Nairaland General › Re: Nigeria Population Commission Registers Over 420,000 Births In Gombe by ifeco4(m): 7:32am On Dec 30, 2023 |
pheelbert: The Nigeria Population Commission (NPC) has recorded a total of 424,302 births in Gombe State from January to November. Adedeji Adeniyi, the head of NPC’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Gombe State, disclosed that 44.13% (187,283) of the registered births were girls, while 55.86% (237,019) were boys.
The registrations, conducted across more than 100 registration centers, encompassed children aged 0 to 17 years. Of the total figure, 76,900 were children below the age of one year, with 43,140 boys and 33,760 girls. Furthermore, 285,010 children were aged between one and four years, comprising 125,230 girls and 159,780 boys. Lastly, 62,392 children fell within the four to 17 years age bracket, with 28,293 girls and 34,099 boys.
Adeniyi emphasized the NPC’s commitment to increasing birth registration and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders in the state. The transition from manual to digital birth registration, facilitated by a collaboration with UNICEF, has significantly streamlined the process. This modern approach aims to encourage more residents to register their births, recognizing the importance of data for governmental planning and intervention.
Underlining the significance of birth registration, Adeniyi stressed that it grants children identity, nationality, and access to essential social amenities. He also expressed concern over the inadequate registration of deaths in the state, urging residents to register such events as it provides crucial insights for government planning and decision-making. Notably, registering deaths offers insights into prevalent causes of mortality, thus facilitating informed policy planning and implementation.

Vinnie2000: A big YES!
She is Attracted to you, wants you to comfort her with Sweet words and somehow wishes you were her Husband.
A married woman who loves her husband will NOT reveal her Marital issues to any Guy outside. In most cases, she likes you and if you keep giving her attention, you guys will definitely end up in bed. I was once in that shoe, she was my Facebook and we happened to stay in the same state unknowingly to us. She is also from my state of origin and married to somewhere from the state we are staying( she is married, though I did not know initially) and the husband graduated from my school, you see the coincidence right? So it happens that she began telling me about her marital issues, how her husband beats her, don't allow her to work, cheats on her and she accuses her of cheating even though she was innocent. Her experience was so terrible that she tried having solace on me. To me, I was trying to help a sister by encouraging and giving her advice but she started catching feelings. She desired to fu*k me and even said that to me. Somehow, her husband got to know she has been talking to someone because he caged and isolated her from having friends. So he called and was accusing me of sleeping with his wife, menhhhhhh I immediately cut off from her. |

Ajaero and NLC didn't go to Kogi or bayelsa to protest, but he choose his state Imo because his political party is going to benefit from the protest... The question is if the workers are been owed in Imo state. You are the one seeing it as politics because you people always devise means to support evil. MrEverest: If ikwerre people are smart, they should align with Sim Fubara now and isolate idiotic Wike. Otherwise, if they join him in this dance of shame, they will end up going down with him.
Ijaws outnumber them in numbers and also violent in nature. So, it won't make sense trying to fight them. Secondly, ijaws will easily join forces with Ogoni, Kalabari and even some oppressed Igboid groups in Rivers like Etche and Obigbo. Even ijaws from Bayelsa and Delta are teaming up with their brothers in Rivers State. Edwin Clark is already condemning Wike.
If that happens, ikwerres will return to old Rivers situation when they were completely sidelined. In as much as I want Wike to be humiliated and disgraced, your assertion of Ijaws having the numbers to relegate the Ikwere's is false. |

Throwback: You cannot vote 95% for a fellow Igbo and call my own tribe as tribalist for voting a fellow Yoruba at 60% of votes cast.
You cannot have the politics and political appointments in the SouthEast to be exclusively for Igbos, but you want to participate in the politics and political appointments of other regions.
This is why Ahmadu Bello came up with the Northernization policy when he was the Premier of the North.
Simply beacuse some people having exclusively occupied all the positions in their own region, wanted to be allowed to compete for roles in the North.
Despite all the lamentations of Igbos about their phantom discrimination in other parts of Nigeria, they are the ones who still boast that they have displaced "lazy" indigenes in their home region, while no tribe can displace Igbos in their own home region.
A weird case of an aggressor crying that he is being assaulted, and hoping that will prevent the 'foolish' victim from seeking redress. You lots can never rest. The only time we voted our own because he is capable and we deserve a shot at the presidency also. in 1999 and 2003, we voted massively for Obasanjo who is a Yoruba while rejecting our own. In 2007, we voted massively for late Yardua who came from the north and rejected our own. In 2011 and 2015 we voted for Goodluck Jonathan who is an Ijaw man from Bayelsa state. In 2019, we voted fro Atiku an Hausa man. Then in 2023, we voted massively for our own who is equally capable and it becomes a problem. How do you expect me to support another Yoruba man who i believe is not capable because of his age and so many baggages attributed to him. How do you expect me to support a man from from the same region that have produced a president for 8 years, vice president for 8 years? If you are looking for tribalism, look at Yoruba Muslims. |

Yes, I campaigned and voted for Peter Obi too, but always rejoicing whenever you read bad news about Nigeria shows you never loved the country in the first place!
You guys need to check yourselves! Keep quite there, you never campaigned and voted for Obi. Besides, the person's comment is not that of jubilation but of self fulfilment that he knew the best candidate and supported him. What do you want him to do🤔🤔 to go hang himself? A government can not subject people to suffering and expect them to be rejoicing. My happiness is that i campaigned, voted for the right candidate and warned people of the danger of Tinubu presidency. They resorted to "Tinubu government will favour me and my family" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
