R231, please can you just ignore Mac?
What would his so called secret amount to, bring back perx?make us hate perx or see Mac as a saint?

According to him, those things are issues of lost trust, fears, would break hearts and a secret so what's up with all the noise?

I wonder why you'd want to know? If there was anything perx could not tell tehn, then we don't need to know, not even from Mac.we all shared different but unique relationships with perx, let's enjoy the memories.
Family › Re: Are You Feeling Suicidal? Come Here First! by ifyalways(f): 5:48pm On Mar 07, 2012
I thought we've all passed this very grieving process ?

Can anyone of us question God,see and predict tomorrow?
What if she waited for the consultant fron Lagoon and still died afterwards? what if she survived the surgeries @ UBTH,what if . . .

Can we just move on.We all tried our best but God makes the ultimate and final decision.

Perx would be buried on Friday.Dust going back to dust.Vanity.

Lenny, no need for long story. If your sister according to you knows the mother of the child, please tell her to help all of us by helping the mother take the child to the foundation.
You can also do it as you have better information and are privy to the details, you can contact them via their website or call them.

Lmao @ sending me call cards. We take ourselves too serious.
Health › Re: Save This Baby Please! (Very Urgent) by ifyalways(f): 1:34pm On Mar 07, 2012
Stagger while I agree with the waiting list issue, sometimes and depending on the urgency of the case, normal formalities and due processes are ignored.

Your suggestion too is another way to look at it.

Guess the OP and Lenny are occupied with the fund raising to bother reading our inputs.
Health › Re: Save This Baby Please! (Very Urgent) by ifyalways(f): 7:38am On Mar 07, 2012
Btw,where is ameboajela the OP?

Seems everyone and anyone is creating blogs for this, are you guys working together or you have a way of accounting and getting all the funds together huh

If this baby actually exists and you guys have the fear of God,please y'al would do well by taking this child to Kanu heart Foundation in Lagos.
Health › Re: Save This Baby Please! (Very Urgent) by ifyalways(f): 7:30am On Mar 07, 2012
Lenny5000 please don't be ridiculous.A simple google search of kanu heart foundation and you are good to go.

He(Kanu) had exactly same heart condition, had his surgery and decided on opening a foundation to reach out to others in same problem but can't afford the bills.Since inception, they've helped more than 50 kids with varying heart conditions.

Tell me,are you more interested in fund raising or seeing the little girl healthy? I wish i had the mom's contacts,I would have contacted her myself cos i don't understand what is going on here.

Btw,the name sounds Ghanaish,Efuah Osei,is she Ghanaian?

mbulela:
I am not in sync with the complete pic here but please whatever is being done, do not buy any equipment for any public hospital in Nigeria. It has been proven to be a waste of private funds. Find a specific live and touch.
I share same sentiments.
I,my hubby and 5 couple bought a medical equipment for a govt. hospital in the east,7 months down the line, equipment grew wings and disappared from the hospital, till date, its still gone and no one to be held accountable.

@Jenny,spoke with him last yesterday and he is holding on just fine. The dad is still alive and was crying like a baby. The date for the funeral would be conveyed to us tomorrow.

^Aww English Adaeze, what a brave girl you are! Even the name you choose for yourself is cool.I pray your love never goes sour,Isee.

A lil'correction though,its "A huru m gi n'anya" and you can also add,"I na-amasi m oge nile" for special effects.The latter means,I always long for/desire you"
Family › Re: Are Gifts Between Couples In A Marriage Really Useful? by ifyalways(f): 7:07pm On Mar 06, 2012
What would marriage be without gifts ? I don't want to think about it.

@OP, I think you and your wife are yet to find out what the other person appreciate etal. Gifts don't have to be flowers, cards, its that little but special stuff that makes your better half go wow. I love amala a lot, sometimes I get back home to meet a set table with steaming hot amala, shaki, gear box etc per ordered and waiting for me,all his sins are forgiven. Lol other times its chocolates (bounty etc) under the pillow, ice creams delivered @ the office on a hot sunny noon, a simple but hand made "you are my sunshine" card. Those things spice up the marriage. I don't however subscribe to using credit card to buy gifts moreso when its the reciever that would pay for it at the end of the day.

Not posting on behalf of tehn, posting as a mere nlder. I am repeating this for the third time already, can the parents of this child/ the fund raisers take this child to kanu heart foundation? She does not need to know anyone before they would be attended to. When there is an NGO willing and ready to take up a case, no point going round seeking for funds.

