I just replied to your email, @ifyalways. My baby is getting better, he has begun raising the shoulder small small with effort. I kept all our correspondence for evidence sake should she try to deny anything here and screenshotted them all including text msgs, emails cos that's mostly how we communicated as she claimed she isn't on WhatsApp. I'd have attached them but I don't have enough MB and the phone isn't mine per se. What pained me most was the way she cut me off without feelings. If she didn't have the money immediately to give me and asked for a little time, I'd have understood, I swear to God. But like I said, let God be judge.

Howyehh- Not the best i've read, but not bad. There's something about forced humour that makes an essay border on incoherence. However, the important thing is she was able to convey her happiness at visiting Ibadan again. I felt it flowing through her narration, and that's a very good thing. The presentation may be flawed but she conveyed her emotion.

Macknino- Average, but straight to the point. I like it because his flow of thought didn't meander. Slam, bang, thank you ma'am!

Akinowon 123- 'am' instead of 'I am'. This is a competition and you should bring your A-game, and I am afraid this doesn't count as an A-game presentation.

Chapter 1 vs 6- Average plus too many unnecessary details

BEANSandDodo- What I'm noticing is most people don't know how to skim and present the most relevant facts in a short story. This is very average. Unnecessary details.

Trojan 8- I learned skimming while reading novels in my teens. I skimmed through this user's narration and gleaned the entire story in 30 seconds because he was hitting meat of the matter paragraph by paragraph. Great job, I must say. 4 stars

Callertunes- Almost there, but not quite. 5.5/10 for the effort.

Lord Friar- He should have ranted about Ojo in the latter part of the narration, not at the beginning. He spent more time on Ojo than on the topic, which simply means he had a very shitty Christmas. That's basically what all that plenty grammar was trying to tell the readers.

Not bad, but not very good either.

Before doing transactions or giveaways that involve money for waybill or anything, the least you can do for yourself is to try and check the persons post history and maybe ask around. Quick check on this babyblimz entity will show him/her is not quite who s/he claims to be. Today hes in Jos, tomorrow in Osogbo, next tomorrow Ibadan.

Your description reminds me of a novel 'Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard' by Kiran Desai. It tells of a very dreamy 20 year old boy, Sampath Chawla, who like me finds the world too confusing and chaotic so decides to flee into the wilderness. He climbs up a guava tree and refuses to come down. He later befriends monkeys who share the tree with him and is nicknamed the 'Monkey Baba'. Alas, very soon his fame as Monkey Baba spreads and people come from near and far to pay 'homage' to him at the orchard. Unfortunately, as people come, they bring along the same chaos he fled from and it settles around his beloved tree. At a point he bitterly complains "all i want is to be left alone but they keep following me!!"
