I don't want to discuss Bigfoot because I do not know. I will not say I know but I'm curious. But saying it is impossible for them to exist is also ignorance. I'm not talking about sant clause tho.....I think that was only a story for kids. Humans haven't been on this planet long enough to know what lived on it before.

Babalawos and co are in-tune with nature and do not need science in any shape of form because they deal with malleable form of Energy. Science deals mostly with what it can see, solidified Energy. It has no explanation for how physical reality came about.

You are a student of science and you can only be measured by its rules. That is your religion, it tells you what to think, I have no problem with that.

On the contrary, education has everything to do with it. People who are well educated learn to demand extraordinary evidence for extraordinary claims, and they are aware of what a bad idea it is to trust too much in anecdotal claims like the one you've just made. Simply believing far-fetched rumors you've read or heard somewhere, without checking for independent confirmation from credible sources, is the height of gullibility.

If someone tells me they saw a mermaid, the likelihood that the person is either lying or insane is a lot higher than the odds that the person is telling the truth, and the amount of evidence I will require to believe what they are saying will be correspondingly higher. Anyone who claims otherwise is simply not well-educated.

What sort of education have you got if I may ask? Psychology, astronomy, geometry, astrology, Antropology etc ...which one? You cannot read business in school and claim you are all round educated. Education is you aquiring knowledge on a specific field. You cannot be educated in everything unless you have lived for thousands of years straight. The babalawos are more educated in their various divinitions more than you...that's a fact! The priestess of Yemoja is more educated in her field than you. You cannot say she is uneducated because she did not go to university to study business. It is is ignorance to think so. Why don't you meet a Yemoja priestess and ask questions about the mermaid and let curiosity and your own thoughts decide. I don't believe man evolved from monkey because science said so.

It is best to say we do not know, rather than conclude they do not exist. But mermaid stories in Africa has being for thousands of years..... They was a recent claim of mermaid attack in Zimbabwe. There people were sure they were mermaids. Who knows, they may be right or wrong. Education has nothing to do with it.

Our imaginations are based on what we were programmed to think. We have been taught in school that we are alone in the Universe and there are 9 planets. Our imaginations will be limited that and below.The need for medicines to cure headaches, taking anti- depression tablets to cure depression,money to be happy and programming......Unfortunately that's us being stuck in the material world.

"Gods of Egypt" had an all Caucasian Cast, same as Thor etc. I know Egyptisns were no white,but world has accepted they were. Shango was obviously a Yoruba ancient character.....maybe exaggerated a bit,but who knows if he actually spit fire from his mouth.....we cannot tell.

Thor's story could be that of human hybrids who displayed advance technology, the type science cannot explain. Obviously they will call it a myth because they do not know. Ancient African knew there were. Brazil, Cuba, ancient sea Priates, even Mr Christopher Columbos wrote about them. We cannot say there were crazy as we do not know. But it is dangerous to trust science 100%. Science has a long way to go....... Imagine when you take a picture,the camera catch what it can, but not all there is. Can marmaids exist? Yes they can if the environment supports them.


But to say they don't exist, simply because some white men havent stumbled on it is lame. We as Africans should do our own research tho. Spirit is the purest form of US all. It is pure Energy that cannot be corrupted or suppressed. It is what religion call God, our very original form, that which is unborn, eternal, omnipotent, omnipresence etc. Spirit is the highest form of Energy

The soul is the malleable form of Energy,it is the memory bank of an individual that splits into parallel realities, universes, multiverses......or we can say the Soul is that which experiences Karma as a result of it undergoing reborn in order to get rid of the Ego-Self/our false self. The Soul being a higher level of consciousness controls our Emotions,which includes the ability to love.

OP did not ask about body.....which would have been the solidification of the Soul. Basically we can say Spirit(air)= Soul( liquid)= Body( matter)

Hi, it does have connection with Atlantis,but that wasn't the first time. Lumeria ,which like Atlantis was destroyed with chemical weapons. There is an ancient text I read where I saw The people of the inner earth used to be the eyes of the Gods, the original creator gods until they thought they had enough technology to battle them.

In the Koran, there are strange stories about beings that are called the Djinn, who were according to texts, present on Earth before humans. The story tells that at one point Iblis, the leader of the Djinn offended the Gods,was rebellious and was cursed like the serpents in the Garden of Eden becoming Earthbound trapped on Earth for eternity. You can look up that story, it's interesting.

Kulkulkan the Mayan " snake deity" also called Waxaklahun Ubah Kan,meaning " the serpent God" was said to have go to the inner Earth through a secret tunnel which was later called " the under world". Ancient Greeks also made reverence to that word " underworld" a lot surprisingly.

