Thank you... Now i will lecture you.. The total salary of ALL staff where i work is just a little above 30 million.. Yes, that is what is paid monthly.. Do you know how much d company makes.. Well, after all deduction (rent/salary/operation/tax/COG/) etc.. My MD still pocket nothing less that a 100 mil. And am very serious.

Car owner should take at least 50% of all earning, after all deduction.. That is fair. Do you see d dashboard and account statement flying around recently? Do you think those guys should be paying 25k weekly?

Let me give you another scenerio... Assuming all earnings goes directly to the owner of d car, and by d end of d week, bolt pays 120k or 80k to d account of d car owner, the way they pay to your account weekly, can you come to d car owner and say oga remove your 25k from that 80k o and help me send d balance.. And you will still add, oga the two front tires no good again, you need to change it..
Let me reply as a car owner - - - - - Abi OLORIBURUKU ni Bobo driver yi ni...
(pls note am not insulting you in any way, just a scenario?
Boss....can you tell me your sector/industry, that your boss pocket 100million monthly (that's over a billion yearly) .

What gives you the impression of 120k, 80k weekly?.....did you consider fueling on the part of the drivers and other miscellaneous expense?

You need to read up the word Rent.....what do you think your boss will do if the owner of the premises come to her and say madam I heard you are making 100m per month...going forward my rent is now 60m monthly? ..it's either she agree or look else where for other options.

Try to read and understand my point....you have everyright to increase your rent, drivers have every right to accept or reject.. do you

I have cars on the platform and I drive as well...the achievable earning (net) in this hustle is 60k weekly...which is netting 10k daily without surge

On weeks with surge...you can climb 80k to 100k net (which is not consistent)

All those peeps flying around with dashboard (most of them uses a shared account)

Is it not same Lagos....with the traffic situation (the higher the long pickups you get the higher your chances of making enough : So the question is how many long distance journey can you cover in a day, beger to lekki this days you will spend close to 3hrs, lekki to sangotedo ?.. Ikeja to lekki? Island to ikorodu? How many of this can you get in a day. What makes the work easy is surge

On the part of the car owners maintenance and repairs is on the increase but if you source for quality parts it wont be a everytime thing, if your car requires repairs every two weeks or monthly apart from servicing then something is wrong.. but you can easily renegotiate with your partner's.....25k,30k,35k,40k you decide what you want, if the driver consider it high, both of you continue the search till you get what fits

Its crazy for car owner i swear... Once you save some cash, d guy show up with a huge maintenance and everything or most it will just zoom... And you start saving again.. Had to tell my driver that am not buying tires again, he should sort it out.. But the truth is, its your CAR, you really really and always wants to see it in great shape. This guys dont really care... Dru is a bit lucky, he has access/location to his favour, he get car at rock bottom prices due to his access, he get good quality spare part due to his access.. If he decided to start buying corrolla today, he might not spend up to 2m to get it here...
If an employer or renter is using a working formula, as a good entrepreneur you replicate it....if corolla is not making you break even then consider other options.....

No sir, its not easy to be honest.. Its not about lion share, its about being reasonable and fair.. I work for someone, i earn salary, i got a degree to be qualified for that job, i put in alot of effort to get that degree, i leave my house 5am everyday to get to work 7/8am....You see that my CEO, she stays in banana island, usually come to work around 11am or even 1pm, sometimes she does not show up self and there is nothing we can do.. My self and all other staff put in the CRAFT and INTELLIGENCE, facing threat every day at different bus stop, jumping bus etc.. You know what, on monday am going to walk up to my boss and explain to her, why i should be earning more than her? Pls advice me..
You see how you driver reason here..
The aggregate salary of all her employee is more than what she earn....if you want to earn more diversify (the higher the number of car you have on the platform the higher your earning ).

Before she employed you went through interview and you both agreed on a fair remuneration...just like you did with the driver renting your car.....if you think you want more, then call your driver and renegotiate...it's simple and straightforward.

....I ask you again, what do you think is the fair weekly remittance ...

If you feel a driver is cheating you, roll your sleeves and enter the streets so you make all the money.
ABI nah...The only partners that have every right to ask for equitable income are those ones which the car can take the heat, not the one wey go work today, die for 2days...

