You're just assuming. God can never be an author of confusion. If truly you're spirit filled, immediately you received the mandate and you confined in your wife and she gave negative reply, since that day you suppose to have gone on your knees and ask God to convince her by a sign. The Bible says, until they see a sign they would not believe. Even during the ministry of Jesus, the Pharises never believed him because they requested for a miracle. You need to go more in prayers for God to show himself to your darling wife that truly he was the one sending you for a task ahead. If you go through the Bible everyone God sent and they had one or two obstacles, God manifested miracles to dispel their doubt.
I advice you to go more on your knees and intensify your prayer altar and keep the wood burning. Truly if it was God that called you, your wife will surely feel it and be convinced.

1. I guess you imagined the way you sister and her husband started their "ministry" is also the way he MUST start his?
2. If you went through his initial posts very well, he did not ask anyone here to help him assess if he should start a ministry. His emphasis is that he's convinced of his calling to start a ministry. My question to you (and others with "judgmental" feedback) is why are you more interested in "dissuading" him? Why are you telling him "how" and "when" he should not start/start? I put below some of your quotes that is out to the issues he placed for advise



Good question, but out of scope. You do not know his background or the "works" he has done, the spiritual heights he has attained. You do not even know if he has a small fellowship or not(if that is even a criteria for God's call)



The God that told your in-law NOT YET, could be telling this man START NOW?

I like to keep to the facts of issues, at least to the extent of the information we have. The challenge I see here is that this brother is long-gone in his resolve to start his ministry (convinced God has called him to start). He wants advise on how to convince his wife. Let me pick just one thing from what many of you tacitly alluded to as a simple answer

1. PRAY that God touches/reveals to the wife
2. Get counselling from "spiritual fathers" who can guide both he and the wife on how to traverse stages like this. It will hit into their family life physically, emotionally and economically at the start (the ministry may even be "small time" for a long time)......but that is the price of answering a legit call of God.
3. Tell the wife, the threat of divorce.........is at best shameful. Under no circumstances should a christian wife threaten her husband with divorce over divergent views.

It's not like there is a template for receiving a calling from God and how to start a ministry. The only thing I deem more valuable in your submission is "ask God for direction".... Every other thing sounds judgemental and personal

Yes I informed her,my parents are even aware. They are giving their moral and even material support for my ministry, the building we want to use is even given to me by my dad
One thing I noticed about my wife is that she loves our present Church so much

Your sole purpose of helping them is because you hoped to be rewarded, not out of Goodwill but because you hoped to gain some monetary value of some sort?
So if you had foreseen you wouldn't be rewarded, you wouldn't have helped right?

You say you're seeking advice, advice on what exactly, that you should trace their house and scatter the place? Or you need us to patronize you and say "oh you're a good man" "may God reward you", if that's what you were expecting, I am not that sort of person, and seriously, God can't reward you based on what I stated in the first paragraph, this is because all your actions reeks of insincerity. So wouldn't it have paid you to have done all that whilst expecting your reward from God?
Well, if you are very good at finding and reuniting people, it's not too late to start a career in private investigation, and you would surely be paid and have a proud job you can call yours. And in cases like this one, it would just be a matter of "service not paid for".
But if everyone expected something for every good thing they've done to you, trust me, there'll be nothing on your plate
