Politics › Re: Stella Odua - Accident Is An Act Of God (Video) by ifyalways(f): 9:47am On Oct 08, 2013
Some accidents(home, air, car, land) cannot be explained because as far as science and technology is concerned, everything is in order, no man made error, carelessness or inefficiencies and its absolutely normal for religious beings to ascribe such as "an act of God"
Accidents are inevitable in every sphere of life. However,as one on the helm of affairs,it's not expected of her to say so. People are looking up to her to proffer solutions not to bore with her personal inclinations-which by the way makes her human.

I don't think this single statement makes her clueless. People get over whelmed and say things without thinking it through.

Our aviation industry is work-in-progress and can only get better. Stella aint going anywhere YET too.

^ ^ If a nurse in Nigeria can afford to cruise around in tinted glass cars she won't be found running night shift ,driving from mainland to Island daily, moving about without a driver and atleast one security escort.
Everybody has his or her own reality and for me this is merely bloggers story.
Things happen at night on third mainland bridge,no doubt but this story? It's called bedtime story.

Before your husband came along, who does she cry to? There is a huge difference between mentoring(career bla bla) and sharing your relationship secrets, ups and downs with someone oh and I find it quite strange that your sister out of everyone in this world, picks on your husband to be that soul sister/agony aunt. Strange things are not necessarily wrong but they are strange.
Is your husband a pastor or counselor huh

For the meantime and to be safe, try to get close to your sister.Create an enabling environment then use style ask her about her relationship(s),dont be too hard on her or appear pushy, judgmental etc.

Awurade!
This is sad. Such a young life cut short.

Please, please people should endeavour to have a strong network of friends or family living in SAME city as them. Someone you can "flash" during emergency and get a call back or physical check. Someone who'll be worried and look for you if your car aint seen at home at the usual time.
May God comfort those she left behind.

geeez: I always wonder why people do this on the street when they can walk into a pub, restaurant, hotel or filling station

They will get a warm welcome

The security men/women will open the door with a salute

The attendants will flash a smile for asking where their loo is

And the cleaners will respectfully clean whatever is left of the mess you leave behind
Are you trying to be funny?
Most outlets LOCK up their washrooms and only let you use it AFTER you patronize them, not a minute before . Some would let you use it if you tip them else they point the bush for you.

There are very few PAID public washrooms and half of them are not fit for humans.
Man gotta do what he gotta do.

Last month, she was looking for links to sell her eggs for money. Early last month.
Early this month, today, she's one month pregnant and looking for someone to buy her supposed 1 month pregnancy.
Meanwhile, she's created threads claiming to be making millions and soliciting for people to do biz with.

Call it whatever you like, people like her are called scammers in my hood. Emotional scammers.

What did she study in school ?
Where can she work ?

What was her mother doing, how did it go down, can it be revived and how?
Have she started the cake making classes, would it be better if her mom takes up that offer seeing it wont be bringing in income, atleast for now, while she looks for a job with a steady and sure source of income ?
Lastly, is relocation an option?
48 hours after and no response from OP?

Politics › Re: How The Police Killed An Innocent Man In Benin And Fled by ifyalways(f): 9:48am On Oct 05, 2013
Centdonald1: Its no news that the Nigerian Police comprises irresponsible and highly unqualified persons (Not all anyway) often causing the death of innocent citizens... The very citizens they swore to protect!
This morning, at about 7:30 am, I took a bus somewhere around ringroad to Ogida barrack and just as my bus moved, a police van drove to the front of the bus that was still loading in front of the bus I entered. The driver of the police truck got down and started flogging somebody I couldn't see clearly (probably the conductor)
...The driver of the bus tried to move awaw from the road with the police man still flogging, he pushed an innocent civilian to the road (with his open door and another bus coming from behind hit both the civillian and the door...
My bus was already far ahead so I couldn't take pictures! The victim remained on the floor in a pool of his blood and broken glasses.
Immediately, the police man ran to his truck and zoomed off! He passed the bus I entered and I tried to get the number written on the truck. Did it in a hurry and I hope I got it right. SPD8042C.
I hope the culprits are brought to justice. Help circulate that number just incase that van really in in Benin!
No emergency numbers you can dial in Benin ? angry
That person lying there is someone's loved one. Someones parent or sibling and it could be any one of us.
Please,do something. It could save his life.
I pray help gets to him on time.
Politics › Re: How The Police Killed An Innocent Man In Benin And Fled by ifyalways(f): 9:44am On Oct 05, 2013
Centdonald1: Well said! However, two wrongs don't make it right! Thepolice fleeing after the accident is the most shameful thing I've "seen with my eyes" in all my life!
I've heard things but never have I seen one this shameful!
Nigeria is a lawless country (which by d way, won't stop anytime soon unless we start speaking really loud against every act of injustice we see everyday)
You sef,do you even have an opinion? Whats well said in what you quoted huh

Whatever crime the bus or conductor committed, was an officer supposed to stop them in the middle of the road and start flogging them like fulani cows? Why not let the driver park well,or tow the car to the station? what was the flogging for ?

Abi this your tori na fake story kpa kpa undecided
Politics › Re: How The Police Killed An Innocent Man In Benin And Fled by ifyalways(f): 9:40am On Oct 05, 2013
donphilopus: I won't blame those Police men because they are bunch of Nitwits
So you blame the passengers or the victim undecided

Elliotwiz1: speaking up against injustice.....yes, i know that is what we need, but We're all blaming the goverment...i think the change will start from us... You said the police was being brutal towards the conductor or driver.....you can as well think that they must have done something against the law....You're putting all the blame on the policeman, what if the drivers had done the right thing, would this have happened?.....and the policeman did not kill him*he caused the death, but he was not the killer*edit the heading.
Are you for real?
What a load of papal bulls. angry

@OP,I dont know if the number on the van would suffice. No name of the said officer ? I know with the registration, the van can be traced to its originating station but getting the id of the officer using it at that specific time can be a dead end.
Its plain sad,how people are killed anyhow here. angry
