CelebritiesRe: Iheoma Nnadi To Take Adenike Balogun, Her Wedding Planner To Court by IForgotMyLoginD(f):
Yea a woman’s wedding day should be memorable. ESP when millions exchanged hands. I just don’t like that she’s letting this event planner ruin her honeymoon too. If I were in her shoes, I’d just post “Dear Event Planner, you ruined my wedding. See you in court when I get back from my juicy honeymoon (which thankfully no be you plan)”....

Then go ahead and enjoy a few weeks of marriage, and come back to give advice on how not to pick an event planner based on hype. Apologize to your guests and then sue the rude event planner OR move on. All these early rants making her look bad.

Kellibae:
And to think the Lady in question did not even apologize is so annoying, she deserve to be sued undecided
I'm with iheoma on this.. she needs to sue her ass, so that next time she will learn how to treat clients.

If it’s a powerful “pastor”, then Timi is scared of the Madam KOO treatment. And scared of being sued for “defamation”. If it’s a popular Abuja Pastor, then na powerful “Pastor” and Timi obviously loves his freedom.

So sad what so called “Men of God” do in secret. But until there are glaring proofs, an allegation is just an allegation. Sadly.

Music/RadioEd Singer… Rising Profile Of A Talented Homeboy by IForgotMyLoginD(op): 9:26pm On May 27, 2018
In December 2012, when he left Nigeria for the United States, Edidiong Udoidiong otherwise known as Ed Singer, had the dream of pursuing a full career in music. And since he enrolled at the Columbia College, where he’s currently studying music, his dreams seems to be coming to life.
Ed began working on his EP project from his home studio in 2013, where he wrote, composed and produced great demos. He then took his demo tapes to Rax Trax Recording, a major music studio, where he laced the vocals and recorded live drums. The demo project was further moved to Gravity Studios in Chicago for professional recordings of his songs, after he found Daniel Farnsworth, with whom they co-produced two songs at the studio.

Ed also recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and later met with Jean-Marie Horvat, a musical genius, who has worked with great music icons such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and many more. Jean fell in love with Ed’s Paradise while mixing and instantly felt it was an honor to being a part of Ed’s history.

In the process of making music, Ed worked with Grammy Award Winning mix engineer, Michael Brauer, a five-time Grammy Award Winning mixer, who mixed his songs, including Arise. Michael also mixed the likes of John Mayer, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones and many more.

Ed has mastered his songs with Grammy Award winning mastering engineers like Joe Laporta, Ted Jensen, Aya Merrill (sterling-sound). He recently recorded one last song on his EP, Oceans, with a Grammy Award Winning Producer/vocal arranger, Ben Bram, who’s the brain behind an Acapella group, Pen-tatonix. He had the chance to also work with Ed Boyer, a multi Grammy Award Winning Acapella Producer/mixer, nominated nine times, but won one time.

A perfectionist, who sets very high standards for his music, Ed Singer was signed on Record Label Goldfish Entertainmen and has released two singles Paradise, produced, mixed and mastered by some of Hollywood’s finest and Beauty Queen, which was produced by George Nathaniel and Puffy T.

“I try to infuse my African roots into my music and add a bit of western flavour. Some of the American artistes that have influenced me along the way are Bruno Mars, Seal and Michael Jackson. I also really enjoy Adam Levine’s music. I really admire his voice,” he enthused.

On his latest single Paradise, which he said was influenced by the late King of Pop’s big hit Beat It, he said, “The song is about someone, who is madly in love, but others try to tell you that the person you’re in love with is not good enough for you. In my lyrics, I said, ‘I came here to love you. I came here to fight for you and take you to paradise. Love is in the eye of the beholder; love who you want to love.” With his achievements so far, the US-based Nigeria born musician is now more than ever ready to join the league of Nigerian artistes recognised by the world.

Music/RadioMy Mum Is Biggest Influence On My Career – Ed Singer by IForgotMyLoginD(op): 8:59pm On May 27, 2018
US-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer, Edidiong Udoidiong, popularly known as Ed Singer, has said that even though he has met a lot of big names in his career, his mother is still the biggest influence on his career.

