The Bible is replete with scriptures that guarantee our financial dominion here on earth. Know them and know peace. It doesn't matter whether you have a million dollars in your account now or not. It doesn't matter! You enter into your rest when you know them. Nothing shakes you anymore. The economic situation of the country or the world doesn't bother you either. You come to that point where you can boldly tell anyone or the devil himself, "I CANNOT BE POOR!" And it's only a matter of time before you leave the dungeon of poverty, because it's NEVER meant for you. Here are six: 1) Genesis 1:28 "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." 2) 2 Corinthians 8:9 "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." 3) 2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." 4) 2 Peter 1:3 "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue." 5) Psalms 115:15-16 "Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men." 6) 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." I encourage you to make confession of the word your daily practice. Sooner or later, you will see the results. Remember, you are an heir of God, and joint-heir with Christ. Lack and poverty doesn't have a place in you. God desires that everyone of us lives in superabundant prosperity, glory, victory and honour. And this will be your own testimony!!! Congratulations! The Lord bless you and your family. |
There are things that God wants to do in your life for which you don't know. And your best bet is to simply trust Him even when you don't understand. Yes, trust His leading, for this is wisdom on your part. Shortly after the Israelites gloriously came out of Egypt, God told them through the mouth of Moses to temporarily camp at the sea for He had a plan, an agenda to totally vanquish their tormentors! However, because the Israelites didn't understand God's plan, when they saw Pharaoh and his horse men forcefully coming towards them, they panicked. Fear gripped them! For the Israelites, at that moment, it was better to remain their slaves forever because they were afraid of death. Little did they know that God wanted to glorify Himself so that all of Egypt would know that He alone is God, the creator of the heaven and the earth. In that same sea, God finished their oppressors! So my friend, do not think that God has forgotten you. Do not think that God is slow. Just before God gave the Israelites their inheritance, God told Joshua that He would drive the people occupying the lands gradually, so that wild animals would not spring up and devour His people. God is wise. He knows and has your best interest at heart. So, trust Him and follow His leading for your life. He's preparing something great and better for you. And by the time God is through, just like the Israelites, you will see His great work in your life! The next thing for you will be to testify to the glory of His name. There are myriads of reasons you can't fail in this world. Here are some: 1) You were created in His image: God, the creator of heaven and earth, never created a failure, nonentity, or a mediocre. Never! He created you so you could adequately represent Him here on earth. Guess what? He has also crowned you with glory and honour; and has put all things under your feet! (Ps. 8:4-6) So, you can't be permanently down! That's not possible! You were born to rule! 2) Blessings are upon your head: The first blessing God released upon man after creation is, "Be fruitful and multiply, replenish... subdue...and have dominion......" (Gen.1:28). So, you can't be poor! Even if all may not be rosy for you now, they definitely will! You are above! In dominion! You are blessed! 3) Jesus already purchased the victory for you: Now, this is good news! Even if there was an ancestral curse, Jesus already cancelled it at the cross! Nothing can successfully work against you. It is finished! (Gal. 3:13-14) 4) You are born of God: Since you belong to God your greatness is secured! Name it - prosperity, health, family, long life, etc. And it is your faith in Him that has secured all these for you (1John 5:4; Rom. 10:10). 5) God wants your life to affect other lives positively: It is God's utmost desire that your life brings Him praise here on earth (Isa. 43:21) Through your life God wants to harvest other souls that may have been lost to the kingdom of darkness. He wants the gentiles and kings to come to the brightness of your rising as seen in Isa. 60:1-3. So, impact, your life must! Yes, your life must touch other lives. Your light must shine! This is why you can't fail in life, my dear! God will help you! Shalom! |
