TRENDING!!! Another Nigerian Man Flies Helicopter To Work To Beat Traffic (Video)

By Wisdom Nwedene

A Nigerian billionaire identified as Alhaji Seidi Dantata has flown helicopter to work in order to beat traffic, Igbere TV reports.

Dantata is the Chairman and Managing Director of MRS Group, operators of MRS Oil and Gas and dealers in PMS related products across the country.

This comes barely 48 hours after a video of another Nigerian flying helicopter to beat traffic surfaced on the internet.

Igbere TV had reported on how a lady, according to eyewitnesses, got picked on the ever-busy Benin-Lagos expressway after getting stranded in traffic for at least two hours.

In a video obtained by Igbere TV on Tuesday, staff of MRS Group were seen hailing their boss who arrived with the helicopter in grand style.

Findings by Igbere TV revealed that Dantata recently acquired the chopper at a whooping sum of $2m.

“See my Chairman, CEO, the only CEO, him don tata”, one of the workers was seen chanting in the video.

Meanwhile, Igbere TV had earlier reported that, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says it has begun a full-scale investigation to ascertain the viral video of the helicopter that landed on the Benin-Ore expressway.

The General Manager, Public Affairs, NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, confirmed the development in a statement made available to Igbere TV in Lagos on Tuesday.

JUST IN!!! Why I Was Reluctant To Deal With Onnoghen - Buhari Revea

By Wisdom Nwedene

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed why he was reluctant to deal with Walter Onnoghen, former chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV recalls that president had suspended the ex-CJN before he was charged with false assets declaration at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

Speaking when leaders of Afenifere, a Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, visited him on Tuesday, Buhari said Onnoghen had to go because he acted in violation of the office he occupied.

In his words,

“I will tell you as Afenifere, that I had to deal, though reluctantly, with the former chief justice because there were millions of dollars, euros, not to talk of naira, which were not declared,” he said.

“I wonder what sort of conscience some of us have, how can you sit and preside and lock people up for years and even sentence some to death and yet you are not doing what the constitution says you should do by occupying that vital position.”

The president said his administration is determined to recover stolen funds and properties within and outside the country.

He said all the recovered properties would be sold and the money put in the nation’s treasury to make it impossible to return such properties to the looters in future.

“So, we are recovering as much as we can under the system and this time around I said the properties will be sold and the money put in the treasury,” he said.

“The last time they were given back their properties but this time around whoever comes after me no matter how generous he is, he cannot take money from the treasury give it to individuals, it will be impossible.

“But anybody who cannot account for what he has and for refusing to declare, we will have to do something about it.”.

Alex Ikwechegh Celebrates Father's Day With The Fatherless (Photo)

By Wisdom Nwedene

A renowned Nigerian business mogul cum philanthropist, Sir Alex Ikwechegh, today, June 16 marked the Father’s Day with fatherless babies in Abia State.

Igbere TV reports that Ikwechegh visited a motherless baby home in Aba South, Abia State, where he distributed free gifts to the children.

Speaking with Igbere TV in Umuahia, the renowned philanthropist revealed that he lost his parents at the age of 11, and within the space of three weeks.

He said having lost his parents at such a tender age, he knows how painful it is not to celebrate with ones parents at such an occasion.

Ikwechegh, who noted that children are gifts from God, said they all deserve to be shown love to and not to be maltreated.

His words, “Many people don't know that I lost my parents at the age of 11 within the space of three weeks. Back then, whenever I see other children receiving gifts from their parents, I always feel neglected and dejected because I had no one to treat me the way my father would have treated me.

“I feel very devastated seeing some people neglecting or treating those that their parents are no longer alive badly. In life, everybody is important and should be treated equal because that is what God wants.

“That's why, God in Psalm 127:3-5 says, ‘Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate.’”

“God sees children as gifts which should be handled with special care. That's why I'm here to celebrate the father's day with these children.

“I want to make them a promise, and the promise is that I will always come here from time to time to be with all of you in occasions like this.

“And no one knows where the shoe pinches, but he who wears it. I will never neglect you children because I have been in your shoe”, he added.

Igbere TV recalls that during the last Easter Day celebration, the former Aba North Council Chairman, Ikwechegh similarly visited SDA Motherless Baby Home in Aba, Abia State.

Igbere TV had reported that Ikwechegh donated huge amount of money, bags of rice, cartons of Noddles, toilet tissues, soaps, and assorted goodies.

As Okorocha Bows Out As The Governor Of Imo State By Wisdom Nwedene(Photos)

Written by Wisdom Nwedene

From today, Rochas Okorocha will be known as former Governor of Imo State. This shows that nothing lasts forever, and in whatever position we find ourselves, we should try to make a positive impact and touch the lives of people because that's what we will be remembered for. A good legacy.

Okorocha in his first tenure tried but everything changed immediately he entered into the second phase of his administration. He allowed greed to engulf him instead of the interest of Imolites that elected him.

Okorocha constructed many projects but it is imperative to note those projects have started to collapse which is a total disgrace to him.

If I were him, I will be in shame that the projects I built while in office started collapsing while still in office. But here he is, boasting that he is the best governor Imo State has ever produced.

