REALITY101: Seun what's this? What happened to freedom of speech at least on the Internet since you guys don't practice it over there? You don't tell people what to say or warn them about speaking their mind or whatsoever. Guilty conscience much

IgboUK: The world is becoming a mono culture and we are all being mixed up. Therefore that means NO cultural diversity as we are all the same, NO racial diversity as we will one day all look the same. Tradition, culture and heritage are being broken down and no one really cares anymore. That is the sad reality.
I was born and brought up in the UK, but I honestly care and know more about the igbo culture than a lot of my igbo relatives in africa - nthey are too busy trying to be america.
This is very funny but quite true.

Family › Re: Marrying Without Love by ifyalways(f): 9:41am On Feb 22, 2013
I keep wondering about the happenings in our society, some people said early marriage is better while some said it is rather late. But the main point here is getting married anyway.

Women on the other hand tend to always be the main focus; even Mother Nature is not very nice to us. In the young age, we bloom like a flower, looking gorgeous for every eye to cherish. As time goes on, we lose some of those good looks and then “the MOTHERHOOD”. No matter how hard we try we lose it. Is natural!!!

Coming back to the topic, my friend will be 30 by March; she is so scared of joining the list of old unmarried ladies. Though she is in a relationship and the guy is quiet nice and caring “at least that’s how we see him” but the point here is that she doesn’t love him as such. ‘though this man wants to marry her.

She said in the beginning, she likes him and enjoys his company, but now she is really hesitant. Several times she complains of not getting the attraction, the urge to be with him. At times too she might want to see him but when they eventually see themselves; she does not get the pleasure/satisfaction. Even when he calls her nowadays she is always reluctant to pick his call. All along they have not gone far, they only kissed(according to her).

My question is what could be the cause of her not feeling anything for this guy, is it because they have not done it? She told me he has been demanding for intimacy but she always turn him down. Is there other thing this guy can do to make her want him or should I advice my friend to allow him?

Got me thinking too, that, can love be built after marriage? Maybe she should just marry him, after all there was nothing like love in old days.
Your friend should Not marry that guy because they'll both end up miserable.
From your write up,there is no friendship in this affair,no likeness,no common ground.Simply put, they don't connect so have no business being together.

Things get as e be for this country.
For GTB,You must have a current account with them before you can use WU.I almost cried for a lady with a sick mom dying in the hospital and her WU withheld by GTB.

As for those criticizing The OP's brother, its easy to cast stones in the comfort of your PC.When the Naija reality slaps you rudely, you'll play game fast.

While going through the thread and cleaning the insults, I noticed Malawian and Donchris999's insults and banned them as well.

You can now continue your peaceful discussion on the thread.

Odumchi, the silent lion, you have done the noble thing and have my respect. You can't afford to have. Your royal blood tainted with and by the rogues here. You are indeed very wise and I'm proud of you.

With your resignation, this whole ezeship is now officially relegated to where it used to and rightfully belonged to :the jokes section cheesy

The emotions, debates, energy you awoke in igbos here in your short tenure cannot be rivalled.

Go on, be you and live you, great son of the soil.

Nwa afor kara aka. Dimkpa !
Politics › Re: The Second Eze Ndi Igbo Parliamentary Office by ifyalways(f): 7:12pm On Feb 21, 2013
Ngwakwe, please what do we expect Odumchi to say now?

If I remember correctly, he's currently on en route impeachement.

Btw, had Odumchi asked those who in their twisted worlds gave me a Yoruba husband, insulted me to stop do you think they would have listened to him? In same measure, I for one would not because of Odumchi swallow any rubbish from anyone here.

There is a limit to what Odumchi or any eze can do. He cannot babysit grown adults. Knowing the type of people we have here, so long as Odumchi does not support them, his peace keeping mission would be seen as sabotage and camping with the enemy.

If we all act like adults, we won't need a 17 years old as an umpire.

OP, get up from your self pity and start thinking of how to live your life without this man. You can't be with someone that don't want you, no matter how hard you try. Stop meeting him up in hotels for fun.

Get a good lawyer and you'll get custody of the kids plus he would be contributing for their upkeep. Whatever be the case, maintain a cordial relationship with this man, just for the sake of your kids.