Making others happy while neglecting yourself isn't a good life. He won't be there for her emotionally but financially which is what he is already doing I'm sure. And of course that doesn't stop him from being a great father to his kids. They will grow up to understand how life works.

Marriage is what we have all be taught to be in,not really what we yearn for. The Soul yearns for happiness even when religion and traditional beliefs weighs it down. OP doesn't have to stay in a marriage that doesn't make him happy. Be happy,that's what life is all about. It can be difficult and you might lose a lot but why stay unhappy?

It wasn't the Church service of today that made me decide.
It was rather several pieces of disappointment and dashed expectations that forced me to make up my mind today.

Following my conversion years ago, I had spent a substantial part of my youthful life in the service of God. No amount of discouragement from my Dad and peers would slow me down in the pursuit of the love and service of God my Father. At a point I had approached my parents that I was considering opting for pastoral school instead of University admission. I had at the time been offered an admission into one of the leading federal universities in the country. Eventually my dad's voice of reason prevailed and I went to University. In University, I lived and conducted myself as a man whose singular hope and passion was the pursuit of God, roving from villages to villages every week, preaching and pastoring village churches. Away from the demands of my studentship.

But in the real world, the popular promise that God always has my back has been no more than a sale's man's quip which is often far from the reality on ground. I have asked fellow Christians questions, but they have failed to provide me with answers that don't refer me back to the usual call to patience and perseverance. If I do not enjoy God's promises in the time of my youth, what then is the point? What is the point in repetitively making the same requests for years without answer from God?

I consulted widely, reading books and studying other peoples' experiences and I have come to this conclusion: that I am on my own in this world. That God probably finished His part when He created me; that the entirety of my fate and experience will hereafter depend on me and my societal factors. That all the praying and singing and clapping in the church are no more than a desperate attempt for most of us to believe in a God who has got no better job than bailing us out of our miseries...

Well, it has been years now and He hasn't bailed me out. My life, the experiences of it, has not been any better than that of those who have refused to acknowledge God or to serve Him. Henceforth, I'm going to turn my time and attention to more product things than church attendance. My woman isn't going to like this, but I feel like a fraud sitting there in Church today and refusing to say the prayers since all those I had said these past years don't seem to have been answered.

This is no feast for atheists. I don't have enough faith to be one. This is simply my step of courage to step outside profitless religion into personal effort to take my own matters into my own hands. And you don't have to agree with my conclusions, if you look at it carefully you will realize that I have no obligation to live my life based on others' experiences. Just mine.

Moving from one class to another is constant. You stopped going to church because you have successfully desolved that illusion of it as the only way accepted to serve God. That is the thing about Illusions, they serve you until you see the need to get rid of them. The rest of your church members are not in anyway silly....no they ain't , it's just that the wind of reality hasn't hit them yet. I personally think the church is a good thing, a good learning curve for a young soul to grow. They must realise themselves that that is not the ideal way to grow mentally,spiritually,intellectually etc

Now that you have passed that stage, what next? Big question! You must continue to find yourself. You must solve the question of "God". What really is God? Reevaluate what you have been taught in the church about what and who God is. Only you can find this question just the way you noticed that there is more to life than what the church as got to offer. The answer you will eventually get will change your life. There is nothing to fear.

The best way to knowledge is you being your own teacher, making mistakes and learning from them. Listen to no one as they are students themselves.

One of the esoteric meaning of the word " serpent" means knowledge or a carrier of knowledge. It could also mean reincarnation or renewal just as the snake sheds its skin anually. We could see one metaphor used in the bible " to be as wise and serpent" was a way to encourage the embrace of knowledge.

Ancient Egyptian Pharoas were known to have the snake symbol on their foreheads which signified their "Godship" in the sense that they had knowledge, activated third eye/ access to their subconscious mind. The Hindus see the third eyes as the doorway to your inner mind and a snake as a symbol of someone who meditates and resonates with his/her body chakras.

Of course people are scared of snakes primarily majority of those brought up with Judeo-Christian. I can guarantee you that most of the people who weren't brought up in Christianity have absolute no fear of snakes. In fact they see them as pets. The snake had 5% chances of attacking you, even when you accidentally step on it. The venom can be useful to humans as medicines etc.

The serpent race were domonized for the normal people but the elites are full time secret worshippers of the snake people. Talk about the Freemasion, Brotherhood of the snake etc are secret practice of the top European politicians and celebrities. They perform all sorts of rituals like the priests in Africa do. The idea is to keep knowledge hidden. When a typical Christian sees a snake symbol he runs away..... That is how they stay hidden.