It's very easy to compare yourself with others, especially among your contemporaries. But, as the holy Scriptures says, that's not wisdom. Focus on you! Resist that temptation for comparison. I know a couple of footballers who retired at the age of 34, 35, and most recently, Kevin-Boateng, who retired at 36. But C. Ronaldo is 38 and still balling! And guess what? He started before many of them! (Even Buffon just retired at 45, imagine.) My point is that, you should run your own race. Don't be concerned about others or what they are doing with their lives. It's none of your business! Wish them well and go your way! Pray for them. You too will achieve whatever your friends may have achieved, with time! There's what is called "Time and Season". Did you know what age Charles Sanders started what everybody now knows as KFC? That is why you must not give up on your life's pursuits. However, you need to be focused, disciplined, and determined. Get rid of the distractions! It's time to focus. Shalom! |
We were in our finals in 2019. And there was this course we did ( PSY411 - Advanced Psychobiology). From the course title, you would know that it's no child's play. Very technical! (You never know Psychobiology finish na 'advanced' kwa.) And the lecturer handling that course was highly dreaded by students. Since it was final year, of course nobody wanted to fail. So a good number of my colleagues sorted the lecturer. I called his colleague, who also is a lecturer and a friend because we worshiped in the same church on campus, and asked her what to do. She told me pointedly that I should join my colleagues who were paying up asap to the class-rep. Sorting lecturers is normal in higher institutions but not for me. I hated it because it is against what I stand for. It is against my faith. I do not like examination malpractice, especially that word 'sorting'. Hey! During my uni days, my colleagues knew me as a committed brother serving God in a unit in the church on campus; so if I joined them what would be the proof that I was different? I guarantee you, all my colleagues were Christians too. All! In fact, several worshiped in the same church as well. Long story cut short, I personally decided I was not going to pay for sorting. And really, it was not compulsory. Therefore, some of guys laughed at me, saying that I would fail for my foolishness. They meant well. You could write on your own and still pass. But it would require grace. Otherwise na extra year o! One day during my personal devotion, God gave me Job 19:25 in the Goodnews Version: "I know there is someone in heaven who will come at last to my defense." Immediately, I knew for a surety that I was not going to fail! I was convinced! So I started blessing and thanking God in advance long before the exam knowing quite well that I had passed. That was the kind of faith I had. And sure enough, I passed the course! It will interest you to know that some of my colleagues who had sorted for the course failed. It was an error on the part of the lecturer. I felt for them. What they were running away from caught up with them. Now the moral: You can bank on God's word, because it will never fail. God never lets his own people down. His word is so reliable and trustworthy. Believe God's word with the whole of your heart and you will see it producing results in your life. Shalom! |
I know we Nigerians are going through a turbulent time in this new regime. Yeah, times are hard at the moment. However, it is not time for you to go about wailing or crying, or causing the government. No. As Christians, we have a sure way of going about this stuff. And I tell you, it is not through complaining or grumbling. Rather, take inventory of what you really have at your disposal and start thanking God. Start with your health. Move on to the beautiful family you have. Go on to your business or job. (Even if you are without job or any source of income at the moment, give God praises still.) Then, you go on thanking Him for the roof over your head. And on, and on, and on! You know why??... The Scripture says, "Let the people praise thee, O God; let the people praise thee, Then SHALL THE EARTH YIELD HER INCREASE, and God, even our own God shall bless us". - Ps. 67:5-6. Yes, it begins with praises and thanksgiving for where you are, the things and people in your life. As you continue thanking and praising Him, then the portals of heaven will open, and God pours you out His abundant blessings! All through this month and till the year ends, learn to praise God, and you will see Him at work in your life. Refuse to complain, grumble or lament; just PRAISE! Because this is the right way to secure your money-bag - whatever help or miracle you desire from Him. (If this post has blessed you, check my profile for other inspiring ones.) Shalom! |
Bluezy13 you are yet to see? Are you playing My faith in Him has produced countless testimonies! No joke! If I begin to drop them here, you will not be able to read them finish. Ole ka tan! It's working for me. Read my other threads, you yourself will attest to it. However, long before this year ends, you will see HOW FAR the "believe" will take me!! Glory! |
Congrats sir, this man, na inspiration. |