He told Saturday Beats, “I grew up seeing my mother singing in church choir. She has a beautiful voice and she has always been my number one inspiration. When I turned 12, I joined the church choir and I started to sing and learn how to play the keyboard. Eventually, I started writing music.”

Speaking on his style of music, Ed Singer said, “I try to infuse my African roots into my music and add a bit of western flavour. Some of the American artistes that have also influenced me are Bruno Mars, Seal, Adam Levine and Michael Jackson.”

Meanwhile, the dynamic entertainer is currently promoting his latest single, ‘Paradise,’ which was influenced by the late Michael Jackson’s hit song, “Beat It.” Ed Singer has worked with Grammy Award winners, including Michael Brauer, a five-time Grammy Award-winning mixer, Ben Bram, Grammy Award-winning producer/vocal arranger, Joe Laporta, among others.

Sigh. I agree with you. sad

dplordx:
Genesis chapter 1 vs 11: ...and the land produced fruits and vegetation for different uses and God saw that this was good.

God created nature to produce cure for whatever hails us. Back in the days the white missionaries were killed by malaria, they had do research to discover the African root called Quinine and that's why all malaria drugs bear malaquine, chloroquine and etc back than. But since the black man took over evangelism, the whole package is now BS. It is a shame that African government can't even work in coming with the cure for Ebola and we have to wait for the United States government to ship vaccine and serum for us. And it's a bigger shame that African churches are also operating like the African leaderships. All about money and no single innovation. And whats our best solution, go and meet pastors and pray. Africans have tossed away common sense in place of religion. No wonder you see everyone praying for success when even Jesus hustled hard and even lost his life while pushing his mission. But what has the church turned us into: zombies following the lies of some rich bloated liars and scammers. People can't even come up with incredible ideas and solution. It's either America gives it to us or we run to our daddy in the lord. It's so painful that I am an African. What a shithole mentality we've got!

CelebritiesRe: Kemi Olunloyo: "Linda Ikeji Is A Bad Role Model, I'm A Mentor" by IForgotMyLoginD(f):
For those saying “Linda Ikeji has not told her fans what makes her a multi millionaire, even to the extent of buying a house in banana island. Nobody is fooled by that blogging hog-wash. ..” bla bla bla...

Linda owes no one any explanation. If her means are questionable, investigate it, and if found guilty, demand for her prosecution. It’s not enough to throw accusations without proper backings.

Also those saying “pregnancy outside wedlock.... with no husband in sight....” , has it ever occurred to you guys that her husband-to-be, or husband is a private person and wouldn’t appreciate the public display?

And if she’s done her traditional marriage (which u and I don’t know) , then she’s a married woman.

If not, it still isn’t any of our business. Yes we can debate it, but at the end of the day, everyone has their life to live, and decisions to make (esp if they are above 18).

All-in-all, All you judges, it’s her life and it’s hers to live. She owes no one , except God, an explanation.

And as for aunty Kemi, get a life. Linda Ikeji has empowered more fans than you have in your 24years of being a journalist.

FamilyRe: Can I Do Court Marriage With Her? She Has A Girl by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 8:23pm On May 23, 2018
So you are going to take advice from strangers who know nothing about your woman? Ok.

1. If you had these doubts why did you go further with her to make her fiancée?
2. If she’s a good woman, why should her having a daughter be a problem now? It wasn’t a problem before, but now it’s a problem? Hmmm...

3. Does she judge you by your past mistakes?

My answer is, there’s nothing wrong in marrying a single mom. My sister has a daughter outside wedlock and she’s happily married now with two more children.

Like I said, don’t let strangers help you decide (not even me). Do what your spirit tells you.
CelebritiesRe: Linda Ikeji Replies Kemi Olunloyo, Shows Her Bare Baby Bump (Pictures) by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 11:49am On May 23, 2018
...as for madam Kemi, now I get why she’s never gone far in her career (nursing and journalism). Upon all the “international journalist” she calls herself, and meeting with world stars, she hasn’t been successful.

