nextstep: USSD is a quick code (similar to, but not the same as SMS). USSD is that *555*N# *737*N# code that we type to recharge our airtime or transfer money. You don't need an Internet connection for these. If you've setup to do transfers with your phone number, then it's trivial for somebody to do the same if they are in possession of your sim. They don't even need your account number to do that.
The one that scares me is how they can do set things up even if you haven't done transfers. Unfortunately, since banks think phones are secure and send SMS confirmation alerts, a thief can do short codes from it, check for account details, authenticate and sign up for transfers. And in addition, some banks even allow use of a 737 code to create a PIN (which defeats the purpose of 2-factor authentication)
I'm not sure why they'd need an insider working at the bank, since an insider already has all the information they need to steal money without stealing the phone.
Unfortunately, the only things one can advice is: - put most of your money in an account that is not linked to your phone, then transfer to your current account - call your bank immediately when your phone is stolen (this is silly advice for obvious reasons, but also banks are really slow to react) dis sounds strange to me bc I'm required to put my atm pin before I can transfer any money. |

Next2Bezee: It is money paid to pastor. People can say thank you to God by going down on their knees and singing praises to glorify his name.
If you pay money to your pastor, then you are paying money to your pastor, there is no spiritual meaning there. Your pastor will chop, clean mouth & clean yansh with your money.
God is above you and your money, he doesn't have use for either. Your pastor is not God. If you call paying money to your pastor "giving to God" then it is you who is blasphemous. oh! Christianity Etc › Re: HOLINESS Is NOT "Optional!" by Igba123: 1:59pm On Jun 11, 2017 |
opalu: HOLINESS CLARIFIED IN SIMPLEST TERMS
In the old testament, precious vessels that are strictly for God's usage were set apart for God only. They were always referred to as "HOLY" because they are set apart for God. A Babylonian King once raided Jerusalem and carted away those golden vessels to his land. Then his son who reigned after him was doing a VIP party one day and decided to use those dedicated cups. That was when a strange hand wrote on his wall "Teke tee mene urpasin" which Daniel had to interpret. That king died that very night for tempering with what was Holy. The point to note is that when you entered where the holy items were kept, you would have noticed that those items were Holy not because of what they did or were doing. They became Holy because they were WHOLLY DEDICATED to God! The Old Testament is a crucial part of the Bible because from it we can best understand the New Testament Life. Here in the New Testament, Holiness shifted from the earthly temple to humans who are now God's Temples. God no longer dwell in buildings built by man but in Temple built by Himself- Man!
That was why He repeatedly stated "BE YE HOLY BECAUSE I AM HOLY!" Someone once asked me:- "How can we be holy as God is?" I told him that if a stainless steel cup is containing hot water, can the container be hot BECAUSE the content is hit?" He answered yes. Then in said if you carry God, you don't have your own Holiness by simply transmit the Holiness of God. Whoever touches you feels the heat even without prayer and fasting. The physical is a shadow of the spiritual. The problem we usually have is that we make futile attempts to generate our own righteousness whereas the righteousness of man is like filthy rags before God. He has already made you the Righteousness of God through him who knew no sin but took away your sin! |