One of the reasons Christians or believers are not seeing the manifestation of their desire is because of unbelief. It is very dicey to doubt the word of the Lord, in that you'll be shooting yourself in the foot if you do so. In order words, you'll be the one stopping yourself from experiencing the manifestation of God's power in your life. God's Word is God. You can't separate His Word from Him. So whatever God says to you through His Word or Servants, believe it! It will surely come to pass! A certain nobleman whose son was sick came to meet Jesus in John 4:46-53, pleading that Jesus should come and heal his son. At that, He exclaimed, "Go thy way, thy son liveth". The Scripture says, "And the man believed on the word Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way" (John 4:50). Just like that! He didn't doubt. By faith, he started his way to his house. And the good news?.. Before he got home the son had already been healed, instantly! Child of God, be like that man. Stopping doubting His Word. Even if it doesn't make sense to your natural senses, just believe! Believing in God and and His Word qualifies you for a miracle. Be like Abraham and Sarah who believed God's Word in spite of the prevailing circumstances. Be like Mary who believed God's Word from the mouth of the angel and became pregnant just like that without man's 'assistance'. Believe. Believe. Child of God. Believe. And you will prosper. You can still ride your first car before 2023 ends. You can still get married this year, whether or not you've found your life-partner. You can still secure that contact, get that job. Whatever is your heart's desire, you can still have it, this year!!! Just believe God. Believe His Word. (If this post has blessed you, you can read other inspiring threads on my profile.) Shalom! |
CCIA, thank God you reason with me. @CCIA. Please do check my other threads on my profile. I'm sure they will bless you. What I say to one, I say to all. Thanks. Happy reading! |
The mistake actually is from the Op. You didn't plan well enough. Before resigning, you should have gotten those structures and utilities down. Emotions aside. You don't mistake somebody else's property for your own, since you are no longer with them. Just move on. At least, you have learnt a lesson. Next time you will be able to make a more critical assessment and analysis, resulting in better decisions. You have learnt. May God send you help from Zion. |
Nemesis, no mind that my guy. Him dey play. |
CCIA you don forget say na university? You know how many carry-overs some of my colleagues park for year one alone? Are you playing? Shey you dey whine me ni You dey talk about Thirdie. How?No reason am. I read like mad from year-one till final, it's just that some shit do hapun. Just take the lesson from the post and run with it. Look at everything occurring in your life from the spiritual angle or perspective. Only with that will you always emerge victorious against the antics of the enemy. |
Omo, my guy, I no plan am. E just hapun! Nobody dey go uni go park carry overs , you know. |
I didn't come out with that, sorry. |
This day I just want to cast my mind back to my days in the university of Uyo. I will be sharing some truths about my personal life. Back in year one, at the end of the session, second-semester precisely, I had my first blow! I failed a course. And guess what? It was a GST course. If I told you that the "F" did not pain me, I would be lying to you. I almost shed tears. But I quickly reminded myself that it was only my first year and that I would be fine. So, I shrugged and left the department. And in my school, just like many others, a student could fail any of the GST courses and still be writing and rewriting that particular course till final year, and even have extra year join! That's how terrible failing a GST course is. If God does not intervene, your extra year is guaranteed. Actually, that was why I almost cried silently because I had been informed. In year two, second-semester, I failed another course again. GST again! (The first was GST121 - Fundamentals of Science and Computing. And the second, GST 221 - Entrepreneurship.) So I quickly wondered, "Why second semester again? Is the devil planning something against me?" In year three, I yet failed another course! Guess what? It was second semester! That was when it dawned on me that the devil was planning to keep himself for another year, not me! Because if I should fail a course in my final year that would automatically translate to "extra year". I knew what the devil was up to. So I flung into action! I started praying and fasting like never before! I remember I would go to the field every day at 12am during night classes, and pray him out of my way! We were in a battle. And I was not going to cave in. I attacked him morning, afternoon, night! Him hear am too, Coz na him start am! In 400 level, final year, he wanted to try but no way! So he came again second semester, no way! In fact, he almost got me in second semester - Sports Psychology (PSY426) - but God helped me. I passed with a D. In the said course, I almost missed the exam due to over-sleeping. I had arrived an hour late for the exam. Thank God for the lecturer