She has a voice and she uses it wrongly. Instead of earning respect, when she’s not busy earning people’s disdain, she’s earning pity. And still she isn’t learning.

This bashing strategy isn’t working. How can you confidently say someone is wearing fake baby bump? Now that she’s proved you wrong, what next? Photoshop? Smh
CelebritiesRe: Linda Ikeji Replies Kemi Olunloyo, Shows Her Bare Baby Bump (Pictures) by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 11:43am On May 23, 2018
Truth is, this Linda really does have a good heart. All I hear from people who have had the chance to meet and know her is , she is a good person.

It is the joy of every woman to carry or cater to children they call theirs (adopted or biological). And I pray she delivers safely and may God protect her and grant her long life to carry her children’s children in Jesus name. Amen.

FamilyRe: My Husband Has A Different Surname To The One He Uses.. by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 8:02am On May 14, 2018
I can’t tell you if your husband is real or not, but I can tell you YES it’s possible to have a different surname. A man can decide to honour his grandfather and take up his Grandfather’s first name as his surname.

Some people change their surname altogether. Especially Christians. Eg. From “Ogunwole” (which connotes a worship of a god called Ogun) to Oluwole.etc.

Morwendy:
Hi. New here but have read threads for years til now and I just have a simple question to ask . Ok, I know how dim I sound but I married my Nigerian husband 8 years ago. Next week, we apply for his permanent leave to remain here. We've been happy enough since we got married, the usual ups and downs but nothing too serious. Anyway, I found that he has a website advertising a business in Nigeria. Asked him about it and he says yes its his but its not up and running yet (like thats why I was mad at him rather than because he set ghis up without even telling me). I was looking at some photos on his site and I came across a poster laying out the days events for his fathers funeral. At the foot of the poster it says 'by [his name but different surname] on behalf of the family. Now, this new surname is the same as his fathers so I believe it to be his true name. Asked him about it and he says that his surname is different to the rest of his family because he chose to take his paternal grandfathers name. I assume his father should also bear the grandfathers name? He just keeps telling me that I don't understand Nigerian customs/traditions but now the word 'scammed' keeps popping into my head. A simple yes or no would be enough - is it usual for a man to NOT take his fathers name? Thanks in advance.

Who remembers how we used to recharge MTN then? *555*1*pin ....word from insiders then was that, that “1” was the commission Atiku and his oga OBJ had on every recharge. Yes, EVERY recharge card loaded, they had 1%.

When I got to know, I tried loading my phone without the “1”, and it still worked!

Notice when MTN stopped advertising with the “*555*1*pin”? When OBJ left office.

I don’t like to talk politics, but Mr. Atiku, thanks for bringing telecommunications.... but you reaped off your people too rmbr?

CelebritiesRe: Skales Walks Out Of Victor Okpala, NET TV Interviewer by IForgotMyLoginD(f):
Truth is, no matter how matured or childish you are, no one will take a direct bash at their work pleasantly. You will feel hurt esp when you know how much work you put into it.

Reactions may differ, but that feeling of hurt cannot be denied.

I personally feel the presenter wanted a reaction from Skales and wanted something he’d use to leverage his show, so he went forward and bashed him tactlessly.

Speaking from experience, There are various ways to tell an artiste or anybody that they suck in public without hurting their feelings. Or without coming off as “hateful”.

A presenter asking a question must always ask from an unbiased angle and mustn’t let it look personal.

This looked like a poor and distasteful attempt at wanting Skales to lose his cool. Mission accomplished I guess for them.

Hi,
No offense intended, but he’s entitled to his decisions you know? smiley and if not spending on MTN data is one of them, it’s his money and he has a right to make his decision public. Freedom of speech. Doesn’t stop MTN from moving forward, neither will it stop him from being successful in future.

I know you won't get the point, your mindset ain't completely wane.

Even if a Dangote says he won't spend a dime in a company like MTN, it won't change anything say less someone like you unable to feed yourself without external help.

You have a right to be angry at any company but saying you won't spend as if they rely on you is lugubrious.
