Crvrider: Its been a crazy week since on Monday. Reached out to madam radu and gazzuzz, even went to visit a mechanic I met on nairaland who diagnosed that I had to change the throttle body of my car. After trying two throttle body and the entire day in his shop with no solution other than he saying I have to change all my coils and plug, I had to leave bittered and angry for wasting my time.
Got a connect to meet with a rewire at oyingbo who charged me 18k to solve my cars predicament. I thought that was entirely outrageous. Anyways, got to oyingbo non the less but decided to meet a random rewire guy, took a chance on the guy. He had no fancy equipment, or fancy shop. He was just a guy in a shackle called a shop, or did he!?
Guess what in less than an hour this guy was done with only his screw driver with flexible copper wire attached to the bottom end.
He asked me to turn on the engine and viola the multiple misfiring had disappeared. The only thing he did was to service my cars vtc oil control solenoid.
I tried two throttle bodies My cars entire coils and plug was written off (thank God I didn't listen to the mech) I was asked to pay 18k by a rewire who thought himself as a god
for something a kazeem used 5k and under 1hr to fix.
See image of the culprit below: Abeg gimme him number |

U learnt a vital lesson already.....don't let that deter you from Airport trips....
The rule is never put of your car !
When request enter....drive round till you can physically ascertain your potential rider!..
give them instructions of engagement don't let them dictate for you, most of them are ignorant of the rule and will often abandon you to your plight.

jpworld: Not surge trip, of course i know surge trip.
See you as a driver will always see 65naira and co.
But riders are seeing much higher fare to compare what they are paying previously No sense.... So u mean rider gets a receipt different from driver ...but still pay same amount as shown on drivers app....or riders don dey remit extra fee to another account.. In trying to drive your point make use of valid fact not just grunted imagination to pass false information |

Olayetan: If he sells and pay off the balance on the deal, will the remaining money be enough to get a buy and drive car or you suggesting he goto rentals to save up money to buy another car or what's your advise after he sells the car and pay off the balance on it? If he sells the car for 900k ...and the partner agrees to take 150k.....with that balance he can get a ok naija use....so many platforms online.....with the history of the car attached. If he gets a car around 800k.... He can make a quick turnover |

mabeni: I found out the car i was given on HP for the sum of 1.9m was bought in 2013. He even bought the car as anaija used. Can you see how wicked some Nigerians are? Although, i have paid over 1.6m now, changed the engine and gear box of this car yet the car keep giving issues every now and then. I have spent close to 600k in maintaining it but these days, OWNER does not want to hear me complain to him in regards to the issue the vehicle gives him so far his delivery is complete. He even had the guts to tell me to sell of the car and balance him up. Though, he has been a helpful and understanding partner but i don't know what came over him these days.
What should i do please? If he wants you to sell it. Hope he/she is not expecting you to still pay 300k balance at once? U can negotiate that what he will get is 150k balance since it's a one off payment . What's is the re-sell value? After selling can u still get like 800k to call you own. to get another car.. that u can fully inspect since you have experience now.? Answer to this question will atleast make you not lose out completely. |