who invigilated that day, otherwise I wouldn't have been allowed to come in let alone sit for the exam! That's why I said God helped me. To the glory of God, there were only three courses I failed and I still graduated with a good degree. I studied Psychology. Now the moral of this post: if you notice a pattern in your life, family, business, academics, etc. that's inconsistent with the will and plan of God for your life, please don't fold your hands and watch. Satan could be cooking up something against you. Instead, swing into action and watch him run way from you! As for you, you shall emerge VICTORIOUS at last. (However, if you had an extra year in school, don't feel bad. God is still on your matter. Don't give up. You will come out victorious and prosperous too.) Shalom! |
It is no longer news that we Nigerians are through a difficult time in our nation's history. Yes, it seems as though those in power had planned to choke the life of the poor through their abysmal and unfavorable policies. However, I would like to remind you that we serve a God who never sleeps. As a matter of fact, He is the God of wonders! Let me let you in. The Scripture says, "Thou art the God that doest wonders", and "To Him who alone doeth great wonders" (Ps.77:14; 136:4). This means that there is no situation under the earth that can overpower or overwhelm you. Why? Because you are connected to Him. You are tied to Him. You are His! Think of all the wonders God performed in the past. He led His people in the day by a pillar of cloud. The desert or wilderness is known to be VERY hot during the day, but the children of Israel didn't feel the heat for one second. For them, they journeyed under an ACid atmosphere. By night, God was a pillar of fire to them. Again, wilderness is known to be bitterly cold at night. But the wonder God was with them, so they never experienced cold. In fact, they didn't know how it felt like. Think of how God brought water for them out of that patched land, rained food for them in their rooms, clothed them, etc. Now, think of how Jesus fed the multitudes, healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, turned water into wine, etc! These are all wonders, from the wonder God! Child of God, don't allow overthinking, worries, depression or the like, to bring you down or to doubt your God. Don't die before your time! He knows you have a family to cater for, fees to pay, rent to renew, etc. He knows! God still performs wonders, you know! Expect His miracles in your life! Expect His wonders! Let Him do His work in your life. Allow Him. From today, start saying aloud: "I am experiencing the wonders of God. I am marvelously helped. I am enjoying the goodness of the Lord. I carry the favour of God," and so on. If this has blessed you, you can read my other threads for more. Shalom! |
So I arrived my PPA after the three weeks "vacation" to assume my national duty as a corper. It was a private school. I met the Head-teacher, who also functions as the principal, and told her that I studied Psychology. I was expecting her to give me Biology or any related subject to my discipline, to teach; but she then gave me English Language textbooks from JSS 1-3. I was like, "Ma'am, I studied Psychology." "Yes, that's the subject that's available," she answered. "We need somebody to handle that subject. We need English teacher." Omo, that's how I ended up teaching English and Lit. In English since there was nobody to handle them. And it was rewarding. I learnt so many things while teaching those subjects such that, by His grace, I've now become a better writer. I completed my NYSC last year July. So, fam, how about you? Did the subject you taught during service impact your life? |
Nice one, Op, this is so helpful. |
The fear of Obi is the beginning of wisdom. Him don dey admit small small. Let's see how it turns out. Las las, na Obi go sit don there. |

Op, now, you need to be thinking about the way forward. No allow overthinking or depression kpai you. Get your wife something to do if she's doing nothing at the moment. Hustle hard. Use your free time to learn any skill in your area of interest. That your in-law too, needs to be something doing to assist the family. If he/she has none at the moment, get him/her or ask him/her to get him/herself one. He/she needs to be productive and not be an extra burden on you. When next you want to meet your wife, pls use something. By now, you guys should be on family planning. Be prayerful. This is the time for you to draw closer to God like never before. Cry out to God for help. He's the only One that can truly help you. Your children for now, should be in public school until things improve and get better for you, which I know they will. So don't give up! Others I must also commend you op, you try. That means you probably got married early, which most nlanders have failed to point out. You try joor! But pls, take caution, and don't bring another child into this world again. The ones you have are okay. I pray the Lord send you help from Zion shortly. It is well. Shalom! |
