this case. A pharmacy degree is only evaluated by pebc. That's the rule. There's no rule like this for lawyers. |

This may sound very good but not advisable to try it, I have a friend who evaluated his pharmacy degree with WES, and his ECA came out as "Four-year Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in pharmacy", while filling his form pre & post ITA he chose "Five or more years of professional university study in pharmacy". Due to the delay in his application, he ordered for GCMS and realised the reviewer recalculated his score and this reduced his points due to the content of his ECA. An evaluation with PEBC has now been completed pending when the application becomes rejected or refused. Please not the applicant's NOC has nothing to do with that of a pharmacist. CanadianWasp: IRCC states clearly "enter the highest degree for which you had an educational credential assessment if you studied outside Canada" and went on to list law as a professional degree for which a license is required to practice. In this case, your highest degree is llb which you have gone on to evaluate. IRCC didn't say it must compare with a professional degree by Canadian standards. So yeah, doesn't matterwhat WES compares it to. It is still a professional degree.
BTW, I know some people who have gotten copr claiming points for masters with their WES bachelor's evaluation. |

jelmusboy: I got a mail from CIC that I need to pay RPRF again. What should I do cos these people want to confuse me? Do you have the receipt for the previous payment? I will advise you to scan and send to them. If there is a place holder for attaching the receipt, do an LoE as the first page and add the receipt as the second page. |

Did your school receive the verification request by email? Then tell them to respond by email, it is faster and cheaper. WES do send verification request to schools via a secure email address that can be responded to. Most times ETX handles that on behalf of the school. Tojued: Please help a sistah out. Have been asked by school to choose if I want them to respond by mail or by courier. ABSU to be specific. Thanks. |

Log into your GTBank account online, you would see the contact details of your account officers. Call them and request for the reference letter (also letting them know the format), you will get it in 24-48 hours. That was how I got mine. irewole1: Good day people! I like to know how to process reference letter and statement of account from GTB in the CIC format, any contact line would be appreciated. |

Okay, noted. Thanks. happytbaby: How long ago did you submit? I suppose it's less than 9 months ago. Do LOE and add the data page of the current passports for both of you (do not add stamps again)
Abeg people should stop adding old passports to their application, I have always maintained that its oversabi, they do not ask for it, it creates confusion and people have gotten their applications cancelled erroneously because of this, even if they eventually re-open the application, the heartache of the initial cancellation is not worth it. |

Good day guys, well done to you all on the valuable information shared here. Please I have a challenge, got this mail earlier today;
"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
According to our records, your passport or the passport of your dependent(s) is expired, or set to expire soon
If you have already applied and received a new passport, please reply to us at CPCO-CTDO-PRVU-UVRP@cic.gc.ca with a scanned copy of your passport’s bio page. If you have not already received a new passport, please provide us with a scanned copy when it becomes available.
Do not submit original passports at this time.
Any other inquiries regarding your application please direct to: CPCO-CTD-OTTAWA@cic.gc.ca
Regards,"
My passport had 9 months validity as at the time I submit my application (AOR: April 4), I also attached and submitted my wife's current and old (due to the stamps) passports. I'm asking because passports with less than 6 months validity are not being issued in state commands of Nigerian Immigration Service, what do you guys suggest I do please? Thanks in anticipation of your response. |
