I noticed that Africans celebrate Christian, Islamic, and European holidays but we don't celebrate Pan-African holidays. Do Jewish people celebrate German holidays? Do Armenians celebrate Turkish (Ottoman Empire) holidays? Do Arabs celebrate Israel holidays? Why do we celebrate holidays of people who enslaved, colonized and continue to neocolonize us? When people try to push them then people call you "Afrocentric" why is this?

Why are Nigerians celebrating these western businesses controlling more of the economy in Africa, how is this good? Those profits will leave Nigeria and go to the west and make them rich. We need to make our own brands so the money stays in the country.

Yes. But if look at it objectively, India has more population than the whole of Africa, bigger middle class than all of Africans middle class combined and have a bigger GDP than the whole of Africa combined. Africa will still be portrayed as poor until Africans start to take themselves serious.

Africa is still colonized. India and China are not as colonized as Africa. The sad part is that most Africans don't even know. We think since we celebrate independence that we are free. There is a big difference between political and economic independence.