Thanks.. |
That moment Joseph revealed himself to his brethren in the land of Egypt, they COULD NOT BELIEVE him (Gen. 45:3)! And by the time they returned to the land of Canaan, telling their father that Joseph was still alive, Jacob too COULD NOT BELIEVE them! Of course it was hard for Jacob to ever believe (Gen 45:26)! Someone who had long been presumed dead, after several years of not hearing from him? Anyway, that's a testimony. An incredible one. Jacob could not believe it - to see his hearthrob alive, now governor over all Egypt! Also, when the angel of the Lord told Abraham and Sarah that they were going to embrace a son the following year, the old couple COULD NOT BELIEVE! But it happened as it was said (Gen. 21:1-3)! An incredible testimony for that couple. Sarah who had long passed child-bearing age? Again, when Rhoda told the believers who were praying for Peter when he was captured and thrown into prison, and that it was Peter knocking at the door, they COULD NOT BELIEVE! Whether they believed it or not, they saw Peter live and direct! He was miraculously delivered from prison and death. Jesus, our great deliverer, told the neighbors weeping over the death of a damsel that she was sleeping and would be up again, they COULD NOT BELIEVE! They laughed Him to scorn! However, the damsel came back to life. Now, that's a testimony! For the family of the damsel, the neighbors and the entire community! I could go on and on. I pray for you reading this post right now, in this second-half of the year, God will give you INCREDIBLE TESTIMONIES that will wipe out all your shame and struggles, in the name of Jesus! You will be so shocked to find it hard to believe it yourself. Why? Because we serve a God who is a specialist in impossibilities. A God who does wonders! You are next to testify to the glory of God! Please comment 'Amen' if you believe you are person God is referring to. Shalom! |
Hbd... great icon! More strength, grace and wisdom! |
Hello Nairalanders, a very good morning to you all. I am Ifiok Jeremiah. By His grace, I am endowed with the gift of writing. That simply means that I am a writer, because I have written four literature books already. Yet, none has been published on Amazon, Apple, etc. Last year, I published two of my literature books. Now I would like to put them up there so that others can read them and get inspired as well. So how do I go about it? Hope somebody will not steal the books and claim ownership and be eating from my sweat? Your opinions, please... Moreover, I am also a songwriter and gospel singer. I dropped my first single titled, "Love You" this year. You can download the song from Audiomack.com and SoundCloud.com. (Ifiok Jeremiah is also the name) Please download and share. It's a very beautiful and danceable song, trust me. It will bless you. Thank you, very much. Hope to hear from you, soon. Modes, please take it to front page. |
Nigerians be want tear the records book for them . |
Op, you are playing with your fuuture! ?? Run ooo! You still dey wait? She promax! |
What I can deduce from that chat are: 1) The earlier the Op realizes that he's not in a relationship, the better for him. It's obvious that it is "eat me I eat you" . That one na relationship? Dey play. They are just playing games joor! And when both parties are tired, they'll go their separate the ways. 2) She's that bold to make demands because she knows the relationship no get head or tail. Lolz. Since op has eaten her, she has to ask for payment through billings. You sef see the boldness! Op is indebted. E sweet for free? Abeg, op just call it quit and save yourself pocketache, and channel your money into something productive. I rest my case. |
2) Keep your mind on Jesus - You must focus all your attention on Jesus, not letting anything whatsoever steal your gaze. Because, it is in Jesus lies the deliverance of your sufferings or predicaments. So, don't allow anything to steal your focus. Don't allow distractions, the pain or naysayers steal your gaze. 3) Prayer - The Psalmist says, " I will cry unto God, unto God that performeth all things for me". So, wisdom demands that you call unto God in prayers concerning your situation, and not begin to go up and down seeking help. Men will always fail, but God never does. When you call unto Him, He will answer you and show you great and mighty things you never knew. Don't run to men; run to God. Only He has the solution to our problems. 4) Patience - Now, this is one virtue you must not throw the trash! Patience is key! God will bring you out of every challenging situation but you've got to be patient. Don't be in a hurry. God is cooking something up for you. Allow it to 'done'. The Psalmist testified: "I waited PATIENTLY unto the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry" (40:1) . There will be no 'hearding' if the ingredient of patience is not applied. God will answer you and that shortly, if only you will be a little patient. Shalom! |
