I am forced to ask you again,do you know something that Nlders and Tehn don't know about this surgery?

Did you Perx's own estimated cost of the whole surgery?and yes,Oga bed space etal where all included in the quotation!

For now,we have 800k and thats what we are working with until Perx/doctors comes up with new/unforseen quotes.

Good day Mac.

LOL @ your case.funny you.

I responded because we can't afford to work with loose conjectures and imaginations.A simple silence when not sure won't hurt. The costs of both surgeries as provided by Perx and on this thread, few pages back is less than N800,000.00 NGN(Eight hundred thousand naira only)

Her family raised 1000pounds,Nld have so far paid in NGN340,OOO.OO into her account .More to be paid in asap and in bulk.
Nairaland General › Re: Please Help Nairalander Perx - And She Went Home: RIP Perx by ifyalways(f): 3:32pm On Mar 02, 2012
^Where are you getting your figures from huh Both surgeries cost less than a million naira.

@Somebody,the account details would be sent to you shortly. She would still need a couple of hundreds of naira's however, any amount donated would be highly appreciated and make a huge difference.

^Stop confusing yourself and others with English jor.In your first post you claimed you are yet to legalize the union, now you are saying you've been married for 2 years.

Anyhoos,goodluck.

How is she your SIL?You must be living in foools paradise.
You are co-habiting with a man that haven't legalized the union and you're already moaning about SIL.

My dear, you better wisen up.The man according to your rant has started making "hurtful/unkind utterances" and instead of tackling that you are more concerened abt in-laws.

Is your baby daddy's sister living with you guys?
why is the marriage plans delayed?was there one in the first place or u were banking on the sweet BS the man told u during kpekus?
What are some of the so called "utterances",what do u guys quarrell over?
Hope you are employed?
How secured is the childs future with or without the man?
Does ur family know abt the child, and the guys family and what are they doing/saying towards legalizing the union?
Hope the pregnancy was not an "unplanned one or forced down anyones throat"?It was mutually agreed on?

whatever you do,concentrate on knowing where u stand in the guys life first. . .all other things shall fall in place laterz.

Politics › Re: Igbos Should Boycott Nairaland, facebook Etc Tomorrow In Honour Of Ojukwu by ifyalways(f): 10:22am On Mar 02, 2012
If you must boycott, please do,it does not make you more an Igbo or better than others who would not.

Announcing it even beats the purpose and reeks of hypocrisy. Why do we need to know?If you are convinced and feel its the best way(debatble) to mourn why try to influence others to do so?They should be allowed to grief according to their own personal convictions too.

People have different ways of dealing with grief or showing respect to the dead. Some would go clubbing to dance away their sorrows,a few would drown theirs in beer, others in church praying while yet some in sackcloth in seclusion.

I'd be around tomorrow, repping myself,a Staunch Igbo girl."I" to the letter!

Goodnight Ojukwu!!!

Who guards the park, police or private security?who was on duty that very night?

Strange the man had 200K in his pocket on a night out, what was it for?he's no stranger to abuja/Nigeria so he knows how things work here, what was he gonna do/doing with 200K in his pockets?

What does he mean by "relaxing" at the park?what was he doing/did he do for the 1 hour he spent alone at the park?

He claimed he tried placing a call while he was been robbed and the robbers saw that,i find it hard to swallow that line.Naija police i know of would have seized his phone immediately.

Which hotel was he staying at and why was he having no form of identification on him. . .but he had 200K plus ? who saw him enter the park?

Did the robbers escort him out of the park?If no,when he or the robbers left(whoever left first),did he raise alarm instantly?

Lastly,9ja police use black uniform but all men in black are not policemen. The mans story does not add up,IMO
Politics › Re: Policeman Seizes Kai Officer’s Phone For Taking Bribe_kettle Calling Pot Black by ifyalways(f): 9:21am On Mar 02, 2012
Taking this with a pinch of salt.Would he have seized the phone if they had given him "something" ?

Anyways, where are all the govt. agencies? Is KAI authorized to take money from people?take money without reciept?what reciept/paper/tax/permission does the bread seller require from the law to sale her wares, whats the cost and where would she get it?what was the 12k for and why are the officers not yet apprended?

