expert1: I actually cancelled the ride and put the reason for cancel as the driver showed up with number plate not matched.
I expected him to cancel when he knows he won't be going to my destination.
The app showed me driver on the way and later showed Ride Arrived whereas the guy didn't move and never have the intention of moving until I called him.

expert1: If a Rider is Matched (assigned) to a Driver and the driver is not willing to go to the destination or he is a bit far from the pickup.
Who is suppose to cancel the ride, is it the Driver or the Rider?
Good morning. Any of the parties can cancel, but note that cancellation has more negative effect on the driver than the rider.... One wrong cancellation can lead the driver to one week suspension, a rider can easily switch mobile number if restricted, due to high cancellation and it last only hours or just a day.. a driver don't have that leverage. |

@interleukin
Draw up a detailed contract with him and outline perfectly who will handle the basic and complex things....
Basic things such as servicing of the car, repairs that has to do with suspension, car body and replacement of parts should b well outlined...it can be equal management , or outright apportioning to either of the party.
Complex ones such as change of engine, gear or a major part must be will detailed as well, in most cases the car owner take care of it, if such repairs comes up. if the car is well managed and taken care of, complex repairs can be avoided. (I stand to be corrected)
using the basic repairs : If he will be responsible for repairs I will advice you consider 20-25k weekly payment, if it will be shared repairs and maintenance, you can consider 25k-30k weekly payment ...if you will like to be in charge of repairs then 30k weekly payment is ideal.
Note: the work is very slow at the moment due to post festive spending and absence of surge.
In regards to who keep the key. He keeps it, so you won't impede on his work schedule, just imagine he isn't your neighbor, I am sure you won't expect him to be coming to knock your door daily to submit and retrieve key.
In regards to days you will need the car, ensure you outline it in your contract, that such instances will occur and in such week, the agreed weekly payment will be divided by 7 and he will only remit for days worked i.e if weekly payment is agreed at 30k and you need the car for 2 days... Payment for that week will be 30k/7 =4285 , 4285 X 5 = 21,425.
Above all, ensure the contract is well drafted and duly agreed and signed by both parties...
I wish you well |

Felicity001: So last night I put ine little brat in her place by driving her to a police station.
I was at world oil/Blanco,lekki when this request to Ogudu came in just 800meters away. She called to inform me where she was going and Where she was, though she didn't really know so a guy gave me a proper direction. She was polite in the phone.
Got to PU and called to inform them I was outside but I'd to call again after 2min of paid waiting time to ask of their whereabout b4 they came out.
This girl was just pulling my door knob without any form of notification she's out, the young guy came to my window and I wind down so he told me he was the ine that requested but the girl is the ine going. Okay, no problem... I unlocked the doors and they hugged each other and she hooped in.
My seats were already cold and she mood Immidiately seating down so I turned to look at her to find out if there was a problem.
Why are you looking at me like that? She said. Did I entered somebody's private car, this doesn't look like a Uber ooh... Pls wait let me confirm again. She tried calling the guy but he had already gone back inside. She called my line and it rang so she was relaxed and then we started the trip.
Me: where is this place on yiur address Ogudu road, ojota she replied.
Aunty don carry her 2 left legs fold untop2my seat dey make calls for back, I cautioned her to seat properly. Those were our only words to each other.
Got to her destination and the street is off Ogudu so I mistook it to a very bad road I enter earlier in the day to pickup a rider so I park right in front of the street and told her sorry I can't enter thus your street its very bad my experience today was not pleasant.
as if she was waiting for such opportunity b4, na so aunty start to talk plenty oh, I won't pay you, why did I book a ride, why didnt you say you won't enter my street b4 we started the trip, I wont pay you kobo... Shuu! Fromnthe map where you're going to is just 70meters away... For where? Maybe she was annoy that I asked her to seat properly b4... I just ended the ride since she doesnt have manners of approach and made boost of not paying. Trip ended N3,200
This girl was still ranting, I don off engine already, like 3min she wasn't making any move at all and kept quiet. It was dark and the area was scanty somehow, who will now listen to us I thought...
I took my phone and search for the nearest police station on Google map. Me: you don't want to pay me my money abi? I started the car and drove off, you go see craze today i told her.
She was still talking, you want to kidnapp me? Bla bla bla... Where are you talking me to, bla bla bla... Tobthe police station i said...
To cut the story short... Na she first jump down and started narrating to the police men and women what happened, insulting me right in their presence. She wouldn't even allow me talk. Las Las she said money is in the house, her phone is dead, she can't do payment, all sort of excuses. One of the police women suggested she use a bike to her house she refused. She started shedding crocodile tears... I told her tears don't move me.
Finally, one of the officers called me aside and told menthe street is not as bad as I thought that their HMO hospital is located in that street that I should just take her let her pay me so i can go. I said only on one condition, she pay me first because I might get there and another drama will start. So the officer offered to go with us.
Getting to her house, this girl no even get shi shi she started to make several calls for money. Webt inside to get 1k from God knows who, came back to her beg in the car to get N200 and then one Joshep guy transferred 2k to my account. olopka man just dey laugh as I dey go drop am for station.
I gave the police guy the N1200 he refused to accept it. He said I should not worry.
In fact enh... I was just wondering! So you no get money na him ur mouth dey run like tap like this?
That's y i said, this work na mental work.... I don't know the street in question, but there was one street I dropped a rider, the street is off ogudu road, the street has a very bad slope towards the end, while driving back after dropping the rider, the slope fried one of my tyres, had to buy a new one...since that day, I balcklisted that street. |