The only reason i decided to handle maintenance is because an average Nig driver lacks maintenance culture, even on his personal car, not to talk of a rental car. Do you know that a mad driver bought all this oil in eva/ragolis bottle and pour into my 2006 corrolla? A driver that remit 15k weekly, which i later increase to 20k..
Look at all the dashboard drivers has been posting for the past one month here, how can you be making such money and yet be asking for 25k weekly, out of an average of 100k net?
You know what, you guys see car owner as someone who has money and probably doesn't know what to do with it, and you see yourself as PROBLEM that needs all d money to get fixed, hence, you should earn 3/4.... You are not different from all thos agbero driving T4 or LT.. But you forgot one thing, once they take that car from you, you go back to your crumbs.. Car owner will still survive. You were not remitting a kobo b4 he bought his car.. Lets be fair..
Oga car owner....so how much are you suggesting...what do you think is the fair rate?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by IFSHR: 11:53am On Jul 18, 2021
Since it's easy to make that 120k weekly and partners want the lion share

The reasonable thing to do is to just retrieve your car and go hustle and net that 120k this time all to yourself Abi.

If you make over 30k daily, then it's fair enough to pay 2days money out of the 7days in a week to the owner of the car.

60k weekly rental is fair enough with the kind of dashboard we see here.
Why just 2days earning out of probably 6 to 7days....60k weekly is too small...90k or 80k should be ideal.

Why all this ?

When that guy was doing things his own way, we all gave our opinions on his approach to things, on the long run the guy decided to retract so peace can reign....so why all this ? What are you hitting at?....it will be an act of hypocrisy if he decides to react with his own way of doing things and anyone try to make him do otherwise....

My card details are in their database, I wonder what really happened that day though the driver said I am his first rider, he even called someone to assist him with bolt app.

Again, I am seriously considering getting a car for this ehailing business and my budget is N1m, will that amount secure a good Camry 04-05 preferably in good condition?

It will be used in Port Harcourt
Sure ...just see if you can get one around 900k with good engine and gear (very important)...then spend 200k to bring it to fair optimization.....ensure the parts used is OEM or at worst grade A tokunbo ...all the best

I was going through my ride history for the month of June to know how much I spent and I noticed no ride is above N3000 but in my bank app I saw N4200.

I initiated a chat with bolt support, but got a prompt that a charge will reflect on my account just for support, nawa oo
Oops I understand ....bolt will at-least compensate you for half the fee (that's how they do for drivers when we report cases similar to yours). I would advice if you are a high end user, why not add your card just to prevent such cases in the future.

It happened on the 13th of June and my call register could only capture till 20th June.

I wonder why bolt retrieved his details from the app
They retract full details of either of rider and driver after 48hrs ....he himself cant see your number from his App as well....

But why did you wait that long since you must have detected the error immediately?

Hmmm. Good day oo..

No1. I’m sorry for Derailing
For the past two week I’ve been making research on how to start Uber/Taxify/bolt business .. I’ll let you all to know that I’m 100% novice about this .

1.I want to buy a car for the business .. budget for the car is 1.5m to 2m.

2. I won’t be the one that will do the driving because I have other stuffs to attend to.

3. I don’t know much about car or anything .. but I’m looking out to get maybe a Corolla 2003 or Camry big daddy .. cos I read in one of the articles that your car must be very OK and good looking . U can tell me other options you think are better ..

4. How does one get a reliable driver for it? How do I even register the car( I can’t find their office here in Ibadan ) and make sure the driver doesn’t run away with my car ? Like how much will be my weekly income on the business ? Tbh my target is around 25 to 30k or 120k per months at least ..

5. How reliable is the business , knowing fully well that I no sabi anything about the business ( pls note that I’ve read up to over 200 pages on this thread o) but I just want someone to put me through ..
6. How viable is the business in Ibadan ??

Edit; someone also talked about me getting like 7 TVS okada, which each of them will be remitting 10k weekly .. but the reason I don’t wanna do that is I don hear many cases of Okada theft grin

And lastly , I no go lie I’m sacred o but I want to give a try.. I hope to come back to this thread and give testimony..

Once again I’m sorry for Derailing o .. thanks
I can offer you a ten minute free session (ask all your question) and I answer you....shoot me your number I will text you.....

Fast one....Lagos state is your best bet.....and as well prepare your mind towards full insurance and either of 4minutes/ car tracker.... All the best