While addressing Imolites, he said :

“I am a lover of peace. As I walk out of this government house today, let nobody fight me and I will fight nobody".

Like seriously?

A lover of peace who destroyed people's markets despite the case being in court?

In case he has short memory, let me remind him that the blood of the little boy killed during the destruction of that market is still crying for justice.

Let me remind Okorocha that the roads leading to his village is in the state of jamboree and very soon he won't be able to travel to his village again.

Also a bridge leading to Ogboko, the village of Okorocha reportedly collapsed.

Another part of the same road has almost been cut off after heavy rainfall in the area.

Let's not forget that this Okorocha slashed civil servants salaries, giving pensioners cheques that are not cashable and tried removing his Deputy just to make his Son-in-law the governor of the state.

There were high rates of kidnappings, Killings, assassinations in his administration.

In conclusion, whatever a man sow, that's what he will reap. And the time has come for Okorocha to reap what he planted in 8 years of being in office.

Critical Analysis Of Gov. Umahi's First Term In Office By Wisdom Nwedene (Photos)

Written by Wisdom Nwedene

As Governor David Nweze Umahi's first term in office is set to elapse soon, it is pertinent for me to analyze how well he has done as the Governor of Ebonyi State since 2015-2019 before he enters into the second phase of his administration.

This article is going to base on my findings as a journalist working in Ebonyi State and not just that, as an Indigene of the state.

There is no doubt that Umahi has done a remarkable job when it comes to infrastructure in Ebonyi State and I must commend him for that.

In fact, he has changed the narrative of the state, from "Dust Of The Nation" to indeed, the 'Salt Of The Nation' and even 'Light of The Nation'.

Many people who visited Ebonyi State before Umahi became the Governor of the state can testify that Umahi is indeed a 'workaholic Governor' if they should visit the state now.

But how well has Umahi performed in other sectors?

EDUCATION : Let me first commend Umahi for reconstructing and equipping many schools in the state and also for approving the promotion of the state university staff – a decision that had stalled for years. Elechi's administration failed woefully in this aspect.

Umahi also reduced the school fees of Ebonyi State University Students, although he collected it back from other avenue. Let me commend

I will rate him 6/10.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION : Umahi has performed very well in this aspect. He has completed over 30 roads within the capital city of Abakaliki. He has also rebuilt some federal roads, especially the Afikpo-Abakaliki Road and the Nkalagu Road.

He reconstructed many dilapidated roundabouts and built flyovers which have given the state capital a new look.

I rate him 9/10. Kudos to him.

HEALTH : Umahi has also tried in Health Sector. No wonder he declared emergency in the health sector and began the reconstruction of general hospitals in the state.

He built the first virology centre in the south east from scratch, to reduce Lassa fever deaths. He tried but Elechi performed better than him in this sector.

WORKERS : The workers in the state have been crying over umahi's decision to revert to the old salary structure for workers, from the new structure approved by Elechi.

Every worker in the state has this mindset that Umahi's administration hates them because of this decision. The workers in the state are poorly paid which is not good. He should do better in his second term in this sector.

Let me commend him though for paying workers’ salaries till date.

According to report, workers have received their salaries on for the last three years of him being in office. Also, Salaries are paid before 20th of every month, while those of teachers are paid before the 15th of every month.

I rate him 4/10.

INFRASTRUCTURE : I must say kudos to the governor for a job well done in this sector. He performed extremely well even with the small allocation the state receives every month.

He constructed many flyovers, Ebonyi Tunnel, reconstruction of Margret Umahi international market, State Of The Art Ecumenical Worship Centre, Shopping mall, reconstruction of Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, etc.

In fact, I rate him 9.5/10

AGRICULTURE: Governor Umahi performed very well in this sector equally. In his administration, he poured billions of naira into the sector as soft loans to farmers, targeting expanded rice farming. This can be verified. Just ask any serious farmer in Ebonyi State and he will testify to this.

He also bought parboiling machines for its three rice mills.

I rate him 7/10

In conclusion, I must say kudos to Umahi for achieving these feats but he must correct a lot of things in his administration.

*He must stop the family business which he has been doing since he emerged as the Governor of the state.

*The illegal tax collection currently rampaging the entire must stop. It is very devastating.

*There are Illegal fees going on in the University, Primary School, Secondary School which should be ended.

*Finally, he should treat the workers in the state very well.

A Nigerian man of Igbo extraction, Charles Awuzie has stormed Swaziland, few hours after report emerged that King Mswati III said men in the country should marry five wives or risk jail, Igbere TV reports.

According to report, King Mswati III of Swaziland has declared in Mbabane Swaziland that men will from June 2019 be required to marry at least two or more wives or be jailed if they fail to do so.

The king, who has 15 wives and 25 children, while his father and predecessor has more than 70 wives and 150+ children, noted that there are more women than men in Swaziland which he says is a very serious problem for a country, which is known to be full of virgins.

According to reports, men from Swaziland are therefore required and expected to take more wives so that every woman gets a husband.

In a statement, king Mswati called for all men in the country to marry at least five wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them.

King Mswati warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”.