Please the parents should not be over whelmed with money, the most important thing now is getting the surgery done ASAP and kanu heart foundation would do so FREE!

Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 10:19pm On Mar 05, 2012
I think it would be nice if we set aside every 1st march or the month of march in remembrance for perx.We can look for someone in any hospital to help,or someone sick but can't afford to go to hospital to foot the bills.

I think its better than buying an equipment that might not be used for UBTH.We can't save the world but we can save a soul.
Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 5:14pm On Mar 05, 2012
@anonini, you are right.

@Mac, thank you. We know about perx's kid brothers role in her life and would bear that in mind in whatever we do. According to perx, he stopped school at a point to take better care of her.
Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 4:37pm On Mar 05, 2012
anonimi:
Can TeHN please coordinate how we can get some and donate to UBTH in her memory.
That would be really nice and help others who might be in her situation.
This is cool but:
Do we start another fund raising for this?
Would we just buy it,donate and move on?what assurance is there that it would be sold off?maintanace culture nko? What if its dumped somewhere, left to rust?

I think there are some others tings we can do in Perx's memory.

Just thinking out loud.
Nairaland General › Re: Nairaland Charity Organisation- E-Helpers Network by ifyalways(f): 3:50pm On Mar 05, 2012
@Amebo,someone already posted this story on here before and i did reply.

I told them to take the little baby to kanu heart foundation where she would be treated FREELY and she'd have access to quality healthcare.

I know how things work here and the parents might be carried away by the money they are recieving now and might object to this.I don't know how much longer they intend keeping that girls life hanging by the whiskers while they go about looking for donation.

Good part is that they dont need to "know somebody" before they would be attended to by Kanu heart foundation. Please if you do know them, advise them to go there asap.
Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 3:20pm On Mar 05, 2012
Btw,I don't get your "lesson learnt" part.Who is that for?Perx or Tehn ?

We contacted a new doctor but Perx insisted on her old doctor so what would we have done?Stop helping her cos she went where her heart lies or impose our doctor on him?and what would have happened if she died there(at the lagoon) ?You think the family would forgive us?You Synthesis would have been the first to come here and rant about Tehn playing god etal.

Perx is dead, the family are no fools. If they decide on letting go,who are we to probe for autopsy etal?On what grounds do we go after the doctor?as family or what?
I think i would just ignore that your post. Its not worth a second glance.SMH
Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 3:04pm On Mar 05, 2012
Synthesis which doubts? She never existed, she wasn't sick or she didnt die huh which please.

To make it clearer:
The first visit was at Perx's house not hospital.

We engaged a different doctor from 'The lagoon hospital' Ikeja. He corresponded with Perx(and us) till 2 days to the day she went in for admission to UBTH.

We are but strangers trying to help and there are boundaries, you can't get over bearing just because you want to help.Family said she went into coma and died 2 days later. We can't pry further than that, sorry. Most of our relatives die daily and all we get is "he collapsed at the hospital".

There was a case of wrong labelling on 1 of the scan,i think the left femur. The doctor @ Lagoon hospital saw all the X-rays and scan.He made mention of wrong labbelling.Right was labelled as left or vice versa.

We visited Perx at home.I have her home address with me.

Lastly we'd be there at the funeral and if possible upload some pictures. . .

@OP,where are you coming from?
Just to add to the other inputs, before arrival, get in touch with your community(your countrymen) living here in Lagos, read their notes.

Lagos is a lovely city and also a no-mans-land.To survive, one has to be street smart, wise and fast. You would do well too if you learn to,as much as possible, mind your business. If you are a night crawler, make sure you have an id on you always and have in your circle, atleast 1 trusted friend.

Welcome. . .in advance

Jenny,I wish I could say it was all a joke, the lady held on tight and for soooo long. There is no right time to die but i can't help but ask, whynow ?

@Isale-gan,those are NOT varicose veins. She attempted suicide twice, with kitchen knife. Those are marks of twice foiled suicide attempts.

@Gboliwe,she needed her privacy, told us so repeatedly so we had to respect that.Have you stopped to think of the scenario were 20 nlders gets hold of her number just to send her sms?It would beat the purpose and ofcourse become a sweet nuisance.

@Topic,lots of "what if's " racing through my mind,how did it happen,why?why?why?
Perx,is this the lagos clubbing we agreed on?is this how to be an in-law?the secrets of eating so much but still keep fit you promised me?

Fare thee well beautiful one. You've held on for long and im consoled that its goodbye to pains henceforth.

Adieu Egbe.
