The police clearance report has increased to 30k starting July 22nd and you will apply online and after payment has being made you go with your receipt to Alagbon for them to take your fingerprints.

A Nigerian living in N8gerian cannot have a health insurance in the united state because he does not have a social security number and does not have a job in the United state were by his health insurance premium is deducted from his biweekly pay check . It is not possible.

NVC have stopped picking calls because people want to blow up their phone . Their work pressure is just too much other categories of visa applicants are on their neck especially those on family visa 1ri/Cr1 . For now it is normal no cause for alarm.

You have no control over the service centre where you want your application to be processed. It is only USCIS that could determine the service centre to send your form for processing.

Arrange all documents so you are coordinated
Get all the Relationship proves you have (Better to have more than enough than not to have enough)
Interview doesn't take more than 3-5mins, but i can bet almost 8-10 questions can be asked within that time frame
My Interview was not as easy as what i read online
You can trace your Visa status on CEAC after your Interview it will change from Ready to Application Received to Administrative Process then to Issued (All these within 3 to 4days)
My Passport was ready on the 4th day of the Interview (Email and Sms from GSS)
Picked up with my Packet on the Fifth day

Nvc takes almost 2 to 3 months to review your documents and if all documents is OK you will be termed documentary qualified but if they reject any of your documents you have to submit what they want. When ever you are termed documentary qualified your case is put in line for interview. But the line is very long ooo because people that got documentary qualified last year has not being called for interview.

You need to wait for another 2 to 3 months before you hear from NVC to know if they accepted all your civic documents without an issue then you will be mailed that you are Documentary qualified, but if the require any other document they will let you know . But it is wise to get it right on first submission.

You need to be patient people in the same visa category as yours whose priority date is April 2019 and documentary qualified since July 2021 has not being called for interview. It is just crazy . You need to be patient and engage yourself with other activities.

To me, the US Govt is not being fair. They are not the only country affected by COVID. UK processing is as speedy as lightning. Why will a process to joining your spouse takes almost 2 years.

They are the Number 1 country in the world and I expect they should have figured out how to clear the backlog either by employing more hands or deploying more high tech to assist those handling it. It just does not make sense any longer. This will break some relationship as some ladies or guys over there are desperately looking for companionship which this process has denied them.

I wonder which airline will allow you board without a visa of the country on your passport you are going to. I have tried it before when I presented a US passport in the process of boarding from NewYork to Nigeria but they demanded for a visa to Nigeria I had to show them my Nigerian passport before I could board. United states is not a visa free country to Nigeria.

Nah wa oooo the US embassy in Lagos is short of staff could you believe that their are only two consular conducting interviews . When I called NVC the lady that spoke to me confirmed it not until when my friend that got a visiting said that the consular are not many conducting they interview. Wahala dey for who dey ride bicycle.

Oga their is backlog you need to be patient it is not how fast but how well. Most people are in the NVC stage like you so wait their is nothing abnormal.
