Quite hard to believe the story happened exactly as you claim, but anything can happen in this country of ours.

You could have just replied the guard,a simple "Oga abeg,i dey come out now now" would have covered you,as opposed to ignoring him totally. You felt you could walk over him because he is a common gate man,see where it has landed you. Calmly go there on Monday and reason with the gate man, forget all your gra gra till you get back your bike at least. He contacted the guys that towed your bike(he'll get share from the transaction after you pay) so he can also contact them for easy retrieval.

Remember : Cars/bike are parked at owners risk. angry

25,000.00ngn received with thanks from Funkybaby. God bless you awesomely, sis.
OP,still needs 14,500 ngn to make up his school fees.I can be reached via Ifyalways at gmail if you are led to support him.

@OP,while we pray and look out for the re-opening of the portal,i need not tell you to keep the funds with you very well. Moreso, keep checking for part time/casual jobs in and within Ilorin(very important). When school resumes, you'll need some cash to feed and run around with.

ayobarmy: @ify, if he sees a job fine, and even if its a no-intrest loan to start up a bizness fine, bcuz he already has a job that pays him 30k monthly without any add ons, and standard of living here in portharcourt is way too high to survive with that amount for some1 that is wary about his future.... Thanks
He has a job that brings in 30K each month? He's favored. Many graduates even in Lagos can't boast of that. To be very frank with you, your friend needs to live within his means, plan, save and hope for the best. Rome was not built in a day, life is not a bed of Rose and nobody made it easy. He has to be "realistic" with his expectations.

How does he utilize the 30K each month?where does he live and work? Fortunately,he has no dependants too. I'll try to work out a budget based on his income and my quite limited knowledge of PH.

Rent,including utilities: 3000
Food:10000(he should cook at home)
Transport: 6000
Refreshment: 2000
Savings:7000
Miscellaneous: 2000

NOU(national open university) should be in PH,its fees are affordable and the lecture hours flexible. If he starts keeping 7K aside from next month,he'll have more than enough to join NOU by next session ie sept or so next year.

Its not easy but very do-able. Determination can take him there. All the best to him!

yellowpawpaw: It seems u didn't get the message.
As far as I know, the sweets and biscuits I c flooding our market r simply not healthy.
My question is, how can we help ourselves since our regulatory agencies have failed?
Its not only those that I mentioned, drugs, cooking things like red oil etc.
How?
Are they expired or produced with banned/poisonous chemicals ?

The things those mallams sell they buy from the general open market and same things(and worst) are seen sold by big retailers too.
Anyway,NAFDAC works, though i fail to see what you expect them to do in this situation.