BAZ001: IFSHR come ooo. You name has been mentioned. Can you pls show us how consistent is your soft work of 10k daily?
So our new target in January is to net 10k daily till things normalizes
Well I’ve already grossed 10k dis morning before 11am thanks to the rain that brought surge. Na to do 5k in d night and I’ve met target Of IFSHR 3k fuel 3,165k card trip/repayments bolt. and 10k net that’s all. How easy it is to do dis without surge ? No strategy ! No skill All I do is filter trips at least with a minimum assurance of 1500 or more. I start work early and as I dey close, I fuel my car in preparation of the second day work... I just always come out with the mindset that I will net the 10k and I will. |

Pearl1910: Relative terms Baba...do u know how hard it is for 1person to make 10k/day on d norms? Shebi u get car wash and POS spot. Tell me, which business still pays more? Compared to d capital.
Mental work na soft work na. Sure it's not easy, and it's made worse by our sick economy and dieing naira. Car wash and pos success depends on the market share you control.... And if you enjoy a larger share of the market.... 10k per day will be intangible. Ehailing is a cash cow and if you are lucky to have the right tool that help your minimize your running cost, you wil always be at the profit side. I know of a lady that nets close to 25k per day on this pos things and the running cost is minimal and fixed ...salary, rent unlike ehailing.... There is a car wash before you enter magodo phase 2, you can't talk about netting 10k daily I am sure they will net X 4 of that daily with a fixed running cost. Ehailing is a big market, enter it and get as much as you can and make good business decisions with what you make of it.. Ask me should you invest in ehailing....capital yes.. |

Viking07: I’m in one Abuja WhatsApp group where they dread rejecting/cancelling a request due to bolt ban. How do you escape this since you select your trips? For me, the key is to understand how the aggregate cancellation board works..... I accept all trips and intentionally miss few (just to balance the things in some cases) When I pick a trip, I call you immediately and let you know I am either far from you or can't go that way. If he rider don't cancel after the call immediately, I swipe arrive and cancel after 3 min with the driver's number is not available option, and in some cases the rider will cancel. But the major thing is always keeping a tab on the below...the first two is the most dangerous hence the red and slight pink colour, while the last two are less dangerous hence it's colour

You can't tag anyone along during Uber trip. You can let the person learn how the app works and how to use the Google maps. There's nothing too hard to learn about it that you have to take the person along. It's not a truck driving business. Oh I get... |

Witchersunited: Thinking of using staff bus and using my car to do uber/bolt, would it be possible to get a driver and also have my cousin tag along to learn the ropes? Would that inconvenience passengers? The driver also claims that he can use any car with the application is that true? Thanks Na after first trip dem go block you and and your tag along... It's not possible. I read staff bus, that might be a typo, bus is not allowed on the platform. If the car is branded with school signage, forget it, it won't pass inspection. The driver claims of using any car is not elaborate enough, I didn't get your point... |