The problem with our law enforcement agencies(police, road safety,KIA,Lastma etc) is that they are not out to direct people to do the right thing but rather to take bribe. What would it cost them to take this woman to the right office where she'll pay whatever fees that would enable her ply her trade legally?

Naijaklef:
U nid to understand that when MIL are frustrated becos u don't take instructions from her on how to run your family then
They go extra mile to retaliate. Her reason was dat neighter me nor my family could take care of my wife after delivery.

I have lived peacfully with my wife. I took her to the hospital for delivery. I had sleepless night in the hospital. She showed up and problem started.
Were you taking instructions from her before now?
Who was the man of the house prior now,you or your MIL?
Ok,giving you the benefit of doubt and moving forward, what are your plans now?to continue moaning online ? Argh, one should expect that by now,if you're as innocent and good as u claim, your MIL should be at one army barracks doing millenium frog jumps, your baby at home with ur wife(you treat ur wife fvck up much later) or you are expecting nlders to help you?

My friend,be and act a man jor!

@OP,how did the man become a widower with 3 kids?did you do your own investigations or the man's tales was all you got?

Your husband seems, from what you wrote, not so keen on getting a solution.if low fluid is the only problem, I think there are foods, alternative medicines around that have been claimed to help. You can as well try those while saving for IVF.

Btw, I don't think annonymous fluid donation is the way out for you. First, this is naija not Yankee, your husband is already exhibiting that naija stubborn/ego trait, he won't accept such a child believe me. He might even one day tell the child that he's not his father. Is this what you want? Can you handle it?would it be fair on the child?

While at it and hard as it may be, can you be a lot more positive please. Your life can't be ruined COS you have no biological child.Try and be of good cheer, enjoy the kpekus as much as u can, pregnancy might come when you least expected.

Goodluck.

Family › Re: thank you by ifyalways(f): 9:34am On Feb 29, 2012
I don't also get the idea of "talk to your husband" either.

C'mmon people, does this mean she can't effectively manage her own home?If she has to sit and talk with her husband cos of a mere 20 years old pranks then the whole marriage years would be spent "sitting and talking"

Would she sit her husband down to talk if it were her own brother?I guess the man asked her to hush cos he cant believe she cant handle a 20 yrs old bwoi.

Every man expects the wife to manage the affairs of the home. . .and the wife earns 100% right to do so when she does it effectively without crying to/bothering the man for every petty issue.

Try loving the boy, treat him right, make him ur friend,be patient and if that fails be firm.Put in rules and what happens when its not adhered to.Your husband is watching everything and would support you without u even telling him a word if you make the effort to "correct" the boy.
Sorry, but the OP have made no effort to correct the boy,she is merely complaining and nagging.
Family › Re: thank you by ifyalways(f): 9:20am On Feb 29, 2012
Oludashimi(sp) and Ori eja, very well said.

OP,is not serious sha.would she have created this thread if it were her brother?she would suck it up,look inwards for soultion im sure.I don't understand our mindset sometimes with in-laws.We don't even try, make an effort at all before we give up and scream murder, why?cos its an "in-law" !

If she were wise, this boy would be her best pal.Which 20 yrs old is contended eating just a meat?I was once 20 and i wasn't(not talking abt when the family can't afford it)which 20 yrs old was not heady and wants thing done his own way? This boy is prolly used to having things done his own way in the house,he was the one managing the house before OP came around and so it won't be easy giving up that role for the OP.Plus she is not making it any easy for the boy by trying to boss him around.

Dayo's post makes a whole lot of sense. If the OP wants to stay married to that guy,she had better adhere to that advice.
Health › Re: Heavy Bleeding After Aborting Pregnancy With Cytotec by ifyalways(f): 9:01am On Feb 29, 2012
I'm surprised OP claimed he couldn't get abortion done in a couple of hospitals in lagos.I know about 5 hospitals off hand where healthy legal abortions are done.Ooops, both boy and girl have to be above 22 years though.

@Topic,Take your babe to a general hospital, buy a card, explain your condition to ONLY the Gyn/Obs(some nurses are nosey, they want to probe u and direct u to their own person who might not be very qualified just for the money).

PS:Disregard the many emails you'd get from folks claiming to have one drug or offering all sorts of help,it would only worsen the situation.Take your girl to the nearest gen hospital NOW.
